Excellent dessert, food is tasty, atmophere is good,dj is good.
I have been several times and this was the first time that I did not have a good experience. Our server was rushing us even though we had over an hour left of our 2-hour reservation window. She was rude. Several times. I don't know if I will go back. I will stick to Sans Soleil, downstairs, where Stéphanie and others on the team are always very welcoming.
Despite being busy, took time to see if they could accommodate us and found room for a party of 3. Fantastic food and service. Little pricey but well worth it for the quality. Great atmosphere and staff.
Great food. Waitress Claudia was a gem Definitely will be back soon!
My wife and I shared the following dishes: Tsukemono (various pickled veggies) 8/10 Chirashi Sushi (assorted sashimi) 8/10 Miso Duck 9/10 Nanban (fried chicken) 9/10 The place and ambiance are nice, and service was good and efficient, but it simply takes too long between dishes, so you just kind of end up waiting for what's next. Tasty food but too much $ and time spent for what you get.
Tucked in an intimate space in Chinatown with a Speakeasy sensibility, Fleurs & Cadeaux was delicious from start to finish. The server curated a perfect tasting menu, along with some very good sakis. Among the highlights: artfully presented sashimi, agadashu tofu, well-cooked meat and a pork noodle dish that bordered on ecstatic. I reserved a week in advance and would’ve preferred a table rather than a somewhat uncomfortable backless bar seat, but the bar does offer a cinematic view of the chefs in action. I will definitely be back!
One of our favorite meals of all time!
The food was delicious, we ordered a bunch of plates and I enjoyed them all. However the service was not great. Our waitress seemed annoyed and kept making passive aggressive comments the whole night. At the end of the night, the person who was in charge of closing up that night was also extremely rude to us. I’ve been wanting to try this restaurant for a really long time and I was just so disappointed on how unwelcoming the staff was. It’s a shame.
Chicken to die for. Staff, service and food were top notch.
Where to begin. The crew running the iconic chateau rose shines on all corners of hospitality. Love returning to it every chance I get,
Delicious. Bar seating.
Great atmosphere and fun concept. But the food was heavy and unrefined. Onsen egg the highlight, lovely dashi. Nanban chicken a mediocre karaage, pieces too large and lacking crunch. Chirashi fish very nice but served on disappointing rice that was like a dry, cold, underseasoned afterthought. Basically a 7.5/10 experience if Google allowed that, fine but not worth a detour.
This Japanese restaurant rocks. It's run by a crew of young passionate people with a lot of energy to give. We sat at the bar and was greeted with a cool bartender named Thomas. He kept up with us all evening, topping off drinks and making sure everything was to our liking. We watched the cooked prep our food with laser focus all night. It was quite the experience. My girlfriend and I love it and would recommend it to anyone. I actually am giving 5 starts to this place because I cannot think of something I would have changed. Sure the place is small and a bit crammed, but that just adds an atmosphere of unique closeness.
Went for my birthday and loved it
Ambiance and location is great but the food was overhyped for the price range.
Delicious plates, not one of our choices was disappointing. All the fish melts in your mouth, duck magret equally exquisite.
Do the tasting menu - you will not be disappointed! Shockingly good wine on tap.
10/10 as usual. We had the sashimi platter, and tuna tataki. Great hop vibe and amazing service by Nelson.
My friend doesn’t approve it
Wow!
Delicious food and flavours that really excite the pallet. Everything was delicious, the duck the beef the sushi the chicken the dessert the cocktails wow wow wow - music was too loud I could barely bear the person beside me and was giving a Latin / jazz vibe… would have loved more lounge or lower volume music - other wise great staff and food !! We will be back :)))
The food was excellent as always, we really love that place. The service was rushed though, it's unfortunate and it was the first time it happened to us.
Best place for modern japenese good in Montreal. Loved everything from food to service and ambiance.
One of the best spots in mtl. Best food, best wine, best vibes. The music downstairs at Sans Soleil is proper vinyl. Big shout out to Gray and Kiera, they always deliver amazing service.
