Goodness gracious this was a lovely evening with cheery service, delicious food and a upbeat ambiance. The fish & chips is made in house was was flaky & crispy with no heavy batter or greasy feel. The accompanying coleslaw was creamy and yummy and the fries were perfect. The homemade tartare was perfect and the also homemade aioli was sublime. Dinner companions chose the Haloumi bowl and was very happy with it texture and taste. Last but definitely not at all least, the osso buco won the night's sounds for yum and ohh! It was off the bone tender and the polenta was smoother than a Sade song. See photos for proof. Bothe beets and beef tartare were delicious too. Highly recommend. Great view and parking is located behind the restaurant (a mere 2 minute walk) and it is free. Do visit during the warmer months as it it a great spot to have a local beer or cider ( check out the varied list!!) after a breezy bicycle ride. Lots of cyclists stop by after a good ride.

Pogos were good, but expensive. The pulled pork sandwich was good but small. The fries however were horrendous. They were stale, firm and cold. Tasted like they had been left out for hours or maybe even reused from the day before. Also, I was never offered a refill on my beer which was generally pretty good, but by the time I had the chance to order again, we were ready to leave. There are many other, better restaurants along the river so we won't be coming back here.
