Good clean little hotel staff is friendly
Reviews / Ratings for Best Western Laval-Montreal
We were in room 201. The window faced the interior atrium and is right above the breakfast area; while hockey parents partied until late in the night, or during busy breakfast times we could hear everything, enough to interrupt sleep. The room was very clean and beds comfortable enough, however it was very dark and claustrophobic. We requested another room, but we were told there were no other options that had two separate beds. The shower had inconsistent water temperature, going from extreme cold to hot (enough to burn someone). Breakfast was good. Staff was exceptional. Location is good. All in all, for the price I would not stay in this particular room again.
We were on our way to Montreal and arrived in Laval pretty late. We needed a place to stay on short notice, and the Best Western was the perfect choice. The lady at the front desk was a total sweetheart, super welcoming and made the check-in process feel effortless. She had a great vibe and explained everything perfectly. The rooms are modern and the beds are huge: we honestly slept like babies, which was a surprise given how close the hotel is to the highway (it’s actually very quiet!). Having breakfast included was the cherry on top. Great value and a really nice stay. I definitely recommend this Place to anyon traveling trough
Went to meet a friend, did not reide in.
Maybe it's because there is a team staying together on that day, and it's a little noisy. But in general, the hotel is not bad. The breakfast is also very good, and the staff service is also good. It would be better if the sound insulation was better.
I stayed at the Best Western in Laval for three nights and booked three rooms for myself and coworkers. Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by a serious safety issue and disappointing customer service. On the very first day, I slipped and fell in the bathtub of my room. The tub slopes steeply downward toward the drain and is missing one of the traction strips, making it extremely slippery and unsafe, especially when wet. I fell hard and landed on the edge of the tub, injuring my lower back and tailbone. The pain was significant and has continued to affect me even after leaving the hotel. I reported the issue to the front desk three separate times before I finally received a call from the desk manager. I invited her to come see the tub in person, which she did. She acknowledged the missing traction strip and told me she would escalate the issue to the general manager. What happened next left me shocked and deeply upset. The same desk manager called me back later and, in a very confrontational and dismissive tone, told me that unless I could provide a photo of the bruise on my buttocks, they couldn’t take any further action. She stated that “anybody could say they fell” and implied that without proof, my report wasn’t credible. Additionally she added that those traction slips were only there for, and I quote, “old people”. I was stunned, not only was this humiliating, but I felt like I was being treated with suspicion and contempt for reporting something that could pose a risk to any guest. As someone who simply wanted to prevent others from getting hurt the way I did, I felt completely invalidated and disrespected. There was no empathy, no concern for my well-being, and certainly no apology unless I was willing to “prove” my injury in an invasive and inappropriate way. I never expected to be asked to expose myself just to be believed. This isn’t how a guest should be treated, especially not after suffering an injury due to a preventable hazard in the room. I hope management takes this seriously and corrects the issue with the tubs before someone else gets hurt even worse. Until then, I unfortunately cannot recommend this location, neither for the safety standards nor the way they handle concerns from paying guests. Edit to add: I never asked for a free night stay and the manager is pointing it out in his reply. He handled the matter very poorly and I saw other reviews about him personally that are extremely disappointing.
Great place to stay. Close to the airport. Great breakfast area. Friendly front end staff.
My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The room was not properly cleaned, with dust on the furniture and stains on the bedsheets. The bathroom smelled bad and the water pressure was terrible. The walls were so thin that I could hear noise from the hallway and other rooms all night, making it impossible to sleep. The photos online were completely misleading compared to what we actually got. Even the basic amenities were poorly maintained, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping when we reported the issues. For the price we paid, the overall experience was unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort or quality.
Good location, clean place
Usually, i used to enjoy my journey but last time the room has strong humidity smell and the breakfast was really poor compared to before !
- Supplies are not refilled (no tissue, One pack of coffee condiments. - Bathtub had hair innthe drain and the anti slip strip at the bottom of the tub were dirty. Image of the room during my book as different than the one I received. - Toilet is is peeling and the plastic is getting into my leg. - Breakfast food at 0900am on weekend was cold (scramble eggs and sausage) At 28000 point for one night is robbery. This is not my first bad experience with this hotel, but this is my last. I wouldn't recommend to stay there
