I had a very disappointing experience at Wienstein & Gavino's. I personally like the food and usually enjoy ordering from this restaurant, but the service I received during my Uber Eats pickup was very unprofessional. My order was supposed to be ready much earlier, but I waited around 45 minutes in total. After arriving about 25 minutes after the order time, the delivery employee still made me wait and treated me disrespectfully, assuming I was just an Uber pickup driver without properly checking the situation. The attitude and behavior were rude, unprofessional, and not acceptable for customer service. Customers and delivery drivers should be treated with respect and professionalism at all times. I hope the management seriously reviews this issue and improves staff behavior and order handling to prevent this from happening again.

The food that we ordered was absolutely amazing and when you tasted the flavor it burst in my mouth and we were in “pasta heaven “. The staff were so kind and showed my son some water tricks and we had an amazing time. As for the atmosphere the walls and lights made it look so natural and it felt really cozy like you’re in Italy. Five stars

Located in the vibrant downtown area near Concordia. I didn’t expect the place to be this big, but the service was still great. Our waiter knew what he was doing and checked in regularly without being too intrusive. We ordered the Salsicce e rapini pizza and a lasagna, both were really delicious and different (in a good way) from what we’re used to. We also tried the homemade tiramisu, which was excellent. I also really liked the interior design of the restaurant, looked traditional and classic!

One of the best Italian restaurants in Montreal! This is our favorite place to go right after going to the cinema. The staff is extremely kind and always on their feet despite the restaurant being super busy. We really love the appetizer Arancini along with the different varieties of pasta and pizza for the actual meal. A definite 10/10 and would highly recommend this place located on Crescent street.

Great atmosphere and lovely patio, but the food was really corporate and just okay. Mostly, the service was inattentive. Your server could walk by you, make eye contact while you're asking for the bill, then not acknowledge you for another 20 minutes.

Nice atmosphere and great location, but parking was a bit hard to find. We tried the Margherita and Pollo Pesto pizzas, and they were honestly just average; I expected a bit more from an Italian restaurant. That said, the cocktails were really good and definitely the highlight of the night.

This place really needs to be inspected by the government. I went about 18 months ago and woke up later that night with food poisoning. My partner visited last night and woke up out of her sleep throwing up. Two separate instances over such a long span of time suggests serious recurring hygiene problems and a pattern of mismanagement. Service is outstanding and the food certainly tasted good but seriously, what are the odds? If I were you, I wouldn't risk it. It's not worth the money.

Everything was spot on for flavour. Service was very attentive. Very large open area. It did get a bit loud in general. The servers accommodated us to a little less nosy area. Really enjoyed the experience.

We absolutely love Wienstein & Gavino’s—it’s a must-visit every year when we come to Montreal from Toronto. We were lucky enough to have Kamiah as our server again this year, and she was just as fantastic as we remembered. She’s incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and genuinely cares about your experience. At one point she said, “I want you to be as happy as I would want to be when I go out,” which really stuck with us. Her recommendations were spot on every time. We ended up eating there four times in three days and were never disappointed. The manager, Laura, was also very warm and welcoming, and it’s clear she’s well respected by the team. Already looking forward to coming back next year—W&G never disappoints!

Second time in Montreal after 15 years. Was craving some good Italian food. Found this place. Stopped for lunch. We ordered the seafood pasta- mussels, shrimp, calamari, clams, squid- in a tomato sauce. It was amazing! Flavour was just right, pasta cooked perfectly and most importantly it was served hot! Loved every bite! We did our tour on Mount Royal and decided we should try it once more for supper since it was so delicious! My husband ordered the pesto, beef pasta- which was outstanding- must try! I ordered the same seafood pasta but it wasn’t as good. It was served warm not hot. A big let disappointment for me. And somehow the seafood tasted like it was just mixed with the sauce. It was mixing the flavours. If I visit Montreal I will definitely return! The portion was very generous, price is very reasonable and the staff & waiters were amazing!
