We arrived at Carlos & Pepe’s at 7:00 PM with a group of 8 people. After waiting 1 hour and 24 minutes, we were informed that the chef had quit and our food had not even been started. There were only two staff members trying to manage the entire restaurant — serving tables and attempting to cook at the same time. We truly felt sorry for them, as they were clearly overwhelmed and placed in an impossible situation. What made this even more frustrating is that no one came to update us. Only after over 1 hour and 15 minutes, when we specifically asked what was happening, were we finally told about the situation. This is not the level of service you expect from a well-known franchise. Management and ownership at this location need to do much better — both in communication and in ensuring adequate staffing so customers and employees are not put in these situations.

Pls don’t even bother to go, it’s an insult to Mexican food this place… tortilla soup taste horrible, tacos are beyond disgusting. They don’t even have salsa. They put a purple think as a salad next to the tacos.

This place was one of my favorite for margaritas and nachos. So bad I came to visit this time and I knew directly that there are changes in this place The barman changed and the margaritas is not the same at all!! Don't know what happen with the service. We arrived and no one was there to welcome us and to show us a place We waited 10 minutes and went to the bar to ask. The waiter was sitting at the bar! And when at the table the service was so bad bad. I'm really disappointed 😞

I haven't had great service in a few Restaurants in the past year however I was pleasantly & extremely surprised of The service we received tonight! A group of 20 and thanks to beautiful Zaneba everyone enjoyed the excellent food, her patience, helpful and accurate service not to mention always with a beaming smile! Nick the manager was also very professional and helpful! Thank you!

One of the best places I went! Was there with family's for my cousin's birthday and the food was delicious and the service was excellent! Definitely recommend and will go back for sure! 👌🏼

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserves it. My girlfriend and I booked a reservation at Carlos & Pepe’s on Halloween night. The site literally said there were a few time slots left and to hurry up, so we did. We get there, it’s pretty empty, but we wait in the car for our reservation time anyway. When we go in, a staff member at the bar (like 30 feet away) just yells, “We’re closed, kitchen’s closed,” and waves us off. No one even comes up to the front, no apology, nothing. Meanwhile, we actually had a confirmed reservation. If you’re closed on Halloween, fine — but then don’t let people book a table. It’s ridiculous to show “7 time slots left” if you’re not even open. And to not even take two seconds to come over and explain or apologize just made it worse. Really disappointing. The least that could’ve been done was some communication or basic courtesy
