Wife ordered the Bavette and I had the Filet both grilled perfectly 👌. Louis and Carolyn were exceptionally professional and served our food pretty quick and there was a couple dozen already seated ahead of us..the food was a perfect portion, well balanced flavours and textures. The mashed potatoes were really really good...I mean reaaaallly good. And the pepper bourbon sauce 😋 👌 Bravo Zulu to the chef and staff.

I ordered the filled minion and the wife a baguette.. Louis and Caroline our servers were absolutely fantastic. I wanted rare medium rare and got exactly that. Hard to do right but the chef nailed it hard. The creamed parsnips were amazing. The potatoes perfect. Money well spent at a place that earns your loyalty......and hunger. This place is absolutely the best steak house in town. Charbon makes that Steak Avenue place look and feel like McDonald's playhouse. Carbon has class, elegance and refinement. Top notch first class. Merci.

Giving the food 2 stars, it's really not great - ate here twice before train departures and both meals were extremely underwhelming to our party of 3, we each chose something different both times. The burger is decent.

1st time Recommended by hotel des coutellier Reservations booked by hotel Great French onion soup Great ambiance and decor Filet and new York strip cooked as requested... Delicious Loaded baked potatoe fantastic Queen Elizabeth cake for dessert .... Absolutely phenomenal!! Pricey but worth it Best part of meal was service by Julie bussiere ... Warm Friendly Courteous Professional Efficient Unobtrusive Absolutely exceptional.... Kudos to owner for having her on staff

Probably the best steak house in quebec city. Delicious appetizers, we tried the beef & salmon tartare, caesar salad, scallops, shrimp cocktail, and escargot, all were excellent. Best roast beef I've ever had, seasoned and cooked to perfection. Our server Julie was excellent!

It wasn't terrible, which isn't the response I thought I should have after eating 80 dollar steak. The sides were delicious and the atmosphere and smells were good but I would rush back for another steak.

We arrived at this charming restaurant right next to the VIA train station at 1:45 PM, just 15 minutes before the kitchen closed at 2 PM. Despite the late hour, the staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, warmly welcoming us and reminding us of the limited time to order. We opted for the steak and salad, and every dish exceeded expectations. The cauliflower soup was creamy and bursting with flavor, while the steak was cooked to perfection as requested, accompanied by a richly flavored sauce. The fries and potatoes were delightful, and the salad was elevated by its excellent dressing. Even the pork was impeccably cooked. What truly stood out was the staff’s exceptional hospitality, they were so friendly and understanding of our train schedule, making us feel right at home. I particularly want to express my gratitude to the female staff member who assisted us; her kindness and efficiency were invaluable, and I regret not asking for her name. Nice spot with available parking, charming ambiance. The calamari i would not recommend at all, but the complimentary bread and butter was really good; better than at most restaurants. I had the NY and my girl got the boston and the steaks were cooked perfectly, the fries are really good as well. The bearnaise butter i ordered with the steak was alright but the server offered to bring us a small cup of gravy and it was this really nice mildly sweet gravy that went much better with the steak.

Are really nice night out. Great service with a team who understand gluten free and what is GF on offer on the menu. Food was delicious and will definately be back when in town.
