Beautiful food spot. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and came out in a timely manner. Everything was seasoned well with a highlight being the Syrniki. The service we had was lovely, accommodating and attentive.
What guests say about Arthurs Nosh Bar 🇨🇦
At Chez Arthurs Nosh Bar, the food clearly stands out as the main strength, especially the pancakes, brunch items, and certain sandwiches that are often mentioned as excellent. The place is often busy, so expect a wait and sometimes a noisy or cramped environment. On the other hand, many reviews point to inconsistent service, sometimes very warm and fast, but other times cold, slow, or unwelcoming.

I'm not even kidding, these are the best pancakes I've ever had in my life
Food is delish, nice ambiance, kindest owners and staff was very sweet too. Worth the wait!
Best breakfast I’ve had in Montreal. Definitely worth the wait!
10/10 breakfast
The food is pretty heavenly. Staff are good. Only downside is how busy it gets and the chaos of lining up and getting your seat is disorganized. Of course, like many other brunch places unfortunately, it’s also a bit pricy.
This is a place I wish I could bring my Grandma Sylvia. She would have absolutely freaked her beak over the most gorgeous platter of lox I’ve ever seen—beautifully presented and every bit as delicious as it looked. The thick wedge of challah, rich and tender, felt like something from another era. And the stout cottage cheese pancakes, blanketed in maple syrup, were the kind of dish that makes conversation stop for a moment so everyone at the table can simply appreciate what’s happening. It’s a feast in the truest sense of the word—abundant, joyful, and meant to be shared. May they be fruitful and multiply.
Best pancakes I’ve ever had and friendly service
These are the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my life!
Pancakes are great
Best brunch on the island and its not even close. Get a Caesar and either the salami sandwich or the McArthur sandwich (cutlet) and get the syrnikis to share (although I can never decide whether the ricotta is better off standing on its own or if adding the bananas is worth it). (Dealing with the wait time for a table: usually I wouldn’t, but this place is that good… go across the street to browse Librarie Saint-Henri and you can also grab a coffee at either Campanelli or Bar Bara, where you can even grab an aperitif if the brunch is gonna be boozy anyway.)
Visited from Toronto to try this place after hearing so much about it. Arrived around 3 PM and ended up waiting about 40 minutes for our food. After waiting we asked to cancel our order, but the manager told us the wait is usually around 25 minutes. Unfortunately, we had already been waiting that long and still didn’t have our food, so we decided to stay and wait it out. Our waitress was great and kindly took our drinks off the bill, which was appreciated. The food was good, but not worth the long wait. Overall, it didn’t live up to the hype for me.
I had been hearing great things about Arthur’s Nosh Bar for a long time, so I was excited to finally give it a try. The interior was one of the highlights for me—the décor is very close to my personal style, with a warm, charming bistro atmosphere that immediately made me feel at home. We arrived on a Saturday morning around 9:30 a.m. and were the first people on the waiting list, but it still took about 25 minutes to get seated. We placed our order pretty quickly, but the food took another 20–25 minutes to arrive. Since the kitchen is open, the noise from dishes being collected and stacked carried into the dining area. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it did make the space feel a bit louder than expected. Our table was also right beside a narrow walkway, so people were constantly brushing past us, which wasn’t the most comfortable seating location. That said, the food was excellent. The French toast was delicious, and the portion size was perfect for one person. I’m particularly sensitive to the smell of eggs, and I was pleasantly surprised that the eggs were fresh and had no unpleasant odor at all. Unfortunately, their espresso machine was out of service that day, so the coffee wasn’t quite what I had hoped for. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The food quality and beautiful atmosphere outweighed the minor inconveniences, and I would definitely come back—next time, I’d just ask for a different table. 😊☕🥞🍳
Had a good brunch here with a group of 3- the service rating is low because of an almost 2 hr wait to be seated after being told at the door it would be 45min (followed by a txt that it would actually be 60min). I had the Shakshuka which was well balanced and amazingly flavored - all my friends wanted a bite. We also shared a Syrniki which was sweet and filling. The malt vinegar fries were also great- crispy and the vinegar balanced out the salt. Overall I would consider coming again but the unpredictable wait time is something to consider.
Best pancake, love the service and vibe. Coffee and juice are great. One of my favorite spot
The occasion provided us with many pleasant and comfortable moments. The dishes served were genuinely tasty, and the people were so sweet. The employees maintained a remarkably friendly presence. Overall, it was a thoroughly nice experience, presenting good quality at very fair rates.
I had this blueberry pancake and it was one of the best things I’ve ever had so perfect!! Totally recommended :)
A nice place for breakfast or brunch. The menu is varied and interesting. There’s also a wide selection of drinks.
3 for spacing and long waits Best Gravlax in St Henri (my readily go to option) Beat Gravlax is at Ikea (secret and only able here and there as it's long to travel to) So we eat Gravlax here 99% of the time 😉 ❤️
Their pancakes are a must try. Best pancakes i have ever had. If you are ever here, do try the pancakes
Good overall
Probably the rudest service I’ve ever experienced
The food is excellent at Arthur’s but something needs to be sorted out organizationally. It’s always a wait to get a table, but that’s no problem since they give you an estimated wait time. We got told at 10:30 AM that it was going to be a 45 minute wait and received a text as well stating the same thing, so we came back around 11:15 to linger around the restaurant. There was a huge crowd around the restaurant of other people all “about to have their table ready”. We waited around until 12:30 before leaving and going to another restaurant in the area for lunch. We got seated, ate a whole meal, and paid at another restaurant and still hadn’t been notified about our table at Arthur’s. At around 2:00PM, almost 4 hours after they told us it’d be 45 minutes, we cancelled our wait for the table after hearing nothing from them. It wasn’t always this bad, 🛁 but today was an organizational disaster on Arthur’s end and I don’t think we will ever go back despite being regular patrons for the last 2 years.
I ordered a bagel with lox and cream cheese to take out. service was great friendly and reasonably quick. To my surprise the bagel was not fresh, in a city that has great bagels in every part of town there is no excuse to serve stale bagels. FYI bagel sandwich was $27.00 with a 15% tip.
Great brunch options. Staff very attentive and nice. Super crowded during weekends, hard to get a place outside. Music is way too loud.
