We were very excited to try this restaurant for our mini family vacation. My husband, myself, my son and his family, with his one year old and three year old. We booked early because of the young children. I was never so disappointed in a restaurant as i was here. Firstly, our waitress made us constantly feel like we were annoying her every time we asked her a question. When we asked for any details about items on the menu we were told we had to look at the menu if we wanted details. Our service itself took 3 hours. The food was also very disappointing. Onion soup was like a bowl of cheese with a few spoons of broth. I couldn't eat it. We ordered many different items and were not feeling like any of the dishes were fresh. I'm not sure if maybe they were under staffed, but what a disappointment for a meal that was well over 400$. I'm sad to say, but this was our reality.

Nice restaurant with good food. Everything is a bit over priced though. What made the experience average is that there was a lot of little mistakes from the waitress all along the dinner and all the little attentions required were forgotten. (For example, wrong order for the main course and the waitress looked like it would be complicated to return the plate so we took it, asked for a cake to be cut in half for two kids and wasn't done, wrong beer served...). All that said, it looked like lack of experience not bad intention. I still recommend the place because it must have only been a bad luck streak.

The beet salad was much too sweet; it tasted more like a dessert. Use fewer candied nuts. The beets were cut into small cubes and were pink, not red. The salmon dish was dry and overcooked.

Extremely disappointing experience. We waited over two hours just to receive a kids’ menu, while tables that arrived after us — without children — were served immediately. The lack of organization and fairness was frustrating. To make matters worse, the following day we were told to “just take the kids to KFC,” which was incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. The food was poor, and the manager was rude, with no sense of customer service or basic courtesy. Overall, terrible service and an unacceptable experience — especially for a family with children.

We took a calamari entree, it was extremely dry and stale, it tasted like it had been reheated. Considering the price, it was very disappointing and not worth the money. I took the Oriental chicken salad; it was disappointing because it contained far too much pineapple, which dominated the dish and an absolute unbalanced salad. A more balanced ratio would really improve the dish. The rest of group chose steak, that was good. The restaurant and service were great; however, when you receive such disappointing food-especially at these prices, it significantly impacts the overall experience.

As someone who has stayed at l'estrimont several times and therefore been stuck with few other dining options, I cannot understand the positive reviews. On three occasions over several years this has been amongst the most consistently awful dining experiences I can remember. I have ordered chicken that was delivered so dry that when pressed with a fork merely split into two chunks, and which I had to fill my mouth with water in order to swallow. I have ordered dishes that arrived missing ingredients mentioned on the menu. The oriental chicken salad for example, combined both of these horrors: Dry chicken and missing crispy noodles meaning all that was left were a few sad lettuce leaves and a smattering of Clementine chunks. Last time I just sent the salad back and settled for fries, delivered luke warm, slightly undercooked and drowned in oil. And remember, none of this is cheap there. Avoid at all costs. Drive down the road to a roadside diner. Any diner.

We had a dinner and sunday brunch at the Tomahawk Grill. For the brunch, its NOT as it was before. Plus, they charge double proce on Sunday for the exact same breakfast buffet we had during the week… So be aware. About the dinner, we ordered the Surf & Turf for 2. The food was dry, obviously reheated. Very disappointing meal. I dont recommand the detour. Its more a restaurant when you are trapped to eat at the hotel.
