Music too loud which makes it hard to enjoy food and converse with the people at your table. Went back and food still remains best among all Indian vegetarian restaurants. Music was a little better this time, not too loud like last time which made it easier to talk with everyone at my table while enjoying the food. Service is always great here, nice and polite staff.

The service was really good. The mango mojito we ordered made by Reet was great too. The malai paneer tikka was mazing too. Must try!

Best indian restaurant that did not disappoint us in Montreal. Being vegetarians, we always struggled to find delicious food but WeDesi had many options for us… veg special was great! Malai soya chaap and panner tikkaa were equally delicious.

The food overall was fine but the staff is very irresponsible. I left my hand bag there and I called them to ask if they saw it and one of the staff told me they found it and I told them to keep for next week because I live far away from there and it was late at night. I called them again to let them know that my friend will pick the bag up and they said yeah that’s fine. When my friend arrived there they didn’t find the bag and when I asked them where was it they said that someone put it outside because they thought it was a “kid’s” bag and when I asked for explanation they apologized and said they will check the camera and there are still no updates. The staff has no sincerity over consumer’s request and well- being in their restaurant. Overall the whole situation shows how irresponsible the staff is.Honestly I was a regular customer but I would never go there ever again. In fact,I wouldn’t recommend going to this restaurant,to my friends and family, because of the staff’s attitude and behaviour.

Imagine ordering multiple dishes, not liking ONE, and being treated like you personally offended the entire restaurant. The waitresses and even the manager were visibly upset, and the cashier ended things by suggesting we take food “to go next time.” Message received loud and clear. Customer service needs serious work.

Food is amazing. we ordered vada pav, mysore masala dosa and Chana bhatura. all different region cuisine still the taste was not compromised. It was very good. must try their Pomegranate Mojito. It is Mojito with Indian twist.! Special thanks to Reet.

The food here is absolutely amazing! It’s a perfect spot for vegetarians.You can enjoy your meal without worrying about cross-contamination since everything is fully vegetarian. I’ve been coming here every weekend for the past month, and it’s always a pleasure to return. The dishes are consistently delicious, and the staff are very attentive especially when you ask for no spice, they make sure to tailor everything to your taste. Highly recommend this place!

We Desi is by far my most favourite vegetarian Indian restaurant in the Greater Montreal Area. I’ve been coming to the restaurant for the past 4 years and the quality of food and service has been consistently amazing. Our favourite thing to order is the Channa Baturas. The channa is fragrant with all aromatic spices but is not chilli hot and therefore a real delight to eat with the fluffy cloud like bhaturas (which were bigger than my head! ) The home made carrot pickle is divine. I would happily eat a bowl of it. The cooling yogurt served with this dish is the perfect end. It’s one of the best I’ve eaten outside of India. Another favourite is the Paneer Tikka sizzler. Chunks of char grilled paneer, bell peppers, onions and cabbage, served on a sizzler plate. It tastes so good. We are big fans of the selection of their sweets as well. I love their jalebis, barfi and gulag jamun. A one stop shop when my heart is craving authentic Indian flavours. Supporting family run restaurants, and fresh, authentic food from India is a win win in my book. The staff is very friendly and sweet, the restaurant is clean and welcoming. I can’t stop thinking about the channa bhatura… maybe it’s time to go back tonight

Great spot for fresh Indian snacks! I ordered the samosas and veggie pakora and both were super fresh and perfectly crunchy. The chutney had a nice spicy kick that made everything even better. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. If you’re looking for great samosas, pakoras, and authentic snacks, this is definitely a place to check out. It will for sure be my go-to spot for snacks and sweets!

Amazing Indian restaurant! I went for lunch and ordered the vegetable thali, and it was absolutely delicious—so flavorful and satisfying. I also love that the entire restaurant is vegetarian, which makes it such a great spot for anyone looking for amazing meat-free Indian food. The prices are very reasonable too. One tip: if you’re ordering takeout, call ahead because the wait can get pretty long if you just show up. But honestly, it’s totally worth it. I’ll definitely be back!

I can’t get enough from how good and flavourful the meals were. The waitress is very attentive and kind, she would give us extra napkins and refill water without us asking for it (and we needed it actually!) . The way the food was presented was so good!!! I can’t wait to eat there again!

Finally we found an Indian restaurant that did not disappoint us in Montreal. Being vegetarians, we always struggled to find delicious food but WeDesi had many options for us… veg special platter was awesome! Paneer patiala and bread basket were equally delicious. Curries were a little less in quantity though!
