I am reposting this because the owner of the store mentioned another client’s full name, I guess others have had a similar experience but I don’t know why you said I am using a fake account or someone else’s account. This is my account, I am attaching a screenshot of my order to this as well. Review: I was really excited about having gluten free vegan desert. When I went to the store some time ago, I noticed that the people in the kitchen don’t wear hair nets (the kitchen door to the back was open and I saw someone with long hair with their hair down, it was evident that this person was not wearing a hair net.) Recently, I purchased cupcakes and when I got dessert and opened the box, I saw hair on it! I know it couldn’t have been me because I myself was wearing a hair net at the time when I opened the box. It’s really important to wear hair nets for this reason, I really don’t know why they are not following food safety protocols.

I would like to add on to my previous review. First of all, based on the comments that the owner is replying to people's critical/negative reviews, it's pretty evident that shop owner's quality of customer service is poor. Instead of showing empathy and asking to speak with me to resolve any issues, the owner went on to blame me for hair in THEIR cupcakes in their reply to my previous, honest review. I don't even want anything back from the store; I just wanted to let others be informed before wasting their money. When I see defensive replies from store owners that try to shift blame onto customers, it looks unprofessional and bad on the store's part and not the person writing the review. People have better things to do than to falsefy claims of hair in your cupcakes @susiesansglutenlaval. For the record, I have seen people at the shop without hair nets, working at the back when I was at the store 2 years ago. You can't blame customers when in the previous incident with hair, the hair pieces was clearly embedded into the frosting on every single cupcake. It's sad that instead of taking the feedback and working on it; you choose to insult critical feedback and weaken your credibility. PS. I myself have gluten allergies and have a family member with celiac disease. I also bake GF, vegan pastries and I had people who genuinely liked your cupcakes. I was happy that there was a place I could get cupcakes from without having to bake my own. I have every right to leave a review on Google. I don't need to email you to inform you. I would rather let other people learn about my experience and decide if this is somewhere they want to shop. You're honestly so rude and ill-mannered. Not everyone who leaves a 1-star review is after your shop. I think your responses are doing a great job at deterring customers by getting triggered by a 1-star review. It's just feedback. You literally gave me a refund for this issue 2-3 years ago because it was evidently an error on your part. I have nothing against you, you clearly just can't take feedback and keep playing the victim which is unfortunate. Wish you the best!

#1 Yes I defend my company 100%, staff wears hair nets, and again I will clarify, everyone wears hair nets. And again, clients cannot see the staff in the kitchen as it is not an open kitchen, also teh only way possibly you may see staff is if someone walks by the door and that door is 30 feet away from where the clients are, hair nets are slost invisboble from close, so from 30 feet away unless you are superman, you cannot see if there is a hair net or not. #2 I am quoting your exact words here, so change you review all you want afterwards, but this is copy pasted, "the hair pieces was clearly embedded into the frosting on every single cupcake." So you are saying that ALL 6 cupcakes all had, not 1 but PIECES of hair in every single of the 6 cupcakes? This doesn't sound exaggerated and crazy? like they are pulling out their hair and placing PIECES of hair in every cupcake? They would all be bald by now. lol. #3 Yes I defend my comapny to people who are mean and spiteful. When I get a review from someone who sounds like they may have actually had a less they happy experience I ask they contact me, which I believe they should have done in the first place. If I know who the client is because they were unreasonable and asked for exaggerated compensation for something like a whole cart full of grocery for free, and when we did not give her what she wanted she threatened to give a bad review on google. Would be great if we could google review bad people so no one serves them anymore. Companies should start a client google review page and we ban all unreasonable people from getting served. So yes I will defend. When something that makes sense that may have happened from a normal and reasonable client WHO SENDS US AN EMAIL like a decent person to discuss the issue is always compensated and well taken care of. A 1-star google review and ridiculous accusations of "pieces of hair in every single of the 6 cupcakes" is just over the top. And not just once but now twice. But no one else has complained about hair. Anyways, we have so so many 5 star reviews praising our store, our service and what we do for the Celiac community. Thanking my mom for having made me because I do this for the, its actually heart warming and amazing. Then once in a while we get someone like you. 1-star review and accussations that are so far fetched, clearly the issue isn't us. We get inspections regularly from mutiple depatments of the goverment, and always pass with flying colors. We have no issues, and I cannot do more that hairnets for all staff, like WE ALREADY DO, other than have them shave thir heads, but I think that is excessive. I will continue on concentrating on my gateful and amazing clients and how much happiness what we do brings them :)

The experience I've had with Susie Sans Gluten over the last 2 purchases of their vegan, GF cupcakes has been bad. A couple of years back, we ordered chocolate and vanilla GF, vegan cupcakes and there were small pieces of hair in the frosting. It was like cut up pieces of hair which was absolutely gross. We went to the store and they gave us a refund without giving us any trouble which we appreciated (which is why I gave 2 stars for service instead of 1). After almost 2-3 years, we decided to give them a chance through ubereats yesterday and well, there was a long strand of hair embedded in their cupcake and frosting. Absolutely disgusting. This seems to be a recurring food safety issue and they clearly haven't taken the right precautions to prevent this problem. WOULD NOT BUY EVER AGAIN. We like our cupcakes without hair 😬

Hi there, it’s strange that you seem to be the only client with bar problems. This NEVER happens and now it happens to you twice. I’m the kitchen they wear hairnets and caps. Maybe it’s your hair that fell inside? I mean it COULD happen once with bad luck and I’m not sure what else other than a hair that was in the store where the clients were flies up and ends up on a cupcake. But now twice? And we have no other complaints from hair problems. Just weird that it only happens to you. It’s like getting hit by lightening twice.

