Blaxton was...ok. Smoked meat seems to be their "thing", so despite not being in Montreal, I tried it. The jumbo sandwich had a generous roll of it, but it was just average smoked meat, no fat, definitely a product. The bread was meh, the quarter pickle spear was tiny, and the coleslaw tasted like grocery store slaw. The fries were fries. Still, let's face it, an average smoked meat sandwich is still going to hit the spot, but at $28, it hit the wallet a bit harder than it needed to. Our server was a sweetheart, and hilarious, and the general vibe was good. They had a selection of NA beers, which was nice, so I wouldn't say don't eat there, but there are far better places in this city, so unless you're in Lévis for an extended trip, I wouldn't go out of my way.
What guests say about Blaxton St-Romuald
Restaurant appreciated for its sports-themed, festive atmosphere, often seen as a pleasant place to watch games or get together with friends. The service is often described as courteous, quick, and attentive, but some visits had long waits and uneven service. The food receives several positive comments, especially the burgers and certain dishes, but some customers find the portions, cooking, or value for money disappointing. Noise and loud music also come up often as negatives.

Had supper there Sept 11, 2026, the food was great but the service was awful. We had to get our own napkins and cutlery ( literally had to reach over the bar), none were provided. Staff were doing shooters at the bar with a coworker that was there with I'm assuming friends. There was a table of either friends or coworkers next to us that seemed to also draw alot of attention from the staff. No one checked to see how our meal was or offered to get us more drinks. It took over 45 minutes to get our plates cleared and get a bill, and it wasn't busy.
Excellent smoke meat
Great atmosphere and very good service. Waiter and head waiter came several time to make sure all was good. The fish and chip was good but the burger meat not that great. I didn’t mention anything because everyone was so nice and I didn’t want to spoil the ambiance. The presentations of the food were very good! Overall, I will go back!!!
Our evening got off to a disappointing start when our server informed us that the only cider listed on the drink menu was unavailable because it was on back order. However, we would recommend the Chic-shake. We started with the calamari, which is our go-to appetizer whenever it’s on the menu. Unfortunately, this was some of the smallest calamari we’ve ever been served. The rings were tiny—most no larger than a nickel. The highlight of the dish was the tequila sour cream, which helped balance the greasiness. Next came the Margherita pizza. We had to send it back because the dough was still raw in the centre. While the tomato sauce had great flavour, the replacement pizza was only slightly better. It seemed as though the oven wasn’t hot enough. Despite being a thin-crust pizza, it lacked any crispness and was barely browned. The standout of the meal was the Blaxton Burger. The Angus beef patty was cooked perfectly and topped with bacon, tomato, and lettuce, making it easily the best item we ordered. To the restaurant’s credit, the service was friendly and professional. We weren’t charged for the pizza, and the staff later explained they had been experiencing problems with their oven. That gesture was appreciated, but the overall dining experience still fell well short of expectations.
Lovely ambiance, and provided services in English! Thank you!
