I was there yesterday after a door dash shift , and the young man who was working greeted me with biggest smile, i had the mishroom cheese pie as well as the butter chicken pie , the poes were out of this world, the pastry was awesome and its like nothing youve ever had. If you are on parc ave and looking for a very satisfying meat or vege pie, do yourselves a favor and go there. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing experience overall! The service was great and the food was honestly so good. I tried the ricotta option and it was definitely my favorite. The dough is perfectly flaky and hits the spot — everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. I would 100% recommend and will for sure be coming back!

Used to be good. Now it isn’t. New owners replied with a statement defending themselves for poor quality and messed up orders and changes in how things are done is somehow my fault because it was “busy”. Stock Selection is reduced, I can’t get our favourite flavour of Mince Beef, cheese & Bacon. Not “Classic…” I never mentioned the word classic. The gravy HAS changed, it’s thin, simple and brown just like the powered stuff. The original gravy was based off of the pie filling and was thick, slightly grainy from the tomato’s and herbs and was real. They now put all the side dishes in a slop of one pot so the Peas, Mash and Gravy are all mixed up. I’ve never ordered like this. I would always ask for “A Stack” and I would be asked how many and would say “3” and I would get 3 individual small tubs of gravy, 3 of Mash Potatoes and 3 of Mushy Peas. I’ve discovered a better recipe online and will now continue to make a home version of something that used to be a quality treat is no more. Also they stopped doing all the nice UK/OZ/NZ imported snacks and sweets. Sad to see a great business fail under new owners.

Thank you for your review. For clarity, several statements here are factually incorrect and need to be addressed. • A mince beef, cheese & bacon pie has never existed at TA Pies. We have menu records and there are pictures dating back at least 7 years confirming this. What is being referred to as “mince beef” has always been called Classic Beef, a name used since the store opened over 15 years ago. If any item was removed from the menu many years ago by previous management, that decision was made well before the change in ownership and is not the responsibility of current management. Given this, it’s unclear when or where this supposed pie was ordered, as it has not been on our menu for many years — if ever. We continue to offer the established range, have introduced additional flavours, have brought back popular flavours in response to customer requests, and there has been no reduction in stock selection. • The gravy has not changed. It is made the same way it always has been, using the same method we were trained on. It is prepared from scratch based on the pie filling, using real ingredients including tomatoes and herbs. No powdered gravy is used. We also make our broth in-house. It is therefore incorrect to describe the previous gravy as “real” and the current gravy as “not real.” Our gravy is made entirely in-house and reflects the same — or higher — standard of freshness and authenticity. • The “Big Stack” has always been served together in one container. This is how it was sold and how we were taught by the previous owners. We were never informed that individual tubs were standard practice. There are pictures dating at least 3 years ago of how the big stack was served. • The removal of UK/OZ/NZ imported snacks and groceries was a decision made many years ago by previous management. We were advised by previous owners that this range had already been discontinued many years before we took over the store. The business was taken over as it was. It is not fair to blame the new owners for a decision that wasn't theirs. • At no point did we blame a customer. We simply explained that the time of the visit at the store was right after a busy service rush, and some items sold out — which is normal in a fresh, high‑volume food business. • Finally, it is incorrect to suggest that any perceived changes are due to new ownership. The business continues to operate using the same core recipes, methods, and products that customers have known for years. We welcome genuine feedback; however, publishing inaccurate claims can negatively impact a small business and does not provide a fair or truthful representation for other customers relying on reviews. — TA Pies Management

Absolutely delicious! 😋😋😋😋😋 My second visit and just can't wait to go back! Thank you to the nice young man who served us yesterday evening... You're a true gentleman. See you soon 🤩 Fyi, small counter space to eat a pie but mostly for takeout. They have desserts and frozen pies to take home individual or a full size pie. A must try!
