The price was quite high for a late Sunday night. They were no longer charging for the food, and the buffet wasn’t profitable.
What guests say about Tommy Wonton Sherbrooke
The buffet seems to offer a good selection of Asian dishes, with several customers saying they enjoyed the sushi, crab, shrimp, and some desserts. However, several reviews mention dishes that are too dry, cold, salty, or sometimes empty, as well as inconsistent quality depending on the time of day. The service receives both positive comments and criticism, and the price is often considered high, especially with the service charges requested in advance.

Worst service and restaurant ever in this town ! First of all you pay 12% for service fees that may not be service fees but also the tip (as they know that you won't leave any because of the quality of the food), then of course you came to eat sushis, meat and lot of different meals..... Well folks you can only have this on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Not sure you should go on these days either.... Food is unacceptable, from the day before, mushy, dried out, as hard as a rock. You don't want to go to work? Come and eat here and for sure you'll be sick for a week. You'd rather go to tim Hortons or anywhere close if you want to eat. And if you're close to die of hunger....just die at least you won't suffer from this food. The only thing that saved us is the great waiter who was really nice and SO MUCH SORRY for us eating here. If he could make us go somewhere else, he would.
When a restaurant imposes a service fee of 18% (aka a tip) before you’ve even started your meal (and you haven’t served yourself yet), there’s a problem.
My kids wanted to try a buffet and this used to be a Buffet des Continents before… it’s quite expensive for normal people and even expensive for kids over 4 years old… the food was very average and not appealing… the kids were happy to grab some various bites and pieces… it’s a little bit of everything from Chinese Asian buffet with dry overcooked too expensive food… for the same price many other restaurants offer much much more and fresh… not sure we will ever go back not good for us parents
Very great food nice selection!!
Food was fine. Price is very much higher than expected for the food.
Great food, place could of been a bit cleaner.
That place is so bad. Food was tough had to rip meat apart with teeth. Even wonton soup wonton was so tough could not cut in half with spoon had to use knife in soup. Am sure this food was reheated from weekend. Only had one small plate then walked out. Only about 14 people in whole place had everyone sitting in corner as only one waiter to pick up plates. $30.00 FOR ONE SMALL PLATE NO COFFEE OR DESERTS GOT UP AND LEFT. SO BAD.
Always delicious
Nothing to say bad there, so good place a lot, and a great team. So continue like that, yes, please
Seriously deceiving. (73$ for 2 people is ridiculous considering everything) I've seen the reviews before going in, but i thought i'd give it a shot. First of all, there's fishes (like pets) in the worst aquarium (water's disgusting and theres literally nothing else in the aquarium except water and a couple fishes). After that we asked the woman at the entrance if they were serving crab tonight (they dont on wednesday nights) but the lady affirmed that there would be sea food.. turns out there was only shrimps. Not only the main food wasn't good, the desserts were actually worst. Don't even try the ice cream if you dont like eating play dough, or anything that doesnt taste like what its supposed to lol. Even the jello was disappointing! All the pastries were really dry and crumbly. The pouding chomeur was the only enjoyable food i ate. Worst and last of all, the workers and clients were literally coughing without covering there faces OR covering it with there hands and then touching the utensils amd stuff. Trust me i have alot more stuff to say about this place, but i think ive said enough for now lol. One things is for sure, me and my sister are never going there again. (also, restaurants shouldn't have pet fish if they cant take care of them. The fishes genuinely looked sad.)
The price was crazy. 100 for 2 people without drinks. Kids running everywhere and barely any service. Played where tiny and the food was mid.
All you can eat asian food and soft drinks, huge variety of desserts and complimentary coffee at the end. Decent staff and service. Good value for money. Did not like the sushis, rest most of the food items were great.
Excellent service. Great food good quality sushi
Terrible food, expensive. I live right next to it and I'm still never going back.
Buffet style, large choice but all very ordinary, definitely not worth the exaggerated price. Thought it would have been better.
AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! 94$ for 2 people which is way over expensive in my judgment and the food is disgusting. I came home and was sicker than ever. I dont recommend!!!!
We been there the very first day it opened, it was a 5/5 for us, we went a second time for my mother's birthday and we both were sick for a day. I hope they change the cooks or something because we need a buffet in Sherbrooke. Service was good and first time too.
I really wanted this to be good and it just wasn’t. The options of food were limited and not interesting. Flavors were decent, nothing special. The worst part was that everything was overcooked. It was like the chafing dishes were turned up to high and all the food had been sitting in them for a while, getting overcooked. This diminished flavor and gave terrible textures. Desserts were all cold items but seemed to be previously frozen. I think they just took them out of the freezer, let them thaw then served them. The worst part of this is that for such bad food, you have to pay so much to eat here. Needless to say, I won’t be eating here again and I’m going to warn others not to.
Im giving Tommy Wonton almost 5⭐️in everything. All the food selection is great! We ate on a Saturday evening. Arrived at 5pm. We paid 94$ for 2 persons. The cashier said that its already including the tip of 12%. I think its a fair price given a good quality of food. Sushi selection was a bit limited but i am not a big eater so, everything is enough for me. Though I must say that the beef and pork steak isnt tender and we requested for medium rare but still given well done, but thats okay. 😊 we loved all the salad, main course selection, the asian vegetable selection and seafood is the best!!! Dessert and drinks are included too. Coffee and Tea is also unlimited. All the servers are nice, its being cleaned everytime. I hope next time we can try the beer and wine too. Overall its a good experience and we will definitely come back. The price seems fair, and its nearby. We can now save gas since we live nearby the restaurant. Its a good alternative rather driving to Montreal especially during winter. I also wanted to add, maybe they can a little more meat inside the wonton because I remembered eating only the wonton wrapper😅 but overall its great food!
The food and service was good. The staff is very nice and attentive.
The price 48,24$ on a Saturday night is quite expensive, also for a Sunday night 25$ is more reasonable kinda. The food was fine some pasta tasted like fish but anyways overall it was good and warm, the dessert section very but very less choice not a lot to choose from and the service not so well my boyfriend asked for some water it took 40 min for her to come back with some water even though she was roaming around to serve other people before us. The plates are very small not much food could fit in it
For me it was the same as the Continental restaurant that occupied the space prior to this new restaurant opening. Food choices were all the same as before.
I would give 0 star for the food. Disgusting, will never go back and so not worth the money. It costed $96 for 2 adults which includes 12% tip in pricing. You have to pay before eating which I now understand because I would not pay this price for that food. We will never go back, McDonald is better than this buffet.
lot of choices specially crab. paid in advance made line up long
