Staff were really nice and accommodating despite managing the place with our 15 month old daughter. Can be a little tricky with a stroller but doable. Food and coffee were superb. Space is really cool.

Reviews / Ratings for Tommy Café
Tommy Café in Montreal has a great atmosphere and is in a fantastic location. I tried both the matcha latte and a regular latte. The regular latte was good, while the matcha latte could have been a bit better. Overall, the place is beautiful, the vibes are nice, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee.
When paying the bill the gentleman saw I wasn’t leaving a tip and he began giving me a speech about how they earn below the minimum wage and depend on our tips. That was very uncomfortable. And it’s up to me if I want to leave or not. Everything else was perfect, but because of that it ruined the experience.
Delicious breakfast spot and beautiful building
Tommy Café is one of the most aesthetic and cozy cafés in Montreal. The design is stunning—white marble, greenery, and natural light that makes it feel calm yet upscale. It’s perfect for brunch, coffee dates, or getting work done in a beautiful setting. The coffee is consistently good, and the pastries are fresh and well-made. It can get busy, so seating isn’t always easy, but the vibe and atmosphere make it worth the wait.
Really impressive inviting and warm modern decor for a cafe, with funky staggered layered seating that works. I also found the corner stair entrance in a Victorian building charming architecture. I don't usually comment much on decor, but for a cafe atmosphere this location is stand-out. The almond pastry and beef sandwich with side salad were high quality and fresh, as well as a fresh iced mango drink and iced latte. My only nitpick is that I wish they gave nicer cups for the iced drinks. Overall, a memorable cafe and excellent choice.
Window seats, delicious Lox Toast & Co 5+ (and very easy to share) and a Flora Tommy Fizz (Hibiscus, berries, elderflower, chamomile tea, soda and fresh lavender & rose petals). This is a morning must in Old Montreal.
Stumbled upon this gem during f1 weekend 2026. We needed coffee and this sounded nice but not nearly as nice as we expected. Small inside but offer a large personality from the decor to the staff and the food. The food, I order the shakshuka which im familiar with but never tried before. INCREDIBLE 10/10 roasted red pepper sauce was full of flavor and eggs cooked to perfection, only recommendation is order and extra side of toast. My party also tried the Georgia toast AMAZING sweet roasted peaches, tange creamy goat cheese with the sweet heat from the hot honey. The addition of homemade chili oil was a great touch. The drinks SENSATIONAL! Ordered espresso martinis and its hands down the best one I have ever had, strong espresso flavor perfected sweetness with a cinnamon decoration on top added the scent of cinnamon without being overpowering. Finally the staff, during the crazy busy f1 weekend people in and out the staff handled everything very well even with people waiting out the door the kitchen was keeping up and wait times were perfectly reasonable. Aidan was our server and was amazingly kind and helpful throughout our experience.
Delicious food and coffee what a cute place for breakfast!

Gorgeous coffee shop with great coffee and food.
We love this place and cookies
The ambience, vibe, music and most importantly the coffee is absolute 100/10. I was taken of by Clara and John who are just amazing at their jobs and great to talk to. I ended up coming here twice within a couple of hours
Cool layout and good coffee
The café is very cute inside, we enjoyed sitting on the stools and watching the street outside. However the coffee and almond croissant were disappointing.
Very nice place to have a coffee and some food at, nice atmosphere, nice staff definitely worth the visit. Very good coffees!
Nice location for a short break 😏
a lovely spot for a coffee & sweet treat combo. so insanely busy i was worried i wouldnt find a seat whilst waiting in line to order, but luckily for me someone left as i ordered. i wish i ordered a proper meal as every time the staff walked these to guests i felt so envious. drinks were delish.
Stumbled upon Tommy Café during my first trip to Montreal last Saturday afternoon and honestly couldn't have picked a better spot to escape the cold. The latte was some of the best I've had — smooth, not bitter, and the barista clearly knew what they were doing. The space itself has this cozy exposed-brick vibe that made me want to linger way longer than planned. If you're visiting from out of town, do yourself a favour and skip the chain spots — this is the kind of place that makes you wish you lived around the corner.
Loved the coffee, sandwiches, service, friendly staff and ambience!!
The vibe inside was great. I only had a matcha latte with caramel syrup and it was alright, nothing to rave about. I hope to try new menu items next time I’m in the area!
A fabulous location for a Tommy's franchise in Montreal. Housed in a former bank building constructed in the early 20th century, it has architectural panache and is a gathering place for students and others in Old Montreal. Great coffee too, ana within walking distance of the Notre Dame Bassilica.
Food and service is great here! Croissant sandwich was amazing
Cute cafe for people watching and relaxing
Beautiful cafe with loads of comfortable seating options. The service was very kind and accommodating even during busy times. The avocado toasts are delicious and HUGE. Very easily shareable item. The bread they used was soft yet structured with the perfect amount of grill.
