Visited on a Saturday Night, It was for a very special event, we were all looking forward to sharing this special occasion at a restaurant that is close to our heritage, the owner although offering exceptional service beforehand, once we were seated and eating, his staff was unable to provide us adequate services due to the miscommunication from the owner to his staff. The staff should be aware prior to being seated of special dietary restrictions when a big group event is planned weeks ahead of time. Although the food was impeccable, the restaurant was missing staff. The atmosphere wasn't that great as there was no background music, or there was and due to the high volume of the people in the restaurant we were unable to hear it. The lights continued to flicker and was giving headaches. We had brought a custom made cake for the occasion, after arriving home, we realized they have not given the cake back, it was left on the table and they brought it back to the kitchen while we were there for some reason. The wine was not left on the table, even when empty and were removed and it was difficult to track, we are convinced we overpaid at least 2 bottles more than we drank. We had a preset menu and the waiter had came with a regular menu, which was a lack of communication.

We want to address a few points with transparency: 🍽️ **Service & dietary needs**: That Saturday, our dining room was completely full with 90+ guests. Within your group of 17, we were happy to accommodate 4 guests with gluten intolerance and 2 vegans — offering custom sauce options and adapted dishes. We recognize coordinating 17 guests with 6 special requests is complex, and we always strive to communicate this clearly between our team. We hear you that there is room for improvement on that front. 🎵 **Music**: With a fully packed room and the natural energy of a large celebration, we keep the music at a level that allows conversation — a deliberate choice we make out of respect for all our guests. 🍷 **Wine**: We always display empty bottles openly on the table so guests can track their consumption. Your group enjoyed 6 bottles and took nearly a full bottle home, also benefiting from a 15% discount. We want every guest to feel confident about what they've been served. 🎂 **The cake**: We completely understand the disappointment. When your group left, the leftover cake remained on the table. As is our standard practice — especially heading into our Sunday–Monday closure — uncollected items cannot be kept. We genuinely wish we could have returned it. We did hear from you shortly after, and we were sorry we could no longer help at that point. We are glad to know you complimented the food (5/5 — thank you!) and we are grateful you chose us for such a meaningful occasion. Trattoria Romantica with chef Daniele never disappoints!! The food is always amazing and delicious!! We highly recommend this restaurant you will not be disappointed!! We have also booked it for private events a huge success. The service is on point and the atmosphere with the soft jazz playing is perfect!! 10/10

My wife & I always wanted to try this Restaurant since we are from Ste. Dorothée. Are we glad we did. Valentine's Menu was a plus. 3 course meal including warm Italian bread, bruschetta starter, entré, main meal, dessert & cappuccino. No longer bring your own wine, decent price wine by the glass or Italian beer.

Food was wonderful! We had grilled calamari, caprese salad, seafood pasta and my partner had ossobuco. For dessert we had the chocolate tortufo and ferraro roche cake. The only reason I'm not giving the food 5 stars is because the caprese was chilled so I could tell it was prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge. I would have preferred room temperature and fresh.
