I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. First, many of the dishes were extremely sweet, which made it difficult for me to eat, and some items did not taste fresh. The sashimi did not seem fresh, and the sushi rice had an unpleasant smell. When we couldn’t finish some food, the staff repeatedly pressured us to eat everything and mentioned their policy in a way that felt uncomfortable. No customer should feel forced or judged for not finishing food, especially when the quality is questionable. At checkout, we left a tip, and the server commented that it was not enough, which I found very unprofessional. Tipping is voluntary, and it should never be commented on. Here is Canada, not US. Overall, the service felt pushy and uncomfortable, and the food quality did not meet expectations. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. Even though the environment of the restaurant is pretty, the customer service is quite terrible.

Food was great, the staff was on the ball! However, at the time of the reservation it would be nice to know that there is a limit of 2 hours, instead of finding it out upon arrival!

The best all you can eat sushi in Montreal. Everything was so delicious and fresh! Also, the waiters were so efficient, attentive, and kind. My friends and I had an incredible experience coming here because of the excellent food and impeccable service. This was not my first time, nor will it be my last. I recommend Takumi Sushi to all!

I made a reservation hours in advance for Valentine’s Day for two people. When we arrived, we were told someone had taken our spot, which makes no sense if we had a reservation. We waited a long time, and although it was busy, the service was very disorganized. Food was being brought randomly to different tables. One table had tons of dishes while others, including us, barely received anything for a while. They gave us 15% off, but I still paid $102 for two people with tip. Paying $42.99 per person+ tax for this kind of service is disappointing. Not worth it, especially for a special occasion.

The quality of the food and service at Takumi never disappoints! We’ve been going for years with our family and will continue to go. Food is always fresh and delicious, the staff is always kind, attentive and quick! Clark and the team do an amazing job and make it so we keep on coming back!

Clark and Kawa provided excellent service—they were attentive, efficient, and very accommodating. They were especially helpful with my allergy (I’m celiac) and checked on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of gluten-free options available. The food was delicious, and I would definitely recommend this place!

First time here. A great experience overall. They have the usual sushi options similar to the other places plus a couple of their own creation sushi. The service is really great and the food quality is very good.

You know a place is good when you stuff your face because of how good it is not to get your moneys worth. And this restaurant has that going for it!! Great food and tea to finish the meal. Ask for Clark Kent if possible

Great sushi with an excellent price to quality ratio. Fresh, well made dishes and a calm, welcoming vibe. A really nice place to enjoy a relaxed meal. Ask for Clark when come in, he will take care of you.

Highly recommend! Really good services by Clark and the fish are fresh! It's one of the place that have mackerel and torch salmon, not every all you can eat sushi have them both!

We’ve been going to takumi sushi regularly for years with our two kids and have always had such kind, attentive, and good service from Clark and the entire staff at Takumi! The food is consistently delicious and fresh!! We will always recommend this restaurant for an all you can eat sushi!

I have been coming to this restaurant for a few years, and it’s always a great experience! (I bring everyone I know to this place 😊) I have been to many AYCE sushi places in Montreal over the years, and Takumi is actually the best. The sushi is sooo fresh, they have a large variety of non-sushi options. The restaurant itself has a warm vibe, and the service is excellent- the staff are so nice!!
