Rudy was my server and he was so kind and professional. He and the restaurant accommodated for my many allergies perfectly. The food was incredible and absolutely worth the price. Thank you Rudy!

Ordered the rib steak (20oz) because I had an amazing rib steak here years ago. It was not what I remembered it to be. It was too fatty, and the quality of the meat wasn't good compared to the Striploin (the 5 other people I went with all ordered steaks and they all praised how lean the meat was). The garlic mashed potatoes and mushrooms were over salted. I will go back, but would order a smaller steak.

Originally offered a table right at the back when the place was empty. Moved to a more busy area and manger was right over. Service ok happy hour sliders came with a very thin gravy and strange deep fried bit is onion. Chips very nice. Then over charged twice.

When you hear “The Keg,” you expect the steak to be perfect every time, but unfortunately that wasn’t our experience at this branch a few months ago. The steak was cooked incorrectly at first, although I do want to say the waiter handled it very professionally and had it replaced right away. The issue was that we were a big group, and the replacement took such a long time that everyone else had already finished eating by the time our steak arrived. It just didn’t feel right having to start our meal when the rest of the table was already done. Also, the quality of the meat itself was not what we expected from The Keg. Overall, it was a disappointing experience for all of us and I personally wouldn’t go back again.

If you take meat seriously, and like to experiment advanced cabernet, Keg is where you have to take a break in the business rush. The filet, the Côte de Bœuf as well as the mashed potatoes are balanced and well served. Ask for one of the oval tables if you're a small group to add to the friendly atmosphere.

We visited The Keg Steakhouse for my birthday, and it turned out to be a great choice for a special occasion. We shared a mixed platter of meats (often referred to as a “Keg platter”), which included a selection of steak cuts such as prime rib, filet mignon, and sirloin. The meat was delicious — well cooked, tender, and full of flavor. What stood out even more was the service: the staff was extremely friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable. Overall, a very solid steakhouse experience, combining high-quality meat with excellent service. Highly recommended, especially for a special occasion.

Our experience was top notch. Our server was Rudy, and the dining room manager Nigel made a point of ensuring we felt looked after. Everything was absolutely worth the price. We're from out of town, we run a restaurant ourselves, and our expectations are pretty high. We also have allergies and French isn't our first language. We got the steak platter with a couple add ons and a bottle of wine. When I got lost leaving the bathroom, I let Nigel know and he immediately, by looking at me for a split second, knew where I needed to go. That's great customer service. Thanks guys!

My husband and I arrived a bit early for dinner after reading so many great reviews and were really looking forward to our visit. Unfortunately, we left feeling disappointed. The steak was average and didn’t quite live up to our expectations for a steakhouse.

RSVP was easy by phone no hassle. Although they did seat us way back of the restaurant which was odd since the front area had open tables. I asked the hostess to change tables to two open tables and she said they were reserved … although all night they remained empty. I feel the dining tables out front looked very “white” and perhaps they wanted us minorities out of sight? That or perhaps they just didn’t want to bother changing tables . In any case we sat at the bar which reminded me of the old college days lol. Then at the bar a bit more awkwardness , barmaid got our waters but forgot to take our food orders. Her colleague had to step in admitting he wasn’t our waiter. I think perhaps the restaurant service operation wasn’t that fine tuned yet. It was a punkish rebellious type staff haha .., I felt that aggressive demeanor. Food was ok although took a bit of time. The tempo and ambiance was off kilter so maybe good to avoid in future.

I mentioned a dietary restriction to our waiter. After our initial order, he brought out the manager to consult in detail, uncovering an unexpected ingredient in the side I initially chose. This is a level of attention to detail I rarely encounter, and I really appreciate their extra effort to spare me a deeply unpleasant night. Top notch!

Visited The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Place Ville Marie with fairly high expectations and left somewhat underwhelmed. The steak tartare was disappointing. It was overpowered by parsley and the portion was very small. The scallops with bacon were a decent size, but the quality of the scallops did not impress. The rib steak was good. On the positive side, the wine pricing was fair. I ordered a Barolo I know well and it was about double retail plus a small markup, which is reasonable for a restaurant. Service was excellent and easily the highlight of the evening. I would go back, but not in a hurry.

Food is excellent. Service was nice. Delivery of food was slow. Our sauces had a film from drying out. Our steaks were not warm. Still delicious though!
