Staff in the beginning was very kind and understanding, until all my friends came and had a few questions about the menu. Some were asking if they could share the meal and split the bill with each other due to not having as much of an appetite. Server became irritated, because I guess she couldn’t understand what we meant and brought the manager whom was very passive aggressive towards me, while explaining why it’s easier if we all order the omakase— which was very much not needed…. And to add, that wasn’t really the question my friends had to begin with. But we all understood what she meant when the waiter explain the first time she explained and didn’t even ask for the manager at all! At the end, I had brought cake, and in the omakase description it said it included dessert of the hour, didn’t think it included the cake I paid for myself from a bakery though. When it came down to paying, server got mad for some people not being able to tip which is an optional thing by the way!! Overall, the food was okay, it wasn’t that much different from any other sushi spot in Montreal but the drinks were very unique and tasty.
