Amazing food, vibe and drinks. It's a bit on the pricey end. I'd give 5 stars, but our waiter wasn't wearing any deodorant and the smell was unpleasantly overpowering each time he came at the table.

Chicken skewers and beer, what more could you ask for? Yakitori Hibahihi is certainly reminiscent of a japanese eatery; the ambiance, decor and smell of charcoal-grilled food will take you back to a lively night in Tokyo. Although the food was on the pricier side, everything was delicious. Highly recommended for a fun night out with friends and family over some shared plates and drinks.

Best skewers spot in town! Great service as well! Tried fried chicken skin appetizer and every meat skewers except for the Wagyu one and they were all delicious. The plum beer was also a really nice discovery!

I visited on Friday night around 7:30 PM. I understand it was busy, but the service was very inconsistent and frustrating. One staff member told me takeaway was available, so I waited about 10 minutes. However, another staff member (who was handling the entrance/takeaway requests at that time) then told me it was not possible, and that no seats were available due to full reservations. When I asked a simple question about whether takeaway or seating would be possible on another day, this staff member tried to cut off the conversation and prioritised other customers without answering clearly, while also assuming I was asking about availability for the same day. I had to insist on getting a basic answer. Overall, the issue was not the lack of availability, but the dismissive attitude and lack of clear communication. I hope the team can improve consistency and customer interaction.

An excellent option for a (almost authentic) yakitori place in Montréal. If this city needed something more, this place feels like a breath of fresh air!

Experience wise it’s what Montreal is missing, exotic, charcoal smells amazing . Food wise it’s bit mediocre considering the price. especially on the chicken part, should be more juicy however it’s bit dry, beef is beautiful, prawns are good. Service is not to the point, when a sauce is house radishes meaning very spicy you would expect some warning from the waitress, but, no.

Kitano and Imaizumi have done it again. Truly. What I loved the most about Kitano Shokudo is sort of the theatrics of it. Or I guess the lack of theatrics? I'm not sure. The way all of it feels raw but we get to see all of it. Maybe I'm just a fan boy at this point but seriously, this place is on par with high-end yakitori spots I've been to in Tokyo. Heavily recommend. Get a seat at the bar and enjoy getting wafted with the chicken-y binchotan smoke. Can you guys add negima to the menu? That's my favourite. Good job.

We chose the restaurant based on reviews. Yet the food was disappointing: Karaage had no crunch and was very oily, the shio ramen had no flavor (which is a feat) but lots of oil, the chicken wings were “soft baked” I guess and very oily. I ate at numerous yakitori around Japan, I don’t know if there was an issue tonight, but the food we had had nothing to do with yakitori. Service was okay. A bit too present (waitress extending her hand from behind me and right besides my face to feel my can on the table) or expeditious at times. The place is beautifully decorated and the pictures don’t do justice to the design work they put in. So I can’t recommend for anything else but (expensive) vibes.

Truly a phenomenal experience from start to finish. Staff was so kind and inviting, the food was just insane, and the wine selection was good! The sashimi was some of the best I've ever had.

You can see everything was thoughtful, the decor, the hot towel before eating, the music, the food was presented so well. Each dish they introduce it with passion to let us know how it works. Wow, I’ll definitely come back to try more food with friend’s & family

I always enjoy the food when Hiroshi or Hide are involved. I got lucky with 2 seats being available when I walked in without a reservation.

This place is a gem! From the minute you walk in you are met with smiles and warmth and a beautiful decor. The sake and wine list is great! Multiple portion options available. The menu is exactly what you want from a yakitori restaurant with cold and hot sides and even the chef’s trademark sashimi bowls and ramen! Every skewer we tasted was perfection and the Maguro dish is out of this world!!! Chutoro available too is heaven. Desserts are light and delicious to end the meal!! You leave already planning and craving your next meal there! Long live Hibahihi and chef Hiroshi!!!!! Thank you team!

Great service and atmosphere, we love the concept! But sadly the food was disappointing. All of the yakitori we tried lacked the char, felt almost undercooked, and missed the charm that defines good yakitori.
