I left. When you ask about the Pork ribs and the answer is 4 pieces and no side for 26$. Sorry Baton Rouge comes better with the same price point. The drinks are way overpriced. For a glass full of ice that cost 40$ for 2 margaritas which I did buy. Went to birdhouse instead got a pitcher of sangria for 35$ and buttermilk chicken with sides for 23$. Not worth the money they asking for.

Hi Chico, thanks for the feedback! Our pork ribs are 5 large pieces for $26.95 :) our Margaritas are $14.95 (premium Tequila. Fresh lime juice, and real agave). Our pitcher of Sangria is the same price as BH, and our wings are $13.95. For the full menu prices you can refer to Escondite.ca 🤓

What a night at Escondite on Sources! I took 23 members of my Meetup group there for Cinco de Mayo. First time for most of us. Owner Sam made booking our large group seamless and was so helpful. We did the set tapas menu and I was blown away — every dish came out hot, delicious, and full of flavour. Our waitress was an absolute sweetheart who made sure we had everything we needed. I wish I’d gotten her name! And here’s the kicker: we could actually hear each other talk. That’s rare for Mexican on a busy night. We’ll be back for sure to explore the à la carte menu. Bravo to Sam and the team — thank you for a memorable Cinco de Mayo!

Went with large group. Staff wasn't equipped to handle this. Had a group menu that was like orderves over 2 hrs. First and last time there

Truly the most authentic Mexican food with a twist on the West Island! The tacos Birria are the best we've ever had, and the mushroom quesadilla is phenomenal! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Escondite to anyone!!!

Great Mexican fusion restaurant! Choice are great and diverse. Service was a little slow, maybe they had some new staff in training.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! We ordered the tasting menu which was 45$ per person and all of the food was fantastic. So many delicious things to try, so much food and everything was so fresh and wonderful. Will definitely go back. The staff was lovely as well!

Food was really good we ended up there for a kids birthday party and the kids eat free on Sunday which was a welcomed treat and they all loved the food as much as the adults. Service was excellent and the food is a Mexican fusion which was full of flavor. We had the ceviche and the tuna delicious. We finished with three varieties of tacos the birria (lamb) was unique and delicious the steak tacos were great. We will definitely be back without the kids this time as their cocktails looked amazing.

3rd Escondite location that I visit and the food and service were excellent. You should consider getting a reservation to come on weekends or busier nights. We were part of a group reservation and had a tasting menu that included Mango salad, corn bread, chicken General Chapo style, quesadillas, chicken and fish Tacos and churros for dessert. All were delicious. Our server, Olivia, was very attentive and helpful, just a pleasure to deal with.

Our waiter was really nice and tried his best, but was alone to seat people, take orders, bring food, make drinks and bus tables. Management should be ashamed for scheduling a single person to cover an entire front of house.

Several dishes were ordered to share among our group as recommended by our server. All dishes were delicious 😋 The service was exceptional. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable about the different dishes.

Just left Escondite first time getting a takeout order starving with starving gf waiting at home… I have to say — the moment I walked in, amazing staff, clean, inviting, family friendly, and positive energy. However, * SOPHIA * completely set the bar a notch higher making this an outstanding experience. (I’m still hungry btw) She greeted me with genuine care, compassion, was extremely professional, and knew the entire menu inside-out (she even suggested the perfect pairings and explained every detail with authenticity). She represented Escondite as a brand so beautifully that I actually felt compelled to leave this review before I get on the road. Trusted her with my choices lol. People like Sophia (are rare lately) the example of hope and kindness above everything else. 5-star reviews before you eat; I’m sure are rare too. She’s not just good at her job — she’s the kind of hostess every restaurant owner wishes they had on their team. Management, if you’re reading this: do whatever it takes to keep her happy and valued. (I’d say bonus) but value is more appropriate ✅ Thank you :)

Amazing tacos and very friendly service by Anna the bartender as well as the waitstaff Olivia and Sophia. Tried the camarones and Mr. Mole Tacos recommended by Anna the first time I visited, which were both equally great. Definitely recommend and on my list to visit again when in the area!

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this restaurant. Everything was amazing.The El General Chapo and the tacos al pastor… HOLY GUACAMOLE 🤩🤤 next-level flavor. Fresh, bold, and perfectly done. One of those places you keep thinking about after you leave. 100% coming back.

The food is great and the atmosphere is nice. I thought the music was a bit loud, and there were a lot of us in the restaurant, so we had to talk very loudly, but that's just my personal preference. The service, unfortunately, was very disappointing. Our food came out pretty slowly. It took quite a while to get our drinks (after the first course), and the waitresses got our orders mixed up. I'm not sure if it was just a bad night, but... Hopefully they'll improve their service next time.

Food was mediocre, service was terrible. Took 20 minutes for the server to take down our order and took half an hour to receive our food. Cocktails are overpriced for what it is, more than half my glass was just ice. Will never be going here again.
