Honestly the best Greek restaurant I have ever tried. Went for their “Greek Brunch” as well, absolutely amazing and unique. Must try hidden gem in Ndg.
Amazing food! Friendly staff and a perfect spot to go with friends and family! Muuusstttt try the spanakopita!! Deliiiiciosoo 🤩
my favourite greek spot. absolutely beautiful vibe with amazing service and the food is unbelievable! i would literally lick food off the floor from this restaurant it’s THAT good!!!! also the bartenders are super cute
Absolutely amazing experience at Yia Sou Greek Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. From the perfectly grilled meats to the authentic Greek salads and warm pita, every dish was delicious. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was cozy, lively, and perfect for a night out with family or friends. Easily one of the best Greek restaurants in the city — highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!
Ordered the lamb burger and received one with stale and rock hard bun. Had to saw it with a steak knife. Even with the steak knife, it was not possible to cut through the bottom bun. The burger itself was rubbery hard, not juicy or fresh. I've had better McDonald's bugers for quarter of the price. My mistake for ordering a burger at a greek restaurant instead of a souvlaki.
Customer service was amazing however I ordered pick up and the food wasn’t ready when I got there and after receiving my food the fries were extremely cold and my pitas were full of sauce and wrong.
We had Grill plate for 2, the grill part was delicious and well marinated and the rice and potato side were medium but still ok.
One of the best fried squid in the city!
Was craving a good feed of Greek food and this place delivered. Generous portions. Good quality, homemade food. Have the Greek salad and spanakopita. Very good. Thank you!
After a long day of travelling, I just wanted a home cooked meal. This place did not disappoint. The food was top notch. I got the Chicken Brochette and a Greek salad. The rice, potatoes and yogurt sauce were unbelievable. Definitely will be coming back here!
My friends and I stopped by this Greek restaurant for brunch on Saturday, and it was a great experience. We tried the Greek shakshuka, baklava pancakes, and the lamb burger everything was delicious and well prepared. The Lamb Burger is one of it's kind, recommended. The portion sizes felt fair for the price, which we really appreciated. The staff were warm and attentive and since we were in a bit of a rush, it was great that our food came out promptly without any delays. Overall a pleasant and satisfying brunch spot definitely worth a visit
Portions are generous. I had the moussaka, which was okay but pricey for $40. My friends had the souvlaki platter. They said it was good. Service could be paced better. While it is fast, wait until the clients have finished their entree & salad before plunking the main meal in front of them. This is where I noticed the difference when going to a fine dining place versus a standard restaurant.
Great experience 👍 👌 👏
I used to order from here often, but I’m done. The last three times I ordered a chicken pita, the chicken was unbelievably dry, so dry it was hard to swallow. Money in the garbage
Went for dinner with my mum and a friend. We started with the taramasalata to share, which came in a very generous portion. Creamy, well done, and perfect for sharing at the table. I ordered the grilled octopus plate and really enjoyed it. The octopus was cooked perfectly, tender with a nice char, and very well seasoned. The rice on the side was also great and paired well with the dish. The potatoes across an all of the plates were a bit of a letdown. They were quite bland and served in very large chunks, which made them less enjoyable compared to the rest of the meal. My mum had the lamb skewers with potatoes. She really enjoyed the skewers, which were well cooked and nicely seasoned, but also felt the potatoes weren’t the best. My friend ordered the chicken souvlaki plate and really enjoyed it.
Amazing restaurant! Great food and great service. Would highly recommend.
Pikilia was delicious, Ouzo was something else 🥴 loved it. Beautiful greek music playing althrough the evening, would come again 60$ including great tip
Very unprofessional stuff
I went for dinner. I has lentil soup, and the chicken brochette souvlaki plate, with rice and fries. The fries are really to die for! They are cut a bigger than what I usually see but the crunch on the outside and softness on the inside were really a good sign of the good cook on them. The chicken brochette was well seasoned and no part of the dish was salty which I really appreciated. I also tasted the chicken platter, which was also very well seasoned and tender. Its definitely a must try restaurant!
Second bad experience in a row at Yia Sou. We were told our takeout would be ready for 6:30 PM. I arrived at 6:35 and was repeatedly told “it’s ready, it’s coming” — yet I didn’t receive the order until 7:10 PM. Only then did the staff admit they had made a mistake and entered the pickup time as 7:30 PM. Meanwhile, people at home were waiting with the rest of the meal ready. The bigger issue was the service. One server (young woman with long dark hair) was openly rude and dismissive, accused me of being rude to a new staff member, and said no one would bring the order to my car. I went back inside to confirm — the younger new staff member clearly said I was not rude and that she had in fact told me she would bring the food out to the car. When I asked the server with the long dark hair for her name, she refused to give it. No accountability, no apology, and completely unprofessional — especially for a place that wasn’t even busy. This reflects poor management and a lack of proper staff training. After two experiences like this, we won’t be coming back.
Really delicious food! I do think they may have forgotten about us and it took a while to pay but other than that, a great experience!
Chicken brochette platter was good and filling however the chicken was dry.
First time hearing and coming here but definitely not the last!! Amazing staff and amazing authentic greek food super fresh!! Loved my experienced
