Reviews / Ratings for Arthurs Nosh Bar
Their pancakes are a must try. Best pancakes i have ever had. If you are ever here, do try the pancakes
Good overall
Probably the rudest service I’ve ever experienced
The food is excellent at Arthur’s but something needs to be sorted out organizationally. It’s always a wait to get a table, but that’s no problem since they give you an estimated wait time. We got told at 10:30 AM that it was going to be a 45 minute wait and received a text as well stating the same thing, so we came back around 11:15 to linger around the restaurant. There was a huge crowd around the restaurant of other people all “about to have their table ready”. We waited around until 12:30 before leaving and going to another restaurant in the area for lunch. We got seated, ate a whole meal, and paid at another restaurant and still hadn’t been notified about our table at Arthur’s. At around 2:00PM, almost 4 hours after they told us it’d be 45 minutes, we cancelled our wait for the table after hearing nothing from them. It wasn’t always this bad, 🛁 but today was an organizational disaster on Arthur’s end and I don’t think we will ever go back despite being regular patrons for the last 2 years.
I ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese to take out. service was great friendly and reasonably quick. To my surprise the bagel was not fresh, in a city that has great bagels in every part of town there is no excuse to serve stale bagels. FYI bagel sandwich was $27.00 with a 15% tip.
Great brunch options. Staff very attentive and nice. Super crowded during weekends, hard to get a place outside. Music is way too loud.
On a Sunday morning Very disappointing experience with the hostess. She was rude, dismissive, and seemed to ignore customers waiting in line. I asked several times to be added to the waiting list, but she avoided giving clear answers about the order of the queue or who was ahead of us. The interaction felt disrespectful and unwelcoming. As someone with a Russian accent, I unfortunately felt singled out or treated differently, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. I hope management addresses customer service and communication issues.
Simply put the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The salmon was delicious, the eggs done perfectly, crispy latke, and I don’t know how they make these pancakes but they’re far and away the best I’ve ever had. Put this place on your list, and go!
Excellent value for the quality. While many upscale restaurants charge significantly more, this place delivers better. The menu is consistently strong—I’ve sampled half of it over the years and haven’t had a single disappointing dish. Yes, it’s pricey, but the quality of the food justifies every dollar.
Great brunch place. It can be quite hard to get a table with long wait times. That said, it is well worth it. The pancakes are really good!
This place just kind of nails it on all dimensions. The food is really good and on point with what they’re going for. Pancakes are super delicious. Salads are great. Club sandwich is yummy (super buttery toasted challah). I don’t though understand why when they busy it takes 25 mins for the pancakes. This seems like something they need to solve for.
Arthur’s Nosh Bar is a really good brunch spot in Montreal. What we like most is the cottage cheese pancakes and the fried eggs, everything is super flavorful and well done. They don’t have an espresso machine, but that doesn’t bother us since we actually prefer filter coffee. Overall, it’s an excellent spot for breakfast or brunch in the city. Just keep in mind they don’t take reservations, so you usually have to wait a bit, especially on weekends.
One of the best brunch in mtl
What kept me coming back to Arthur’s for many years was not only the amazing food, but also the service and the familiar faces that made the place feel warm and welcoming. It always felt like coming back to a childhood home, with comforting, home-style cooking. Sadly, this last visit was a very disappointing experience — both in terms of service and food. We were a group of four. I completely understand that Sundays are busy, and that’s not the issue. The problem was how poorly everything seemed to be managed. Several groups who arrived after us were seated before us, which was frustrating. Eventually, we decided to order takeout instead. However, the wait time for takeout was excessive. Once again, people who arrived after us were seated, served, and even finished their meals before we received our food. To make matters worse, the person at the cash was quite rude and lacked basic courtesy. When we finally got our food, it was nothing like what we used to love. The sandwich was underwhelming — something I could have easily made at home. The flavors were unbalanced, and it was overly greasy in an unpleasant way. Overall, this experience was very sad and disappointing, especially for a place that used to mean so much to me and my friend .
I don’t know what the exact words to use but this kinda like a instagram, style over substance kind of place. It's cute and trendy with beautiful staffs. But the food is not good and service is terrible. Staffs are arrogant, only nice towards customers who they think look trendy and expensive. The plates look pretty but the taste is soooo bad.
The service was good. The people are so polite. The only bad experience I had is the food . It was not good at all for what I was expecting. I paid 50$ for one slice of French toast, half an avocado and two omelette which was very very disappointing.
fave brunch in Montreal service is always phenomenal the food is CHEF's KISS latke smorgasboard is always a winner the pancakes are rich but a must get!
You need to try the Mc Arthur sandwich 😍🤤
We were very unlucky to meet the tall guy with black hairs and black beard at the cash at the entrance. He’s been very unpleasant, telling us “you can take a sit but you are going to wait from 20 to 45 mins to get the food you want”. There’s nothing bad with that sentence, but the tones and the non-verbal language were very unpleasant. Maybe they are so full of clients that they don’t need +2 more. Good for everyone
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Lived up to the hype. A must visit for locals & tourists.
Me and my dad had a wonderful experience at Arthur’s today. I have been before but this was my first time since they renovated the place and it had a wonderful vibe. The staff was amazing. We tried to order some items but they had run out so they gave us a dessert on the house which was very kind. The food was delicious as usual and the wait time was much shorter than previous visits (only 12 minutes). If you haven’t been already, I highly recommend it!!
Awful. Overrated. Worst filter coffee of my life. I barely drank it and they charged my 4$! I literally saw people coming in with coffee from across the street from Cafe Campanelli! Also they don't have certain thinks on the menu in the week which was disappointing. What I ordered wasn't anything special. The latkas were good. The best thing were the pancakes but there were only 2 and it's 18$...ridiculous. Never going back.
The new renovations are so nice! Alexandra the waitress is always amazing, kind and quick. Forever my fav brunch spot in MTL.
Pancake so good and avocado toast
