One of the worst experiences I’ve had at a Boston Pizza. We came as a group of 18 for a farewell get-together on a Wednesday at 11:30 AM, specifically to avoid the lunch rush. The person organizing it had also called multiple times beforehand to ensure the restaurant could reserve and prepare space for us, yet when we arrived, they were clearly not ready. There appeared to be only one server handling everything. We understand staffing shortages happen — many of us have worked in restaurants ourselves — but the biggest issue was the lack of communication and attitude. A simple apology or heads-up about delays would have made a difference, but there was none. Water took around 45 minutes to arrive, and even then not everyone was served. Food only started coming around 1:00 PM, and several orders were incomplete or missing ingredients. Pizzas came without the proper sauces, sandwiches and fries were cold, and one colleague’s plain salad arrived close to 1:30 PM. Some people never even received their full order. To make things worse, when someone asked about the extra-paid pizza sauce, they were given plain Frank’s hot sauce and told that was it. Cold food, missing items, extremely long delays, and poor service from start to finish. I’ve been to many Boston Pizza locations before and never experienced anything like this. Management seriously needs to improve this location.
