Overall, I had a good and relaxing stay at Escale au lac. The place is beautiful, calm, and surrounded by nature, with a pleasant, well-maintained forest road that is easily accessible and leads to the reception. The loft was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped. I arrived a few hours before check-in and was informed of a $30 early arrival fee, so I returned at the official time. The spa water had an orange tint due to iron, which was explained as tested and safe. During the first evening, I was reminded early on to turn off the fire to save propane, which felt more focused on economy than guest comfort. The sauna is guest-managed, but during my third reserved hour it was completely cold and difficult to manage for me, so I stopped using it. I also noticed the reservation magnets had been moved. Breakfast was okay but limited. Despite these points, the setting itself is lovely and very peaceful.
