I came here for brunch on Easter Sunday. We had reservations and our table was ready for us when we got there. It was a table d'hôte with a set price. The portions weren't very big but for the low price it was ok. I did find that the omelette was extremely salty. The concensus at our table was that it was ok, but nothing exceptional. The service was a bit slow at moments, they apologized for it. The place wasn't very packed, there were open tables so it wasn't a full service. I might give this place another try for supper, or try another location one day but it's not at the top of my list of recommendations.

Our waitress was very good and the one star is for management, we did have a good time and I would have given her 5 star but when we arrived a 19h20 and walked out at nearly 22h00 cause they forgot our main courses I find it very ordinary that not gesture was made on a 273 $ bill . A meal for 2 adults and 2 young kids that were supposed to be in bed by 21h30 should have never be taking so long , yes the waitress did offer a dessert on the house but coming to 22h o'clock we surely didn't have time for one as the kids had to go to bed. Even the one glass of milk for the kid was charged . It's a shame because food was very good but I think the fact that we were very relaxed about the forgotten main courses did allow the management to think that there was no more need for a gesture as we said no to the dessert but they should have read between the lines that with kids in a young age we just wanted to go home . You definitely lost us as customers, its a shame cause we used to come often to this place before the flood and we just decided to come back after noticing you reopened but I guess you don't need returning customers. As I said a gesture would have been nice ....one glass of milk at least wouldn't have hurt you .

We celebrated my moms 50th birthday. We were 15 in a private room. The service was amazing, the food was great. Theres parking, the prices are fair, the cocktails were good. If you have a group celebration dont look further this is the perfect spot!

Truly enjoyed our first experience at Lionel! The food was excellent and the service was quick! The atmosphere in the restaurant was warm and welcoming! Very nice vibe! Will definitely go back!

The waitress mixed the orders. I was not able to have my order before the others finished. Food was not good either. It's a shame. If one specializes in food, it has to be good, otherwise they will close business shortly.

Two words for this place, JUST WOW! Our first time here. Loved the ambiance, the food and the service by Juliette was totally awesome. She was super attentive, very helpful and polite. We will definitely be coming back again and again. There are not many places that give this kind of service anymore. And the cocktails and dessert were also very good. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thank you, you made my bday celebration even better.

We went for Feb 13 to celebrate Valentine’s, for a set menu the service took a bit too long, the restaurant was busy but not to the point the food was coming late. The server was super polite and professional. The price was high for the quality/portion.

The food was excellent — truly A+. Unfortunately, the kitchen was very slow and brought our main course before the appetizer, which was disappointing. It was a Valentine’s Day menu, and while they offered complimentary additional wine and shooters to make up for the delay, the extra wine was appreciated, but the shooters didn’t really fit the atmosphere. Our waitress was very kind and apologetic, which we genuinely appreciated. The décor, however, was just okay — a bit on the cheaper side for the occasion. Overall, the experience felt expensive at $255 plus tip for two people, especially considering the service timing issues.

Excellent cafe. One of the nicest ones I’ve been to in the last few years in the greater Montreal area. The food is terrific and the service is excellent. It’s a little loud in there due to the music which for some reason they don’t want to turn down. We will definitely keep going back.

My son and I stayed at the adjoining Holiday Inn and tried out this resto. (It was so good that I came back the following evening!) Very nice bar and seating areas. Excellent French cuisine with some Quebecois twists. Good wine list as well. The staff were friendly and courteous. They even offered to seat a large group at short notice on a Sat night. Thanks to the whole team, but especially Amy at the front and our server, Megane.

I recently dined at CHEZ LIONEL and had an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. AMY the manager , in particular, was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect, offering insightful recommendations for both food and drinks. The ambience was truly delightful – the decor was charming, and the lighting created a cozy yet vibrant setting that made our meal feel special. The food was phenomenal; each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. It’s clear that attention to detail is a priority for the entire staff. What stood out the most was the hospitality shown by AMY and her team. They were attentive without being intrusive, and their genuine care for our experience made us feel valued as guests. I couldn't have asked for a better evening out! I highly recommend CHEZ LIONEL LAVAL to anyone looking for fantastic food and an unforgettable dining experience. I was at this restaurant for brunch, and it was amazing! I had the apple french toast which was very good. The service was fast and all in all was a very good restaurant.
