Buffet style, large choice but all very ordinary, definitely not worth the exaggerated price. Thought it would have been better.
Reviews / Ratings for Tommy Wonton Sherbrooke
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! 94$ for 2 people which is way over expensive in my judgment and the food is disgusting. I came home and was sicker than ever. I dont recommend!!!!
We been there the very first day it opened, it was a 5/5 for us, we went a second time for my mother's birthday and we both were sick for a day. I hope they change the cooks or something because we need a buffet in Sherbrooke. Service was good and first time too.
I really wanted this to be good and it just wasn’t. The options of food were limited and not interesting. Flavors were decent, nothing special. The worst part was that everything was overcooked. It was like the chafing dishes were turned up to high and all the food had been sitting in them for a while, getting overcooked. This diminished flavor and gave terrible textures. Desserts were all cold items but seemed to be previously frozen. I think they just took them out of the freezer, let them thaw then served them. The worst part of this is that for such bad food, you have to pay so much to eat here. Needless to say, I won’t be eating here again and I’m going to warn others not to.
Im giving Tommy Wonton almost 5⭐️in everything. All the food selection is great! We ate on a Saturday evening. Arrived at 5pm. We paid 94$ for 2 persons. The cashier said that its already including the tip of 12%. I think its a fair price given a good quality of food. Sushi selection was a bit limited but i am not a big eater so, everything is enough for me. Though I must say that the beef and pork steak isnt tender and we requested for medium rare but still given well done, but thats okay. 😊 we loved all the salad, main course selection, the asian vegetable selection and seafood is the best!!! Dessert and drinks are included too. Coffee and Tea is also unlimited. All the servers are nice, its being cleaned everytime. I hope next time we can try the beer and wine too. Overall its a good experience and we will definitely come back. The price seems fair, and its nearby. We can now save gas since we live nearby the restaurant. Its a good alternative rather driving to Montreal especially during winter. I also wanted to add, maybe they can a little more meat inside the wonton because I remembered eating only the wonton wrapper😅 but overall its great food!
The food and service was good. The staff is very nice and attentive.
The price 48,24$ on a Saturday night is quite expensive, also for a Sunday night 25$ is more reasonable kinda. The food was fine some pasta tasted like fish but anyways overall it was good and warm, the dessert section very but very less choice not a lot to choose from and the service not so well my boyfriend asked for some water it took 40 min for her to come back with some water even though she was roaming around to serve other people before us. The plates are very small not much food could fit in it
For me it was the same as the Continental restaurant that occupied the space prior to this new restaurant opening. Food choices were all the same as before.
I would give 0 star for the food. Disgusting, will never go back and so not worth the money. It costed $96 for 2 adults which includes 12% tip in pricing. You have to pay before eating which I now understand because I would not pay this price for that food. We will never go back, McDonald is better than this buffet.
lot of choices specially crab. paid in advance made line up long
The price range is quite decent, especially for the variety offered. The buffet includes a wide selection of Asian and Italian-style dishes, along with a fresh salad bar — so there’s always something for everyone. One thing that really stands out is the sushi bar. If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, you can simply let the chef know, and they’ll gladly prepare a special sushi order just for you. It’s a thoughtful touch that shows how much they care about their customers. Overall, Tommy Wonton offers good food, fair prices, and great service. With so many choices and such a friendly environment, it’s definitely a place worth visiting again.
It's a nice place to go, the sushi is pretty reasonable, and they have a nice variety of food so there's probably something for everyone. We will definitely make this a regular place
Worse then the old buffet
Decided to go for my dads birthday. Left full but unsatisfied. I tried to try alot to make sure that it was not just a few things that were bland but almsot eveything I tried was either bland or terrible. I likes the fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork (when I got the pieces that were not hard as a rock.) And the little breakfast potatoes. I will never go back but my father was happy so I'm glad we went. He was in love with the wonton soup, he said it was some of the best he's had. As for service, the staff were so polite, smiled alot and were quick to take empty plates away and offer more water. The inside looks exactly the same as the old buffet des continents which is not bad but just feels off as it's not the same company any more. One plus side is the unlimited free sodas thats very uncommon for a buffet.
The buffet is the same inside as Buffet des Continents which was there before, the menu is a bit more asian though. Quality of the food was mid to good, as expected from a large scale buffet like this. Some items are really good (the asian noodles and chicken balls!!) but some really don't keep that well under the heat lamps. The staff was really friendly, although be prepared to be asked about water and empty plates several times. We stayed there for 1h30, it wasn't too crowded or loud because the place is huge. Seating was tight on the higher section (tables just too close to each other) and the dim lighting felt a bit too dark. The price is way too much and I overate a lot to compensate and make it feel worth it (but I guess everything costs too much nowadays). Several items did not have a name and we had to guess what the food was. Below are pictures of the schedule and prices. There is a 6.48$ service fee per table which is not stated in the posted price. You have to pay upon arrival and you can leave whenever.
I feel like vomiting after eating this restaurant is the worst experience I have ever eaten. I won't come here in the future
