Ambiance and service were both really good.The food however, was SUBPAR.*And I know my peruvian (🇵🇪) food*I included only pictures of what I thought was good: the “pio pio” tacos and the pisco maracuya.The two mains, the “aji de gallina” and the “kam lu wantan,” were just VERY mediocre. For a restaurant of this price ($$$), I am quite dissapointed and expect better ☹️.This review sounds like it was written by a 55 year old woman (I am a 22 year old man🧍♂️), which really says something.This place should just serve tacos, cocktails, and call itself a Mexican restaurant (Barranmexico) 🇲🇽

We expected this place to be good, but it surpassed our expectations. It was our first time here, Valentine's Day dinner, and everything was perfect. The ceviche and limo saltado were amazing, as were the patacones. We tried a few different cocktails, they are a bit pricey but they were all prepared with care and didn't cheap out on the spirits. Our waitress was super attentive, the music was great and the general vibe if the place is just very upbeat and positive. Prices are about what your expect but can ramp up quickly with the drinks. Highly recommend everything we tried here, especially the ceviche clasicó and the lomo saltado.
why did you took off “tofu saltado” of the menu 😢😢😢😢
Service was excellent.. on pointe, friendly and knowledgeable .. food was fresh but very salty.. all of us noticed in three different dishes.. won’t go back unless we hear something has changed..
Anaël and her team were amazing. The food, ambiance, service, decoration, friendliness were 11/10. Will def. come back and recommend 🤩 They treated our celebration so well!

This restaurant has the tastiest food and delicious drinks. The ambiance is perfect, chill music, and nice stylish colorful décor. Food and drink presentation is on point and all staff is very professional and helpful. DO TRY ANY CEVICHE THEY HAVE!! The Nikkei ceviche is on my picture, it was perfect! See you soon Barranco!

***Edit: I emailed them as they mentioned in their reply, sharing screenshots of the message, used another email address as well and STILL no answer. Shame, their food is really good, but constantly getting ignored is not, they need to improve on this! They may have a glitch in one system, but every single platform-impossible! Original review: The food is phenomenal, I only had great experience here! The problem starts when you want to take a bigger group or need to reach them for x and y reason, because that’s now mission impossible. They have a useless automated phone system, for days I tried to reach a human and couldn’t. I messaged them on IG, no answer for the past 2 weeks. Improve on that end because this is a turnoff and if I need to book for a larger group, this place won’t be one of my options sadly!

Barranco MTL is a gem. Shaheen runs the place with real heart and it shows in how smooth and welcoming everything feels. The food is bold, flavorful, and straight up delicious, and the cocktails are on point. The mixologist is clearly having fun while keeping things balanced and thoughtful. One of those spots you leave already thinking about coming back.
We visited on New Year’s Eve to celebrate with family, and while the food was excellent, the service flow that night unfortunately fell short. What truly stood out, however, was the way Shaheen, the director handled the situation. He took full ownership, protected his team, and genuinely focused on making things right. His leadership, transparency, and generosity turned a difficult evening into a moment of respect and trust. With food of this quality and leadership like this, the potential here is undeniable.
We went to eat there on NYE 2025. Online when we booked it said the NYE’s menu would be 80$/person. But, after eating, our bill came to a whopping 135CAD$. We also thought a free glass of champagne would be offered with the NYE menu. So when our waitress asked us when we would like to have it, we agreed to have it around 11:30 pm. When we inquired with the waitress why that was, she said after 8pm the price jumped to 135$ and is no longer 80$ and the champagne was never free. However, no where on their website or the reservation did they mention any of those conditions. The waitress comes back tell us fhe manager agreed to charge us the 80$ menu despite the misunderstanding. She also said she would take our glasses of champagne away. We had offered to keep them and still get charged 80$ + the champagne. But, i don’t if she just chose to ignore us because 10 minutes before MIDNIGHT, she came back and TOOK our glasses of champagne away…?? Not to mention that the food was lacklustre, small portion and mid. I am still in shocked that we got our glasses taken away, i have never experienced such a thing before. The waitress was also very condescending and kept referring to us as “les filles” et “ma belle”. Least to say is i am never going to there again. Its not worth the price and the service is trash. If they advertised 80$/pers online, customers shouldn’t have to pay more because of their inability to manage their website and services. Unfortunately we did not get to cheers before midnight and had to rush out of the restaurant to escape the hostility of the waitress. Worst NYE dinner ever! Happy new year to everyone except that Branco waitress.
Horrible service on New Year’s Eve. They weren’t capable of hold the event and the food was 2h late. We arrived at 8:00pm and currently is 10:17pm and we haven’t eat the main plate. Disrespectful
