My family and I truly enjoyed dinner. Everyone had a different meal and we all agreed all of the food was delicious. I had the NY Strip, sweet potato fries and Brussel sprouts with walnuts. The other dishes we had were the seafood sandwich with potatoes, the Devil burger and fries, and the shrimp pasta. Everything was so flavorful. The waiter was awesome. He was kind, patient and had a sense of humor. My family and I appreciate these attributes. The atmosphere was lively but calm. The portions were filling. The prices were reasonable. I have added Baton Rouge to my list of restaurants to revisit.

I’m a pretty picky eater, which is one of the reasons I usually prepare my meals at home. That said, when I’m on vacation, I do enjoy stepping out and trying local restaurants and flavors. I chose Baron Rouge because it has an American-style flair that felt familiar. One thing I noticed during my time in Montreal is that many dishes tend to be served more warm than hot—and unfortunately, lukewarm fries are a big miss for me. That said, the service truly stood out. If you visit, I highly recommend asking for Louis. He’s attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely patient in a way that feels sincere, not forced. He really made my experience a positive one.

Visited downtown Montreal for the first time and for a long overdue trip with my husband. Rita was amazing, it was quiet and she was attentive but not over bearing. Food was delicious. Atmosphere was very relaxed. We thoroughly enjoyed!

We visited Baton Rouge last night and we had a very enjoyable experience. BBQ ribs were tender, juicy, and coated in a rich, flavorful BBQ sauce. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting. Our waitress, Rita, was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout the entire visit. She made sure everything was perfect and added a personal touch that made us feel very welcome. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for both the quality of the food and the outstanding service. I will definitely be coming back again!

I have had a bad experience with the food from Baton Rouge before, so my expectations were very low coming in tonight. And let me tell you, this time, everything was exceptional. We had a table of 9 and were greeted by Louis right off the bat - super engaging, super funny, super accommodating. My partner and I decided to grab the truffle mac n cheese entrée, and the short rib seafood pappardelle - and we absolutely devoured it. The time it took for our food to reach the table from when we placed the order was quick - which was a pleasant surprise - and the food came HOT. Huge shout-out to Lany, who was a great presence for helping out Louis with us at our table and for their amazing service and attention to detail. I am so glad I can safely say I will be coming back to this restaurant. I look forward to trying more from the menu.

I had the short rib seafood pappardelle and it was very good. Lots of protein, pasta cooked well and not too salty. Big portion sizes. Stopped there for lunch with 3 young kids on a snow day, week day and the service was excellent and quick.

Terrible service. They serve everything half-portioned and don't pay attention to you, as if we were asking for free food. It seemed like the waiters didn't want to serve us at all... and they take forever to bring our food and then get angry when we ask them. I'm never going back. A very bad experience on Valentine's Day.

I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. We were excited to try for the first time after a show on a Sunday early evening. When we were seated, the restaurant was less than half empty. We sat for about 25 mins without a seeing a single server to take our order. Perhaps this might be understandable, maybe they were shortstaffed, it happens. What is NOT understandable is the employee who sat us came and took the order of the table next to us who was seated 15-20 mins AFTER us, looks at us and says "someone will be with you shortly" as if we hadn't already been waiting for 30 mins... The waiting can be understood but this kind of service is just unpleasant enough that we had to leave and go elsewhere (where by the way, we entered, ordered, ate, and left all less than an hour an a half). Not sure which kinds of guests they prefer to serve but maybe best to avoid going and finding it out isn't you.

Visited on Monday ribs for $25. Customer service was excellent. Food was very good however cole slaw was very bland and ribs had not much sauce. Despite this we really enjoyed dinner. French onion soup and cesar salad were very good. Merci.
