We tried Sis Boom for dinner on a Friday night. We made a reservation ahead of time, and that helped as it was packed. There was live music and the food was what you would expect for a restaurant that focused on smash burgers. If you spend alot time in Jay, this is another option to add to the on/off mountain dining options available.

Hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. From the moment we were seated, it was clear we were not welcome to relax or enjoy ourselves. We were rushed immediately—pressured to order, hurried through the meal, and made to feel like we were in the way if we didn’t move fast enough. It felt less like a restaurant and more like an assembly line designed to squeeze as much money out of customers as possible. The prices were absolutely outrageous for what was offered. The menu was extremely limited, leaving very few options, and none of them justified the cost. Portions were unimpressive, the food itself was forgettable, and there was nothing remotely “premium” about the experience despite the premium pricing. Paying that much for such a lackluster meal felt insulting. To top it all off, our server was rude, impatient, and dismissive. Simple questions were met with attitude, and we were treated as though we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. There was no warmth, no professionalism, and no effort to provide even basic hospitality. Overall, this place seems far more interested in rushing people in and out and maximizing profit than offering good food or decent service. For the price, the expectations are high—and this restaurant failed on every level. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. Taking bets on whether the manager will reply. Anyone??! Not holding my breath as we live in a world with zero accountability.
