definitely worth the hype, we were more than satisfied with the zozonna pasta and the polpettes which were so savory! we felt the service was a bit pushy, they clean up your tables & come over very often. but i definitely recommend for date night! 💌

Great time at Figata — I loved the vibe. The service was good and the atmosphere was really nice. My two comments: First, $19 for a drink is a bit excessive. I was actually the only one at the table who ordered one because everyone else found the price too high. I’m totally fine paying $14–15 for a cocktail, but when my drink is almost the same price as my main meal… I’m good, thanks. Second, portion sizes were solid for my friends (risotto, mushroom pasta, and vodka pasta all looked great). My pasta vongole was delicious, and there was a generous amount of clams and sauce, but the actual pasta portion felt a bit light. It just needed a little more to balance the dish. The calamari and shrimp were really good. The burrata was good as well. The focaccia, though, felt more like sliced bread than house-made focaccia. Overall, I’d go back — I’d just rethink what I order next time… and probably stick to water.

Delicious italian food in a nice little cozy restaurant. The spaghetti frite was definitely unique and would make me want to come back for it.

We were seated at the bar, and while I don’t usually love that, there was ample room and it was good bar stools. The bartenders were super friendly and provided excellent service. Now, most importantly, the food somehow lived up to the hype. 10/10 experience

Fries — mid. Felt even under-salted. Crispy; I liked the shape, but the bowl came barely filled because the sauce cups took up so much room. There were a lot of scraps (half curlies, even 1/3rd curlies). -5 Meat sauce — boring, like just simple meat sauce. Béchamel — good, okay sauce felt kind of like a mushroom saice. The concept seems fun, but the flavours felt a little flat. Caesar — good, very anchovy-forward!! -7.7 Perfect amount of parmesan — I liked it. If you don’t like anchovies, you might not enjoy it (there were also some stray anchovies in the bowl). Some pieces were so saucy, I enjoyed that. Lettuce was fresh and good, but no croutons (she said she'd give us non-bacon ones, but we didn’t get them) — still enjoyed it. Definitely an acquired taste. Mushroom — noodle al dente a bit; I liked the noodle shape. It was good. While I love mushrooms, it felt almost like too many. Good, but Amerigo mushroom pasta is even better (though this was the best of the bunch). 7 Tomato — interesting spice. There was something a little weird in the sauce, like an unrecognizable, earthy flavour. I liked the shape, but it was solid average — nothing outstanding, literally just a tomato sauce with cheese. -5 Vodka — disappointing . Spice overpowering; doesn’t taste like vodka sauce at all. Besides spice, it has no flavour whatsoever. Homemade is honestly better. -4 Service — good. They filled our water often. Our waitress was nice. Good romantic ambiance, dark, so if you’re someone who pulls out a flashlight in dark restaurants, beware your flashlight will be out. Cute vibe — it’s Italian, homey( with the tablecloths), but with a more fancy vibe. All in all, everyone I went with, myself included, rated it between 5–6. for the total restaurant experience food wise. It’s a try-once-and-go-back-to-your-comfort-spot kind of place. Definitely overrated, and I wouldn’t go back, just a place you try because everyone is posting on TikTok.

Long story short, the same is legit, the place was great and I would go back. Its not cheap but it was definitely worth it. Okay so full disclosure Italian is my least favorite type of restaurant to eat out at, not cause of the taste but I just feel like I can kindof make this at home vs like indian, thai, etc. That said this place and experience was worthwhile. Recently opened and reservations were hard to come by but eventually got a table for two on a Wednesday night that ended up being packed as well. The place isnt huge but its welcoming, perfectly lit, music at the right level and warm. Servers were very friendly but it did take a while, that said it was busy so not the end of the world. Menus are nice and simple started with couple of drinks, drinks and food are both just 2 sides, something to be said for simplicity. We ordered a couple of cocktails, two appetizers and two mains which was ambitious and overkill. We had the meatballs and the veggies apps, and for the mains the Zozzona and the mushroom pasta (Funghi E Tartupo). The Funghi was the standout for both of us but everything tasted fresh, simple and rich at the same times. Both mains were huge so its great for sharing I would say 2 apps and 1 main is enough to share for 2 ppl, even 1 app and a main but you will probably be taking something home like I did too.

Cute spot, but in a neighbourhood that already has a lot of great Italian restaurants we were expecting it to stand out. It really didn't. Mediocre at best; would sooner go back to Elenia, Gia, or Barbara.

Figata is just a really solid Italian restaurant that gets the basics right—and that’s exactly why it works. The vibe is warm and relaxed without feeling trendy or overdesigned. It’s comfortable, well-lit, and feels like a place meant for eating and talking, not taking selfies. You sit down, order a glass of wine, and you’re immediately at ease. The food is the star. The pasta is excellent across the board: properly cooked, well-seasoned, and not drowned in sauce. The flavors are clean and confident. Nothing feels overworked or gimmicky. Whether it’s a creamy mushroom pasta or a tomato-based dish finished with cheese, it tastes like someone in the kitchen actually knows what they’re doing. The appetizers are simple and done right. Burrata is fresh and creamy, vegetables are treated properly, and everything tastes like quality ingredients instead of kitchen tricks. It’s classic Italian cooking with restraint, which is harder to find than it should be. Service is friendly, efficient, and knows when to leave you alone. No hovering, no attitude, no upselling nonsense. Just solid, professional service. The wine list is strong, leans Italian, and pairs well with the menu without being overpriced. Figata doesn’t try to reinvent Italian food or chase trends. It focuses on execution, consistency, and comfort—and it delivers on all three. If you want dependable, well-made Italian food in Montreal, this is an easy five-star spot and a place you’ll want to come back to.

What a great new spot in St Henri! Service was kind and attentive, sat at the bar (barstools actually comfortable so if you are a meal-at-the- bar lover, this is a great spot), charming and not too big. I had a delicious mocktail, my friend a regular cocktail, both great! We split the octopus, served with beans and it was perfectly cooked. We each chose the scallop risotto and highly recommend! Will definitely be back

Everything was wonderful from the moment we arrived till we left. Our server Naira was amazing and had such a wonderful energy. The food and drinks were also really good, the family sized tiramisu was tasty with a good balance of espresso and mascarpone. Will definitely be back!

The vibe? Immaculate. Low lighting, classic Frank Sinatra playing, giving full Italian bistro in New York energy — intimate and cozy. The spaghetti fritti was delicious. Pro tip: get the sauces on the side. I just wish the pasta came with more sauce. The sauces taste so authentic. The Caesar salad had a slight aftertaste and didn’t really taste like a classic Caesar. Now the tiramisu? Elite. Non-negotiable. Must-order. Absolutely divine. This place is a whole aesthetic🍝

Lovely part of town, decent service but food was a total miss. We had the caesar salad .. it was overly slimy and anchovy heavy… both pasta dishes disappointed.. salted beyond reason and the other was dried out like it had been left under the heaters too long. They were in their first week of opening so perhaps they were ironing out the details. 🤷‍♀️ Wine was good. Ambiance ok, but we were frozen where we were seated. Glad we tried it, but wouldn’t return as there are much better Italian restaurants in Montreal.

A spot that feels like home with great food, a welcoming environment and good vibes! The food and portions were phenomenal especially the spaghetti fries (they are a must try)!! The service was excellent from start to finish with extra care toward our choice of wine, a complementary taste of dessert and appearances from the owners who were present and ensuring everyone was satisfied and taken care of. It’s rare to try a new restaurant and it feel like it’s been there forever but Figata did that for me. They knew what they were doing in all aspects and successfully created an environment that I’m eager to return to.
