I went there twice! Once by myself and another with my colleagues for our Christmas dinner. And let me tell you how big are the plates!!! We ordered about one plate/2 people, and it was more than enough. Their proportions are generous and very tasty. I highly recommend filet mignon kebab and the lambs. It’s also BYOW (bring your own wine) and it was perfect. The room is well decorated and elegant which makes the atmosphere so nice and happy. The service was impeccable. The staff were always with a big smile and always ready to make the customers happy. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Had a great time on Valentine’s Day there and food was amazing. Service was very courteous.
Very good dîner at Diba Restaurant with family and friends 👍🏻
My favorite Iranian restaurant in Montreal! Amazing authentic taste and such a warm, lovely atmosphere 👌
Took the royal platter. Good, generous amount of meat. But I thought WAY too much rice and not enough vegetables. Don't know if it's a cultural tradition but it's just way too much and those on a restricted carbs diet would really appreciate more veggies. The Tiramisu for my friend's birthday was appreciated 👍I'd probably opt more for appetizers only next time as they seem quite interesting - the aubergines was fancy.
Nice atmosphere and good service! Quiet and clean! friendly and polite! The food is well-tasted and of good quality (everything is very fresh and well-cooked)! The portion is good for one! Just a little overpriced in comparison with other Persian restaurants
This was my second time trying Diba, about six months after my first visit. The quality of the food has become even better, and the atmosphere is still great with amazing staff. I hope you always maintain this level of quality and professionalism. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys high-quality food and a stylish ambiance. Wishing you continued success!
We had made a reservation a week in advance, but unfortunately it was forgotten, and we had to wait about 30 minutes when we arrived. The service and staff behavior were unprofessional and extremely poor. The food was cold and the quality was very average. We had brought our own wine, and unfortunately, our bottle was taken from the table without asking, even though it was still half full.
I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times, and unfortunately the experience has been consistently disappointing. The service is poor you don’t feel welcomed or treated with basic respect. On three out of four visits, they did not have barg or kabab torsh, which are essential dishes in a Persian restaurant. When I raised that this should have been communicated at the time of reservation, the response was dismissive, they said oh we might have one for you ??!! Service overall is disorganized and inattentive. Water is brought in a jar, but no one ever fills or refills your glass. Dirty dishes sit on the table for far too long. Main courses are served while you’re still eating your appetizers, making the entire meal feel rushed. On one occasion, we were even asked to leave before our reserved time was over because they needed to prepare for a large group completely unacceptable. The list goes on. Sadly, this is not the level of hospitality one expects from a Persian restaurant, known for warmth and generosity. It’s unfortunate, because my very first visit after opening was acceptable, but every visit since has been consistently below standard. The overwhelmingly positive reviews are hard to reconcile with this experience; they feel either incentivized or written under pressure while dining which happened on our first experience. Very disappointing.
They did not let us in, Cause I did not call to reserve a table! And almost 1/4 of the restaurant was empty!
Best persian restaurant in town! Always great quality and service
I would give the food 4 stars but I found hair in my rice. That’s unacceptable for food service.
Great place for authentic Persian food! The dishes were flavorful, fresh, and reminded me of homemade Iranian meals. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. Definitely a nice spot if you’re craving delicious Persian cuisine.
Food quality was just okay and the service was slow despite the restaurant being quiet. The most unprofessional part was the payment process. They charged us the wrong amount multiple times, canceled payments by mistake, and even ran after our car asking us to pay again “just in case.” We ended up being charged twice, and it took two weeks to get a refund. Even then, the final amount was still incorrect.it was disappointing that the payment should get that complicated and you charged customer multiple and it is again them to come back for refund with no apology at all!!!
Very bad experience. They brought “welcome bread” to our table without asking and later charged us for it. That already felt misleading. The real problem happened when paying the bill. My original bill was about $97. After I paid, they came back saying they made a mistake and charged me again ($105). Then they came back again and charged another amount ($102), saying the previous transactions would be canceled. Those transactions were never canceled. I had to spend almost two weeks following up with them to fix the issue. In the end they canceled two charges, but the total amount processed was still more than our actual bill. This level of billing confusion is unacceptable. Be careful when paying here.
I went there all the way from Boucherville for their shishlik and I did not regret it. The place is beautiful and very clean. The high ceiling makes it feel both fancy and cozy. I would definitely go back if they keep the same great service. 😉
Modern, beautifully designed Persian restaurant with tall ceilings and great service. The Torsh Kabab is the best in Montreal, hands down. A great touch is that the rice is served individually with TahDig (crispy rice). The Barg and Kubideh were also very good. The freshly baked Iranian Taftoon bread that is served with cheese, walnuts and herbs is another huge plus. Overall, a stylish spot with authentic flavors and a great dining experience.
I recently visited Restaurant Diba with my customers. It is a beautiful place with modern décor and tasteful ethnic influences. The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming. The Iranian food is very good, and the dishes are nicely presented. It’s also a bring-your-own-wine establishment, which is a nice option. However, the service needs significant improvement. The staff requires more intensive training, as they unfortunately do not pay sufficient attention to customers or order details. In the restaurant business, professional service is extremely important. It is not pleasant to sit at the table with empty or dirty dishes left uncleared for an extended time. With better service, this restaurant could offer a truly excellent dining experience.
A beautiful place, excellent rice, and fresh bread, and perfect welcoming , but the koobideh can be better Also, the chairs is a little bit uncomfortable
Ordered take out! Exceptional food & service. Authentic, tasty & great portions.next time for sure to eat in as it seems like a wonderful, warm & welcoming ambience. Kind & lovely service.
one of the best persian restaurants I’ve been to in MTL
Here’s a polished, warm 5-star review you can post as-is 🌟 (enthusiastic, classy, and heartfelt—perfect for a birthday dinner) ⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We went to Diba for the first time to celebrate my dad’s birthday, and it was an absolutely perfect experience. The food was outstanding—authentic, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm, elegant, and welcoming, making it a wonderful place for a special family celebration. Most importantly, the service was exceptional. Kousha took such great care of us—professional, attentive, and genuinely kind. He truly made our evening even more special. We highly recommend Diba and will definitely be back!
Hi I went today , the restaurant decoration is nice cozy I do appreciate but I don’t like the kabab personally because it taste too much like lamb I am not used to this taste I wished they had not with lamb taste because I am born in Canada not born in Iran I am not used to this taste . But I know majority of iranien don’t mind of it and actually love it . Also, the chicken with bone was delicious I love it and recommend and the bread with the cream cheese was good . I remove points because no soupe or salade like other irannien restaurant that in included you had to pay for it , and the tea usually is free the was no price for the tea in the menu 3$ is alot . Also , the server should let us know in advance if we take another bread it will charge us in advance we should have let know . But overall it can get better there is potential…
We had a great experience at this Iranian restaurant. The food quality was excellent, with authentic flavors and a very pleasant atmosphere. The professional management and warm hospitality of Mr. Kasra and Kiarash are truly commendable and make customers feel welcome. Special thanks to Somayeh, our waitress, for her fast, attentive, and friendly service. We will definitely come back and highly recommend this restaurant to others.
