I am reposting this because the owner of the store mentioned another client’s full name, I guess others have had a similar experience but I don’t know why you said I am using a fake account or someone else’s account. This is my account, I am attaching a screenshot of my order to this as well. Review: I was really excited about having gluten free vegan desert. When I went to the store some time ago, I noticed that the people in the kitchen don’t wear hair nets (the kitchen door to the back was open and I saw someone with long hair with their hair down, it was evident that this person was not wearing a hair net.) Recently, I purchased cupcakes and when I got dessert and opened the box, I saw hair on it! I know it couldn’t have been me because I myself was wearing a hair net at the time when I opened the box. It’s really important to wear hair nets for this reason, I really don’t know why they are not following food safety protocols.

I would like to add on to my previous review. First of all, based on the comments that the owner is replying to people's critical/negative reviews, it's pretty evident that shop owner's quality of customer service is poor. Instead of showing empathy and asking to speak with me to resolve any issues, the owner went on to blame me for hair in THEIR cupcakes in their reply to my previous, honest review. I don't even want anything back from the store; I just wanted to let others be informed before wasting their money. When I see defensive replies from store owners that try to shift blame onto customers, it looks unprofessional and bad on the store's part and not the person writing the review. People have better things to do than to falsefy claims of hair in your cupcakes @susiesansglutenlaval. For the record, I have seen people at the shop without hair nets, working at the back when I was at the store 2 years ago. You can't blame customers when in the previous incident with hair, the hair pieces was clearly embedded into the frosting on every single cupcake. It's sad that instead of taking the feedback and working on it; you choose to insult critical feedback and weaken your credibility. PS. I myself have gluten allergies and have a family member with celiac disease. I also bake GF, vegan pastries and I had people who genuinely liked your cupcakes. I was happy that there was a place I could get cupcakes from without having to bake my own. I have every right to leave a review on Google. I don't need to email you to inform you. I would rather let other people learn about my experience and decide if this is somewhere they want to shop. You're honestly so rude and ill-mannered. Not everyone who leaves a 1-star review is after your shop. I think your responses are doing a great job at deterring customers by getting triggered by a 1-star review. It's just feedback. You literally gave me a refund for this issue 2-3 years ago because it was evidently an error on your part. I have nothing against you, you clearly just can't take feedback and keep playing the victim which is unfortunate. Wish you the best!
The experience I've had with Susie Sans Gluten over the last 2 purchases of their vegan, GF cupcakes has been bad. A couple of years back, we ordered chocolate and vanilla GF, vegan cupcakes and there were small pieces of hair in the frosting. It was like cut up pieces of hair which was absolutely gross. We went to the store and they gave us a refund without giving us any trouble which we appreciated (which is why I gave 2 stars for service instead of 1). After almost 2-3 years, we decided to give them a chance through ubereats yesterday and well, there was a long strand of hair embedded in their cupcake and frosting. Absolutely disgusting. This seems to be a recurring food safety issue and they clearly haven't taken the right precautions to prevent this problem. WOULD NOT BUY EVER AGAIN. We like our cupcakes without hair 😬
I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost exactly a year ago, and this shop was literally a lifesaver for me. It made this difficult transition a lot easier and, above all, way more tasty! ☺️ They are always improving and coming up with new recipes. There are the awesome Friday takeouts, and they also recreate items we can’t have, like BeaverTails or fast food classics. Over the last year, everything I’ve bought there has been great, but I especially love the pizza dough, chocolate cupcakes, tortellini, chocolatines, and the new miche bread. I’m really grateful to have this shop not to far when I’m craving a little sweet treats or for pantry staples. 🩷
The best gluten free grocery shop!
Awesome new discovery!
Love this place. All there own products are great and also such a wide variety of other brands not found in other places. Also love their Friday restaurant type menu. Friendly staff. *****5 stars from me!
One of my favorite gluten safe bakeries to visit. I always visit here, leaving with more than I came in for.
Best products ever. Celiac paradise!
Excellent Service love the staff. Pricing is great. Y’all should drop by.I’m
EDIT #2 AFTER OWNER REPLIED FOR THE SECOND TIME!: To clarify: I NEVER GOT A CROISSANT from this shop. I got MUFFINS, WHOOPIE VELOURS and ECLAIRS. THEY TASTED LIKE HUMIDITY. They were sagged down, too soft, with a freezer burn taste as well. I am usually not a person who writes reviews or attacks companies. Nobody is trying to close you down or ruin you. We can’t live life with such victim complex. I wrote this because I spend a good amount of money for a product that was not just bad but made me question the safety aspect of it. Then I saw MULTIPLE (not just one) bad reviews and the replies the customers got and thought your delivery was unhinged. As you mentioned before, gluten free bakeries are hard to find. And that is probably why unfortunately many of your customers have low standards. But trust me: eventually your obsession with not taking accountability and playing the victim will get to your business, mark my words. Original post: I was disappointed with my uber eats order from this place. I didn’t find mold like some others say but it was all saggy, it tasted like freeze burn. Shocking to see other reviews with similar issues and the owner taking 0 accountability. I will stick with Le marquis :) great people and very fresh! I never said I got saggy croissants so you trying to blame them is kinda funny because i got from you SAGGY items and yes the word is saggy: adjective: saggy; comparative adjective: saggier; tending to sink or bulge downward under weight or pressure. This is terrible customer service btw. You trying to be condescending to people who criticize and never taking accountability is only gonna bring you so far. Your items tasted like humidity. Good luck in your personal life cause this very much shows who you are as a person.
Their products are just heavenly, you cannot tell its gluten free! Five stars all the way ❤️
