Almost all of us have been part of a Murder Mystery party someday. If the reception had been more entertaining, the organization, it had undoubtedly been tedious! Want to put that back, but at the restaurant? It's easy with the Murder & Mystery nights at Côtes-à-Côtes.
In fact, we reserve and voila! An evening full of twists and good food awaits us. And the formula is more than tempting: $ 50 for theatrical performance and a table d'hôte including starter, soup, main course, dessert and coffee. WE love!
New show: Money does not make happiness
The concept has existed for quite some time already at the restaurant of the rue Sous-le-Fort in the Quartier Petit-Champlain, but a new show has just been added to the calendar: Money does not make happiness! With this story, we are immersed in the criminal past of Quebec City. It goes back the time until August 29, 1809 to solve the murder of Rachel Craig who was murdered with bag of pieces of silver!
How is the evening?
The actors first walk between the tables and select some elected officials who are wearing a hat or accessories. In all, there are a dozen guests who are chosen at random in the room to play a small role in the evening. No fear for the faintest, you are given your text and you just have to read it. For the rest, the troupe of three talented actors is busy animating the evening and launch the charges. Laughs in perspective!
Food side
We enjoy the menu concocted especially for this type of evening. Each service comes to offer a small break between theatrical animations. As an entree, choose between wild rillettes, wild mushroom arancinis from Quebec
or the tempura rib knuckles. After the soup, we then enjoy the main course that we selected between Surf N 'Turf bib + shrimp flambé Sortilège, Tartare duo salmon + gravlax rainbow trout or ribs maple and duck drumsticks candied "wings" style. Once the affair is resolved, we end the evening in style with a gourmet dessert and a tasty coffee or tea.
