One of the most frightening restaurant experiences of my life This was not just bad service or bad food—this was an alarming and unsafe situation that no customer should ever experience. We were two families with children who went there for brunch. Our orders were mixed up: a vegetable omelet and an “all‑dressed” omelet with bacon looked almost identical. After the first bite, we realized the mistake and calmly asked for the orders to be corrected. Instead of apologizing, the owner stormed to our table, spoke aggressively, and blamed us, saying we should have paid more attention—despite the fact that the error was clearly theirs. Because of his hostile behavior, we decided to pay and leave. After I paid, one of our friends said she would only pay once her correct order was prepared. That’s when the situation turned disturbing. The owner began shouting, acting irrationally, and creating a scene in front of other customers and children. When I asked him to show basic respect and calm down, the conflict escalated beyond anything imaginable. As we tried to leave, the owner locked the door behind us. Yes—locked us inside the restaurant. What followed was shocking and terrifying: four people physically grabbed my clothes and my leg to prevent me from leaving, even though I had already paid and was trying to exit peacefully. At that moment, we genuinely feared for our safety. We were only able to leave after calling the police and with their intervention. I never thought I would need police assistance just to leave a restaurant after brunch. I have never witnessed behavior like this—not even remotely. Even in places known for crime, business owners understand that customer safety and basic human respect come first. This experience was deeply unsettling, and I strongly warn others to stay away from this place.

I’m sharing a concerning experience that happened to a few friends at this restaurant. They were served the wrong order, and when they politely asked to correct it, the situation became hostile. They paid their bill and tried to leave, but the interaction escalated and caused distress, especially with children present. The police were called and issued a warning. I hope the management improves how customer concerns are handled, as this was very upsetting.

I ordered a benedict plate with a side of breakfast sausages. The hollandaise sauce was runny and bland. The breakfast sausages were good. Overall the food could have used seasoning.
