Great staff great food
Great indian restaurant in CDN. Would recommend the dosa. Staff is nice, but they got my order wrong on two consecutive visits, then forgot to remove them from the bill. Other than that great food.
We had a remarkably pleasant time throughout the whole affair. The food selections were incredibly savory, and the people we met were very kind. The service crew was exceptionally warm and welcoming. It was a truly satisfying venture overall, showcasing great value and impressive quality that we appreciated.
Okay food, poor service
Southindian tamil restaurant 😋 😍
I studied three years in Montreal, and never knew about this place! Missed out.. Really authentic south Indian food. Everything we ordered was great. Especially the Chettinad masala dosa! Chettinad masala's aroma was so fresh!! Highly recommended.
Such a quite peaceful environment and the best food i ever eat in montreal also price is so affordable and the service is too Good.. 😋😋😋😊😊😊
The food was overly spicy, even for my family members, who love spicy food. The meat was tough and covered up with lots of sauce. First time in an Indian restaurant where food is left in the serving dishes at the end... The restaurant lacks atmosphere and looks more like a fast food joint with a seating, in my opinion. Would not go back.
Good food, great experience as always! A must visit for South Indian food....
Authentic South Indian food with great service. Plenty of vegetarian options
Amazing restaurant with so many different amazing options. Usually I have just tried North Indian dishes with lots of fat but this time I tried this place and it was so much different and amazing. All the coconut flour in the rice was amazing. And the chutney was also so vibrant and beautiful. I had an amazing time. I will come back for another time with some dinner.
Absolutely loved everything about this restaurant. The atmosphere the decor the service from the staff and the owners are amazing too. They have an incredible selection of food for all palates.. u really can’t go wrong everything is delicious. I recommend this place to everyone
This is easily one of my go to places when I’m in the area. The food is always fresh and full of flavour. For starters I’d recommend the chicken 65. And as a main course the briyani or the dosa chicken manchurian wrap. Or even the masala dosa, which is huge. The owner is always kind
Disappointing visit overall. The service was slow, and the buffet didn’t meet expectations. It started late, some dishes were missing, and the same rice kept being repeated. For $22, the value just isn’t there. The food quality and aroma also seem to have declined. Hoping to see improvements in both service and consistency.
I ordered a masala dosa and was sent a chicken dosa instead. I don’t eat non-vegetarian food, so this completely ruined my meal. This kind of mistake is serious and should not happen. Very disappointed with the lack of care in handling orders.
Beautiful decor in the restaurant. The food is also good. Nice spicy and flavorful dishes. I had 3 with my wife and we both enjoyed our dinner.
Great food
Hmm this place used to be my childhood but now I fear it got whitified :( I used to go here and burn my taste buds and still keep eating because the flavours were so addictive but they just don’t have that vibe anymore. Their dosa wasn’t crispy either and the chicken we ordered had 1 chicken and 1 piece with just bones but the “gravy” was still out of this world. I just wish that it did come with more meat pieces? still good for first time South Asian food tryers tho!
I ordered chicken fried rice and butter chicken. The rice was okay, but the butter chicken tasted very bad. Some of the food was tasty, but some of it was not good. You can try more better guys
I visited from Vancouver on a business trip and tried the killi poratta with chicken lollipop—it instantly reminded me of my hometown, Sivakasi. Amazing service and excellent food quality. This is always my go-to restaurant in Montreal.
Called to ask about vegan options. I started in French and the call was immediately disconnected. When I called again, I was abruptly told “Speak in English,” and my question was answered with a blunt “No.” Not having vegan options is perfectly fine, but the lack of service in French and responding so dismissively shows very poor customer service.
I had ordered Chicken Kothu Parota and Gobi Manchurian, it lacked flavor and it was just below average.
Good spot for dosas or south indian food
We hosted a party at Thanjai Restaurant yesterday with a vegetarian menu, and all our guests truly enjoyed the delicious food. The party hall was perfect for small events, and the staff were very kind and helpful throughout. I highly recommend Thanjai for small celebrations!
