We arrived at 8:45 AM, and even though we were seated inside, we still had to wait another full hour just to be served. I ordered a matcha and an iced tea, and both were completely flavorless. When the food finally arrived, we had ordered the Grand Slam. The fried chicken was basically nothing but fried breading with barely any chicken inside and absolutely no flavor. Honestly, considering all the hype surrounding this place, the food was extremely disappointing. The service was painfully slow. The table next to us had children who waited an entire hour just to get pancakes. That is simply unacceptable and ridiculous for a restaurant like this. Overall, a bad experience. The food did not live up to the hype, the drinks were tasteless, and the service was incredibly slow. Definitely not worth the wait, and I will never be coming back.

I usually don’t leave comment but I have to ! Food was absolutely tasty the place was cozy and the server OMG a sweeet guy !! … however … The wait to get in is terrible 😞 we had to wait 30 min + 45 min to get in but was it worth it yes we were alll happy with our food ! 🫶🫶🫶😋 But smtg needs to be done for the wait as we can’t also rush ppl to eat ! Is there a bigger place we can have idk ?

Hi Victoria ! We just expanded from 55-85 seats . We can’t get any bigger . Come on the weekdays the wait willis significantly shorter . Sorry about that

the food was good, and so were the price, but it's been a long time that I wasn't this frustrated by service. Maybe direction demands quick turn around, and so it was to be expected for them to remove our plate barely the last bite taken? Even as the rest of the table wasn't finished? In all cases, it makes for a terrible experience.

I have always loved Arthur’s, and yesterday, October 28, we finally had the opportunity to bring our young son for breakfast as a family. I wanted to take a moment to share the truly incredible experience we had. From the moment we walked in, every staff member who saw us greeted us warmly and made a genuine, personal connection with our son. Two staff members, in particular, went out of their way to get to know him and spoke to him throughout the meal. Of course, the food was, as always, absolutely incredible. But what made yesterday so special went far beyond the food. It completely made our day and became part of one of the best birthdays I could have asked for! Those little moments can mean so much, and your team created exactly that for our family. Thank you and we look forward to coming back time and time again!

I ordered the Grand Slam and it just didn't taste right. I'm not sure if it was undercooked but it was kind of gritty and tasted sort of like chalk. I don't know if they put something in my food or what but I won't be coming back for sure... My waiter actually argued with me table side and got quite upset, which was definitely off putting to say the least. I didn't expect to be chewed out and essentially called a liar when I politely described the problem. In fact I felt like I was kind of being looked down on the whole time I was in there, like I'm some sort of second rate diner.

Wow! It's been a couple years since I've been to Arthurs and if possible, it's even better now than it was then. This is a masterclass in food and hospitality - everything was cooked perfectly and the service was really impressive - remarkable, in fact! I can't think of another restaurant that makes eggs this perfectly - the breakfast sandwich was the best I've ever had, the caremalized banana syrniki pancakes were incredible, and we loved the beef bacon! We loved the chocolate babka, too - my friend said it reminded him of his mother's! We arrived to a nearly full restaurant at 9:15am on a Friday, were seated immediately and didn't have to wait for anything! Given the volume of this restaurant, that's an impressive feat. Our servers were super attentive and really cared about our experience - we had originally ordered one chocolate and one cinnamon babka but when we saw the chocolate one, we regretted getting the cinnamon. Our waiter was too nice about it and made the change without any hesitation. It's no wonder there's a 2h wait on weekends for this gem. Believe the hype.

