My Pad Thai Chicken was fantastic and impressive. It's so refreshing to have a high-quality Halal restaurant with this variety.
Reviews / Ratings for Thai Panda Gatineau Halal
Hands down best Thai place in all of ottawa Gatineau Amazing service and the quality of food. So fresh. So tasty.
I love this place its halal and very delicious food and authentic great yo go with friends and family I really recommend it 👌
Today was the first time I went here. The food is outstanding. Absolutely fresh and tasty. Great service. And halal!! So you know the meat is clean. Will be back
Love the food here, it’s delicious and comes out hot from the kitchen. The staff here are super nice and awesome. Their service is impeccable. The atmosphere is great with beautiful decoration. I could recommend 100% everything is perfect here
I finally tried Thai Panda Restaurant today with my family and friends after hearing so many great reviews—and it impressed me so much. As a Chinese Muslim who has experienced a wide range of Asian cuisines, I can say the food here feels authentic, yet thoughtfully adapted with a slight twist that really suits my taste. We ordered a mix of both Thai and Chinese dishes, and it was interesting to see how well they balance the two—each dish had its own character while still feeling cohesive. There are layers of flavor in the food—you can tell there’s care in how everything is prepared. The flavors aren’t overly strong or overwhelming; instead, they’re fresh, clean, and nuanced. The portion sizes are very generous as well—definitely great value for what you get. I can’t finish mine. My husband and my teenage kids claimed that they are full. 😂 The atmosphere was a pleasant surprise. It has a slightly French-inspired feel, which makes sense given it’s located in Gatineau, Quebec. The space feels relaxed, simple, and a bit more refined than typical casual Asian or halal restaurant, making the overall dining experience even more enjoyable. Sorry no pictures this time—we jumped in and started eating as soon as the dishes were served!😉 If you appreciate subtle, well-crafted flavors, a comfortable ambiance, and hearty servings, this place is worth a visit. Highly recommended! Location would be my only complaint as I live in Ottawa South. I just wish them could open one on Ottawa side.
Great taste and generous portion sizes.
One of the best Chinese/Asian food I have ever eaten my life. Soooo good! Very friendly staff.
This restaurant serves truly delicious Chinese Halal cuisine. The dishes we tried were fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. A special highlight was the owner, who was exceptionally nice and attentive, creating a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. A great find!
Impeccable service, delicious food and calming atmosphere! I 100% recommend.
It was super nice and it felt comforting and it’s a nice place to study and have a good price for food and it’s amazing service and amazing interior design with a nice atmosphere
Soooo yummy like home made. Highly recommend.
Staff is so nice; it was 8:20pm and they let us dine in even with coming in so late they served us. I didn’t feel rushed at all; thanks again so much for an amazing night panda Thai :) The interior is so cute. The food portions are very big and prices are very fair. The food is good maybe a bit oily but if that’s what makes it taste so good then I can’t really complain haha. Highly recommend the wonton soup; I love the veggies in it. Also honey garlic chicken is super good. The meat they use is really good quality not tough at all. Also veggies used were super fresh. Total came to about 81$ for three mains and two wonton soups. We left very full and satisfied :)
Fresh, fast, and flavorful! I had the Red Curry Shrimp for lunch today, and it was incredible.
Excellent service and great food with a fully halal menu. Would highly recommend their Kung Pao!
Finally I have dinner at Thai Panada Halal, I tried Thai options two different dishes with soup and dumplings. Owner Yang Yang was super polite and welcoming body language. Food was as per my expectation. Need to be hungry when we go there because they brought a lot of food. It is authentic halal food (Thai and Chinese). My next visit with friends very soon. I would recommend to all of you to go and try, it is worth and have a quality time in such cozy sitting/atmosphere. If you are going more then 2 people call and reserve your table the best of save time. Have a quality Thai / chines food there.
Excellent place to spend family time together
Got a chance to discover this little place today after doing the Easter Day hunt. So glad I did. We had the crispy lemon chicken, chicken pad Thai, basilic chicken fried rice and pot stickers. The food is amazing : taste quality and portions. Ambiance is cozy and kids friendly. The staff is so nice and welcoming, plus service is great. Definitely will come back.
Came here today after winning a $20 gift card from an Easter scavenger hunt and I’m so glad I did! The food was so good, I had the lemon chicken and beef with rice and black bean sauce, and everything tasted really fresh and full of flavour. Definitely feels more authentic than typical fast food Thai places. The restaurant is clean and welcoming, and the staff are super friendly and easy to talk to. I’ll definitely be back!
Family style food and service, which is absolutely lovely. Won’t say it as the best service , but very genuine and kind, and lots of smiles, which definitely a plus. The service and food wasn’t fast food style, dishes with aroma, quite a portion. Halal beef tastes different and not easy to find Halal Asian food in the city. The parking is very convenient.
Pad Thai Chicken was perfectly balanced - sweet, tangy, and with just the right amount of crunch from the peanuts. The staff was incredibly friendly too. We'll be back
We used to really enjoy dining here as a family on a weekly basis. However, that changed when the lady with glasses asked me, “What is the reason you don’t give a tip?” It was quite an embarrassing moment for us, and we found her behavior extremely rude. Firstly, every time we visit, she acts as if she has never seen us before. Also, I don’t believe I should be expected to justify why I choose not to give a tip. Tipping should be based on personal choice and the level of service received. Secondly, the food is not inexpensive, especially considering the relatively low cost of ingredients, and the service involves minimal interaction in a quiet environment. Additionally, after collecting all the stamps, being offered only two spring rolls after spending over $300 felt quite insulting. It would have been better not to offer anything at all. I found the act of directly questioning my tipping choice to be disrespectful. I would much rather give that money to those in need who do not even have shelter over their heads. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and do not think I will be returning. Whether she is the owner or not, this kind of behaviour is not good for business.
The basil fried rice is good
Great Red curry shrimp. The curry was rich, creamy, and had a great kick of heat. The shrimp were cooked perfectly.
Tried Thai Panda in Gatineau. Service and food were very good. They took a bit of time as they were busy but ensured we were well. Felt the quality of the food was very good and fresh. The family deals are better since you can save and more for the same price. The quantity is a lot though, thus I would suggest order the family for 4 if you are a family of 5. Enjoy! (FYI - the parking lot has a ticketing system but it is free)
