Food is very good
Reviews / Ratings for Chez Chili
I really like this place, always excellent food ✨
Amazing food, great and very fast service. We had a few food allergies/ strong dislikes in our group and we were accommodated above and beyond. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely fantastic experience at Chez Chili . The food is authentic, flavorful, and perfectly spiced — every dish we tried was fresh and packed with taste. The service was friendly and efficient, and the casual atmosphere makes it a great spot for both a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner with friends. Portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re looking for real Chinese cuisine with bold flavors in Chinatown, Chez Chili is definitely a must-try. I’ll be coming back for sure!
BEWARE: TERRIBLE SERVICE AND VERY RUDE STAFF! STAY AWAY IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE RIDICULED.In my experience, the server was greedy for tips and did not care at all about customer experience or basic human respect. Secondly, he did not honor the offer that was very boldly advertised on every table. Here’s the story: I went in today, few hours before a flight to grab a take-away box of noodles. As I was already sitting at a table waiting for food, i changed my mind and decided to eat some of it on the premises while they were still hot before being exposed to the freezing cold outside. So I asked for a fork to which the medium height server with medium length blond-ish hair said he already put one in the bag. As I was opening the bag, he asked if I was gonna eat there. I responded that I will eat some there and take the rest away and asked if that was okay. He said ‘not really because you ordered take-away’ so I asked if the prices were different to which he said no. Then he went on to say ‘now you must clean all the table once you’re done, I will give you the cloth’.I always clean the table after me and gather all plates so this wasn’t something I wouldn’t have done anyway but this verbalization from the server was unexpected and rude. I did not engage further and started eating my food. Then I saw a placard on the table saying that if you post a photo of the food on Google, the restaurant will provide a free coke. So I thought there is still a chance for this restaurant to redeem itself and posted a photo. Then I showed the server the post and asked for a Coke Zero. He said it’s only for dine-in.I wasn’t sure why he was insistent on me being a takeaway customer other than the fact that he wanted to be tipped. Even though technically I was dining in, just out of a take away box instead of serving plates which is significantly less work for a server. So I responded that the advertisement doesn’t specify anything as to the nature of transaction to which he said I am not going to give it to you so you don’t have to post it.After this encounter, I ate half the box, packed the rest and did not clean the table of my payment receipt and any food pieces thinking that if they do not want to serve me and comply with their advertised offers, I had no compulsion to clean any tables which is not a customers job anyway and only a good social practice.Once he saw me packing away, he signaled at me with his hand to stop but I did not and proceeded to climb the stairs out- at this point he collected the items from my table and threw them at me. I did not look back and continued to walk away to proceed with my day!Such pathetic server attitude brings a bad name to professional servers who actually ensure a good customer experience and are worthy of tips.
Authentic Szechuan cuisine. Prepare for super spicy food!
Yummy and fast service
Well seasoned pork chops, steamed fished was delightful, always go for the green beans.

Food was great although line was super long
Great food, eggplant and salt and pepper are always table favorites!
Great place for Sczhwan in Chinatown Montréal.
so far the best chinese food i've had in Montreal, and i'm very picky
Excellent !
Awesome foods and services!
Best Chinese food I have had, definitely a must-visit when visitng Montreal's Chinatown
Best dishes are the more authentic dishes!
Food portion and quality was great! General Tao and Salt & Pepper shrimp+Squid were excellent. Both meals came w/a spoon & the table had chopsticks already. Service could be improved simply because we weren't asked if we needed anything when the meal came (more napkins or hot sauce). Ambiance could be better if they had music playing and as always, bathrooms could be cleaned much more often. Final note: if you run cold, don't sit in line w/the door during winter. It's just magnetic flaps after you enter the main door. So there was a heavy draft.
We ordered a glass noodle and beef. We're very good! Nice staff.
Amazing Asian flavors! Everything was delicious, rich in taste and perfectly seasoned. Great quality food and a place we’ll gladly return to.
Overall great Chinese food - some of the best I have ever had. We ordered a few plates to share - General Tao's Chicken, Beef and Brocolli, Spicy Chicken, Vegetable Noodles, and Vegetable Fried Rice. The only issue was that the spicy chicken was not at all spicy. It had chili peppers served with the dish, but the chicken itself was not spicy.
