Went during Victoria day. They seemed to have been a staff or two short as they couldn't answer the phone. The phone ai also isn't able to confirm their holiday hours. Nonetheless we arrived and had a great time. The food was quite good and the drinks tasted great. Service and staff was accommodating and was was as good as it can get as the restaurant began to become busier by the hour.
Reviews / Ratings for Barranco
Very nice experience! It was pricy, but the food was amazing. We ordered lomo saltado, yuca, and causa de pulpo. It was all delicious. The corn they served while we waited was incredible, super tasty. For dessert I don't remember the name, but it was pretty much a corn cob shaped chocolate filled with mouse 🤤 To drink we had pisco sour and Barranco tiki and they were both very good (although I personally liked the pisco sour better). Very nice experience overall! We will be back
The food quality was great, but we were a group of 8 and the service was not great, did not bring the foods in time, forgot who ordered what, misplaced orders.. etc.
Great atmosphere, service and food. Ceviche is delicious!
It is good enough food but never blows my mind - maybe I’m expecting too much from ceviche in Canada?
Fantastic food and service
This is an edit to my previous review which was positive except the yuca fries. I change this review based off lack of consistency in the food. The rice was yesterdays rice served on the plate. Not fresh or not properly cooked. For a saturday evening there was a shortage of desserts and as we all know, in the restaurant industry, that saturdays are busy days. So weird that there was no specific desserts for the evening folk, perhaps only for the folks in the later night. You just cant mess up rice in a Peruvian restaurant. Alas, this will be my last visit.
Great service and excellent quality
Nice place to go after work and grab a drink. Their Pisco are really good. The food its good but I recommend theirs tacos/ceviches or lomo saltado (peruvian style beef) . Great service from A to Z. They also have a brunch/ breakfast PIEL CANELA need to try this next!
We had an excellent meal to celebrate a birthday here. Every bite of food was enjoyable - we had the 'terre' and 'mer' lunch specials and they were equally delicious. Service was so welcoming and the food was so good that we had already decided before finishing our meals that we'll be coming back to try more dishes and cocktails. Seeing the reviews saying it can be noisy in the evening we will go again for a late lunch (nice and quiet) or maybe sit on the terrasse in summer if we can get a spot. ¡Gracias!
Pretty cool place with lovely vibes and nice cocktails. A bit on the expensive side, and portion of main could be bigger. Food is good but nothing extraordinary (hence 4 stars) I'd definitely recommend and would come back just for the taquitos :)
The food was good 👍🏻 the vibe as well 🩷
Everything was amazing, from the food to the service!
Food was amazing! We had a really great moment, we come back for sure!
The vibes and atmosphere of this restaurant are immaculate. Unfortunately, me and my group of 3 had to sit at the bar because there was a 2 hr wait when we arrived on Saturday night. It was so noisy, that it was impossible to hear each other across the bar. The drinks were amazing- I had a mock-tail that I really enjoy and my friend loved their cocktails. The food was flavorful, and the dishes were quite unique, however I've had much tastier Peruvian food in places like D.C. I'd come back for the vibes and drinks as a bar-hopping stop, but would honestly try a different option for food.
Excellent experience. The food was delicious and the service impeccable.
Nice food
We sat at the bar and had such a good experience. The vibe of this restaurant was amazing, and the staff were super friendly and helpful the whole time. I would definitely recommend this place!
Exceptional food. Took a variety of tapas and mains, we shared between 6 people. Everything was super tasty.
Awesome interior and awesome food. Just need paper menus.
Abit loud but very nice atmosphere on the dining section
The food was excellent everything we ordered was full of flavor, but the Barranco ceviche really stood out. The chicha morada pisco sour was just as impressive and definitely worth trying. On top of that, the service was fantastic the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
Tasty and nicely prepared food.
Excellent service from beginning to end, staff is very welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing!
Excellent ceviche and pisco sour. Maïté is the hostess with the mostest! I’ll def be back.
