I came here May 30 and I’ve been here at least 7 times before and the food was always great, But this visit today was a complete disaster. Almost everything except a few small dishes was gross. And we are not picky eaters …The beef short ribs tasted spoiled, the fried shrimp was hard and too salty, and even the peanut butter dumplings, which I usually love, were off. The Taiyo salad tasted bitter/ off and the noodles and fried rice had zero flavor. The wonton soup was horrible. The only highlights were a decent mango salad, a good salmon tartare, and the chocolate cake—though I know that was store-bought. The service was fine, quick, and efficient, but for $50 per person—plus tax and tip—my partner and I paid $130, and almost everything was inedible. A normal restaurant would check in with you, offer compensation, or at least ask if things were okay. Here, we got NOTHING . So, despite the decent service, it was a complete waste of money. servers don’t interact with us, since we do the ordering ourselves on the tablet, there’s nobody to ask me if the food was OK, there’s no way for me to mention that the food was not good and maybe get compensation for it this is why I give two stars for the service, but honestly, both my partner and I agreed—this was just terrible. It seems like they downgraded on the quality of the food, a lot of restaurants have done this in order to keep the same prices. Sadly I will not take a chance with this restaurant again.

This used to be my favorite sushi place before they changed the manager and everything became SO JUDGMENTAL AND MEAN. When you don’t want to tip they start to press you and tell you “why no tip? YOU HAVE TO GIVE OUR WORKERS TIPS ITS THEIR ONLY INCOME” tipping culture is ridiculous and on top of that the manager told me “if you don’t tip you shouldn’t go to restaurants anymore if you can’t afford it” which is so mean and judgmental for no damn reason JUST PAY YOUR WORKERS MORE.

This is the worst Sushi we ever had. Tasteless across the board. The only thing that actually tasted something is the salmon sashimi which was good. Otherwise we could barely swallow the food. Nothing was good! 10 points for consistency. Thank god fo the French fries they had on the menu. To top it off, the server that welcomed us started by asking if it’s the first time for us, and went on explaining how to order using the tablet as if we see tablets for the first time in our lives then he ended it with “you don’t eat pork right?”!! Another 10 points for racism. Very smart ;) Educational note: this is not how you great new clients unless you want it to be the first and last visit, which for sure it will be in our case. I think people need to be better trained before doing customer service jobs. All in all, bad experience and very surprised this place got this many high ratings. Maybe it’s just us, people that come on camels 🤦🏻‍♂️

I've been to many all you can eat but this is by far the best one! I do think it is more expensive than the other ayce but 100% recommend it. The quality is actually insane and there's a lot of option as well (and ''exclusive'' item during the weekend). The staff are very friendly. There is usually a wait so I do recommend getting a reservation if you can for sure as if does get crowded.

All their sushi and dishes are fresh and good quality. However, they only bring one or two items at a time, so you have to keep ordering, which can be a bit frustrating!

Tried this sushi spot on a Monday night and it was surprisingly busy. The sushi was good, and their side dishes were just as solid. Their bbq & skewers are fresh off the grill and full of flavor. Service was fast with minimal wait time, which made the whole experience even better. To top it off, their dessert options didn’t disappoint especially the chocolate mousse. Overall, a reliable spot with great variety and efficient service.

My go-to Sushi restaurant. Good friendly service, excellent food with a lot of selections, I go once a month and it's always great. (Sometimes on weekends you end up having to wait a bit for a table even if you have a reservation.)

I am extremely frustrated with my experience with Taiyo Express. I placed a scheduled Uber Eats order at 4:30 PM for delivery between 6:45 and 7:15 PM specifically so everything would be ready on time for Valentine’s Day dinner. By 8:30 PM, the order was still not even ready. When I called the restaurant, I was told they were busy because it’s Valentine’s Day and that I would have to wait a long time. That response is completely unacceptable. Valentine’s Day is not a surprise—it happens on the same date every year. If you know it’s going to be busy, then plan accordingly. Don’t accept scheduled orders hours in advance if you have no intention or ability to prepare them on time. The entire point of scheduling ahead is to avoid exactly this situation. Instead, our evening was completely disrupted with no food, no timeline, and no accountability. This shows a serious lack of organization, planning, and respect for customers’ time. I would not rely on Taiyo Express for any important or time-sensitive order.

Poor experience with this restaurant, there's no space too crowded , no privacy , you literally find yourself eating on the same table with stranger people that's the forst comment, second thing,it's about food itself i ordered different things and a lot of things, let's say about 15 different kinds, literally everything was dry or over fried, it gave me the feeling like there's a desert inside of my mouth, and for the third thing , the service, waiters gave me a feeling like they are in war between them, two girls of them are really doung a good job with a good smile so helpful, but the other two, like they don't want to do anything, and if you ask for something they will just answer you with an angry face , they won't even help you with what you asked for, one of them even assaulted me ,not physically , but in a way like she's robbing me in the street , saying heey the tip is not included in the bill, I've never seen such rudeness. Poorest experience I've ever had in my life.

for the lunch period review -- price is not bad. but theres not that much selection for lunch. no tuna sashimi, lots of fried rolls. when we got near the end, we still had some thing ordered, but the waiter said the kitchen is going to close so to order more now or order ice cream because there will be no ice cream in 5 minutes. We said okay lets just get ice cream and get the bill. alas, ice cream comes, and then 2 mins later an order of sushi arrives we forgot about. but then we stated since we just ate ice cream and the store is closing can you pack it up? he said no, he will charge 5$. But then why give ice cream before it? Youre going to throw it out anyways so why not just give it for the inconvenience... oh well, he just threw out the sushi instead of charging us 5$.

We were a group of 7 with huge orders and our waiter William was the absolute best! He really gave us a wonderful customer experience! Very kind and passionate about his work in making our time there great! Food was delicious!! Highly recommend!!
