Delicious plates, not one of our choices was disappointing. All the fish melts in your mouth, duck magret equally exquisite.
What guests say about Fleurs et cadeaux
The reviews are overwhelmingly excellent and highlight creative, fresh, and flavorful Japanese cuisine, with frequent favorites including the sashimi, duck, and tasting menu. The atmosphere is often described as intimate, cozy, and original, with a good selection of sake and cocktails. On the downside, some find the place a bit tight, the bar seats less comfortable, and the service sometimes rushed or uneven during busier times. Overall, it is a highly appreciated spot for a special outing or a good dinner in Montreal.

Do the tasting menu - you will not be disappointed! Shockingly good wine on tap.
10/10 as usual. We had the sashimi platter, and tuna tataki. Great hop vibe and amazing service by Nelson.
My friend doesn’t approve it
Wow!
Delicious food and flavours that really excite the pallet. Everything was delicious, the duck the beef the sushi the chicken the dessert the cocktails wow wow wow - music was too loud I could barely bear the person beside me and was giving a Latin / jazz vibe… would have loved more lounge or lower volume music - other wise great staff and food !! We will be back :)))
The food was excellent as always, we really love that place. The service was rushed though, it's unfortunate and it was the first time it happened to us.
Best place for modern japenese good in Montreal. Loved everything from food to service and ambiance.
One of the best spots in mtl. Best food, best wine, best vibes. The music downstairs at Sans Soleil is proper vinyl. Big shout out to Gray and Kiera, they always deliver amazing service.
Impossible to have a bad time. The food slaps, the service rocks and the wine recommendations don’t miss. Shout out to Gray and Kiera for bringing the vibes.
We were 4 adults and we ordered 7 or 8 different different meals as per our lady server proposal. A real pro since she did not take any notes of what we ordered. Guest what, she forgot the duck and it is at the end of our dinner that we askedmentionned that we did not get our duck. No escuse, no i am sorry... her and no as not coming we m* plates two deserts and 6 glass of wine for 355$ . The plaste were good but there are better alternative in Montreal for that king of service and prices.
Would absolutely recommend it here, the food was delicious.
This is one of the best restaurants in Montreal! We went in without a reservation, but I’d recommend making one. It was 5 on a Sunday and it was already full! The staff was so friendly and very accommodating to allergies! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and it was so cool to sit at the camera and see it all be prepared!
Rosie, amazing service and amazing drinks. Thank you for making my night.
Loved the food and cozy vibes ! Only wish portions were a bit more generous, it was just too good !
Absolutely my fave dinner for our Montreal trip. Everything was super tasty, especially that miso-aged DUCK! I was convinced to go by the reviews about the duck, and it exceeded all of our expectations. This was such a lovely experience, and such a great way to get a variation of Japanese flavours in Montreal. Our server was amazing and did not hesitate to explain any questions we had about the menu, including how many dishes she suggested for our group size, as well as our options for a tasting menu if we wanted. We ended up just ordering a la carte, but I’m sure we would have loved the tasting menu just as much. Food came out in waves based on when she thought food should come out, and it was a phenomenal experience. We’ll have to make this a stop everytime we’re back.
Gorgeous restaurant, perfect food, delicious cocktail and sake, excellent service. Pretty perfect all around. Every dish a winner: ohitashi, potato salad, perfect egg, chirashi, ice cream
A couple of sauces could go a long way, say for the hanger steak or duck, but over all the food was great and we loved the atmosphere. Don’t look now, but on my way back from the bathroom I noticed a door cracked where a speakeasy was below the restaurant! We will be back.
I can comfortably say that I ate the best Tuna Sashimi in my life, and I eat a lot of sushi. Everything was great. The only thing I would say is I sat at the bar and the stools were horrible. It was so uncomfortable I had to stand several times during the meal.
Everything was amazing! The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the vibe there was so cool - busy butbintimate at the same.time. I plan to come back next time I am in Montreal.
Disclaimer: This review is more of a 3.5/5 star than a 4, but I'm giving it a 4 because I would actually still come back just for the sushi. Pros: 1. Sushi was terrific. Some of the best in the city. And that includes the rice as well, which was phenomenal. 2. The meats were also A1. Though, I hope they weren't cooked sous-vide (that method is being phased out because of microplastic contamination) but I have a suspicion they were. Owner, feel free to confirm. Either way, excellent. Cons: 1. Seating at the bar (if you're lucky not be facing a literal wall) is uncomfortable for longer than an hour. 2. Plates came out at random. Meat, then sushi, then noodles, then meat, etc. Insulting to the sushi in my opinion. 3. This is one of those devious sharing-plate restaurants that lets you easily rack up a big bill with only a couple of drinks and a few sharing plates without really noticing the total until you get the bill. Caveat emptor. But either way this style of restaurant is fading away, people are tired of sharing and overpaying for small portions. 4. The steak, for example, is far too good to be served on its own without any accompaniment. It's seems really silly. It's a sneaky way to rack up another $30 charge just to get to taste a few slices of beef. But it was good. 5. Some dishes were not well balanced, like the paprika noodles. Extremely cloy in the mouth. The ice cream suffers the same problem: overpowered. It's as if whoever is tasting the food in the kitchen is a heavy smoker or drinker because those dishes were not balanced whatsoever. 6. Last but not least, Fleurs et Cadeaux is peak "Montreal service". Cold and ironically unfriendly, as if they're doing you a grand favour by letting you in. Fake smiles that disappear the moment they turn away, and they won't bother asking if you liked your food or how the evening is going. Also, a restaurant of this caliber shouldn't let staff dress in tattered Value Village. Again, that classic "ironic" Montreal service that just makes me cringe. This isn't unique to Fleurs et Cadeaux, it's just endemic to this city. In short, despite the lack of good service and comfort and some issues with some of the dishes, this place cares about quality especially when it comes to the sushi.
Amazing food and cocktails. The agedashi tofu was so good, it’s amazing how they elevated a tofu dish 🤩 service is 100% too
This place was perfect in every aspect except for the host, who didnt really make us feel welcome. I normally dont care about this stuff, but this is a MUST for me in the service industry, ESPECIALLY if the food is michelin Bib Gourmand quality, which in my opinion it is!
The best way to describe this place is “pretentious”, from the staff to the cocktails and down to the meals. Menu is confusing at first sight but you get barely any help from the waitress - almost looking down on me for not being familiar with the meals. Cocktail was rancid. The “vegetable of the moment” was just a blanched piece of broccoli in cold water. Is that a joke? Having sesame sauce right next to it doesnt “elevate” the dish. Pretentious. 45$ for, more or less, a pokebowl wasnt worth it either. Udon spicy pork basically tasted like some sort of pistachio italian ragu - not japanese at all. But what do you expect from a japanese restaurant that doesnt employ any japanese cooks in the kitchen? The only thing this place is good for is an instagram picture. Super overrated.
Great service with next level attention to detail. Food was out of this world, with thought that went into the last little detail. Fun atmosphere and av great crowd.