Arthurs Nosh Bar in Montréal delivers a delicious brunch experience, celebrating Jewish comfort food with a creative, contemporary twist. The atmosphere is lively and inviting, with a charming neighbourhood feel that makes it a lovely spot to gather over good food. Unfortunately, the initial welcome left something to be desired. We were a party of three, and while my two companions were parking the car, I was informed that I couldn't be seated until everyone had arrived and was asked to wait outside. While I understand restaurants have seating policies, the interaction felt unnecessarily rigid and made for a rather cold reception. The service throughout the remainder of our visit was adequate, but a little more warmth and hospitality would have elevated the overall experience. Thankfully, the food was absolutely delicious and more than made up for the less-than-welcoming start. The syrniki, traditional cottage cheese pancakes, were a beautiful indulgence. Golden on the outside, tender and delicate within, they were generously crowned with fresh blueberries and surrounded by maple syrup. The combination of the pancakes' subtle richness, the natural brightness of the berries, and the sweetness of the syrup made for a wonderfully satisfying dish. The latke smorgasbord was equally appealing, offering a delightful assortment of flavours and textures. The soft, creamy scrambled eggs paired beautifully with the delicate salmon gravlax, while the refreshing cucumber salad brought a welcome brightness to the plate. The golden potato latke added a savoury, crispy element, complemented by sour cream, while the soft challah bread rounded out this comforting and thoughtfully composed breakfast. Another variation featured beautifully scrambled eggs accompanied by grilled salami, a crisp potato latke, and challah bread. A hearty, satisfying combination that showcases the restaurant's appreciation for traditional deli-inspired flavours. The scrambled eggs with greens, served alongside toasted bread and a selection of savoury accompaniments, offered another inviting interpretation of a classic breakfast. The contrasting textures and vibrant presentation made it particularly appealing. And then there were the banana matcha drinks, an absolute highlight! Beautifully presented with a delicate layer of foam and a fresh banana garnish, they struck a lovely balance between the earthy, slightly bitter notes of matcha and the natural sweetness of the homemade banana syrup. Smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced, without the sweetness overpowering the matcha. A wonderfully creative combination that I would happily order again. Overall, Arthur's Nosh Bar certainly delivers where it matters most: the food. The quality, generous portions, thoughtful combinations, and beautiful presentation reflect a genuine appreciation for flavour and culinary tradition. While the service, particularly the initial reception, could benefit from a little more warmth and flexibility, the food itself was memorable. A delicious Montréal brunch destination that proves great food can leave a lasting impression, even when the hospitality has room for improvement.

As someone who travels the world and has experienced incredible food at restaurants across many countries, I found this brunch spot to be extremely overrated. The food simply did not live up to the hype or expectations. A friend of mine who works for Michelin had advised me against visiting, and unfortunately, I should have listened to his recommendation. Overall, a disappointing experience, especially considering the reputation this restaurant has built.

Beyond exceptional. Arthur’s Nosh is known to be a must go in the city of Montreal and for good reason. It is not the easiest place to get into as they shy away from reservations due to the sheer popularity. Thankfully, the restaurant just renovated and doubled its indoor seating capacity which greatly helps with wait times. The place itself is very clean and showcases a beautiful depiction of modern and traditional design. The food is unbelievably good. I took The Grand Slam which was not only one of their most expensive items, but was also extremely rich and delicious. Maybe a tiny bit too much batter on the chicken if I had to nitpick. Other than that, the service was excellent and the staff was very accommodating for a group of 10 people coming in without a reservation. Expect a long wait time but for once, the hype is worth the wait!

I fear the reviews are in fact correct about Arthurs Nosh Bar. Came in on a Sunday morning prepared to wait for a while. I get there and there is a line of about 10 people ahead of us. We get to the front and ask if there was a wait for 2 people. Since we weren't picky, we were opened to eating on the high table; that meant 0 wait. We were greeted by our waitress (who's name I forgot). Nonetheless, despite it being a busy Sunday, she showed complete calmness. It being our first time there we leaned on her to provide us the top faves. We ended up getting an order of Syrniki, Latke smorgasbord and the Moroccan toast (?). 10/10 flavors all around. I consider myself to be a pancake snob....what are they putting in those Syrniki? They're so good! All of our dishes were amazing! Flavors were great, the pricing was also good and we left feeling stuffed.

We waited approximately 1h30 in line for two people on a Saturday, and the place was absolutely packed. Despite how busy it was, the service was great, and it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered the Grand Slam and the French Toast Deluxe, and both were absolutely delicious! Special shoutout to Sunny, who was the sweetest 🥰 Definitely coming back soon!

Was upset that we spent 75$ on breakfast and it was nothing special. We got the pancakes ( smothered with syrup and no fruits ) and the mixed plate ( scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and 1 hash brown ) plus had to order the beef bacon for my husband since he wanted a full breakfast. Coffee was terrible ( was served in a broken mug for 4.25). Would not go back.