I was diagnosed with celiac disease almost exactly a year ago, and this shop was literally a lifesaver for me. It made this difficult transition a lot easier and, above all, way more tasty! ☺️ They are always improving and coming up with new recipes. There are the awesome Friday takeouts, and they also recreate items we can’t have, like BeaverTails or fast food classics. Over the last year, everything I’ve bought there has been great, but I especially love the pizza dough, chocolate cupcakes, tortellini, chocolatines, and the new miche bread. I’m really grateful to have this shop not to far when I’m craving a little sweet treats or for pantry staples. 🩷

One of my favorite gluten safe bakeries to visit. I always visit here, leaving with more than I came in for.

EDIT #2 AFTER OWNER REPLIED FOR THE SECOND TIME!: To clarify: I NEVER GOT A CROISSANT from this shop. I got MUFFINS, WHOOPIE VELOURS and ECLAIRS. THEY TASTED LIKE HUMIDITY. They were sagged down, too soft, with a freezer burn taste as well. I am usually not a person who writes reviews or attacks companies. Nobody is trying to close you down or ruin you. We can’t live life with such victim complex. I wrote this because I spend a good amount of money for a product that was not just bad but made me question the safety aspect of it. Then I saw MULTIPLE (not just one) bad reviews and the replies the customers got and thought your delivery was unhinged. As you mentioned before, gluten free bakeries are hard to find. And that is probably why unfortunately many of your customers have low standards. But trust me: eventually your obsession with not taking accountability and playing the victim will get to your business, mark my words. Original post: I was disappointed with my uber eats order from this place. I didn’t find mold like some others say but it was all saggy, it tasted like freeze burn. Shocking to see other reviews with similar issues and the owner taking 0 accountability. I will stick with Le marquis :) great people and very fresh! I never said I got saggy croissants so you trying to blame them is kinda funny because i got from you SAGGY items and yes the word is saggy: adjective: saggy; comparative adjective: saggier; tending to sink or bulge downward under weight or pressure. This is terrible customer service btw. You trying to be condescending to people who criticize and never taking accountability is only gonna bring you so far. Your items tasted like humidity. Good luck in your personal life cause this very much shows who you are as a person.

Hi There, The croissants we sell are from le Marquis, we get an order from them every 2 weeks becausee we sell them so fast, unless they sell us unfresh croissants, we should not have any freshness or saggy or freezer burn issues. My orders from Le Marquis are made on demande as they do not hold that much stock on hand, so I know that my order is always fresh. We bake them every morning and multiple times a day. The mold issue was a woman who wanted her 60$ grocery bill for free that had nothing to do with mold. I offered to exchange her croissants, made by le Marquis. We are not sure if there was a issue with the stock straight from them, or if the girls that work in front made new ones and and kept piling them on the older ones from the day before and did not change the paper underneith or maybe did not wash the plate like we have them do every day. This happened when we had some part time students, the issue was rectified. So I did take care of the issue but I refuse to give this woman 60$ of free grocery other than the croissants, she was unreasonable and demanding. I offered gladly to exchange her croissants. Also, you can contact us for issues as well, rating us badly would only lead to less and less gluten free places just for a little issue that was clearly beacuse an employee did not do their job that is DEMANDED of them, and did not follow rules. Do you think that I like this happening? It is infuriating when I kill myself to keep all asspects, angle, products, staff, everything under control. You think I tell staff to sell product that isn't fresh? (if that is the issue), and hope no one notices. This is obsurd. Anyways, go to le Marquis for croissants, that is your choice, we had this issue once, and we have a 4.7 stars rating with raving reviews, people adore our place. So if 15 out of 25,000 people don't like us, maybe it isn't so much us, as it is the 15 people. P.S. the word is SOGGY not saggy, btw. And that is the last thing gluten free croissants will be, maybe dry, but never SOGGY. And what is your end goal? To close us down? have less gluten free places, that we already have nothing? All because you didn't like ONE croissant, but never actually visited our store? Most civil people would just contact me so I can rectify the issue, instead of making some dramatic review to try to ruin our reputation, like some personal attack. You realize that even if there was an issue with the croissant from the SAME EXACT place you say they are better from, it's not even my product, you can just email us and we will fix this for you. Just to give you an example....I'm sure you have dated people in your life that would rate you bady if they had the power to rate you and ruin your reputation, but unfortunately that isn't something we do. BUT the world gave people the option to rate business. So people like you read 1 bad review from ONE irrational person, add your opinion and try to ruin our rep. BUT you ignore the hundreds of amazing reviews, for us helping people with Celiac disease like myself, which is why I do what I do. Back to my analogy....if every person would read the bad reviews from one of your past relationships and it would impact your reputation like you are trying to do to us, then you would never have another relationship again. All based on someone's opinion of you which is very relative and questionable. You may actually be a fantastic person and their opinion was not at all accurate, but MAYBE all your past relationship have the same opinion of you, but is it really accurate?? Most likely more than your opinion of my shop, seeing as we have a 4.6 star rating and most describe our place as Celiac Heaven. But today you decided to viciously attack my company, say I take no accountability when you didn't even try to contact me, hid behind your computer and attacked my company for no good reason, other than probably waking up on the wrong side of the bed.
