This is the best Sushi place. It never disappoints, always fresh and the servers are really nice. Special mention of Julia, she’s a great server and honestly makes the Taketa experience even better whenever she’s around.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Taketa — easily a 10/10! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and beautifully set, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing meal. The sushi was incredibly fresh and full of flavor — you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients and put care into every dish. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the presentation was just as impressive as the taste. What truly made our visit stand out was the service. Julia was our server, and she was fantastic! She was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Her recommendations were spot-on, and she genuinely made the experience feel special. If you’re looking for great sushi and outstanding service, I highly recommend Taketa. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a very bad experience at this restaurant yesterday. The service was extremely slow, and the overall organization was very poor. My order arrived incomplete, with many items missing. At the same time, they brought several dishes that I never ordered, and other items I requested came in excessive quantities that made no sense. When it was time to pay, we chose not to leave a tip due to the poor service. Surprisingly, the manager added extra charges to the bill for items we did not order or agree to. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. I felt taken advantage of and very disappointed. Customers should never be charged for items they did not order, regardless of tipping. I do not recommend this place at all unless they seriously improve their service, accuracy, and honesty.

It is the best all-you-can-eat sushi spot in Montreal. The service is great, and the sushi is excellent. I especially enjoy coming on weekends because there’s more variety!

I had a reservation for 7 at 7PM and despite the supper rush hour, the service and food was 10/10. This is my ultimate favourite AYCE ◡̈ (food, service and atmosphere 10/10) Highly recommended!

Very poor service. They had two large tables which the servers dedicated their full attention to and our table was left waiting. We received less than half of what we ordered, my vegan friend had only a few pieces of tofu and was still expected to pay full price. Even after we mentioned it multiple times by the time the bill came the manager was not very willing to compromise. This was the only all you can eat place I’ve ever left still hungry.

Food is acceptable, but avoid late hours near closing. Watch your bill, pricing is inconsistent and deceiving. Watch whatever is dropped on your table. They tend to dump orders that others might have refused, and looks like you pay extra fees for not consuming the food.

I have been here a handful of times and I always enjoy my dinner. I love their torched sashimi, everything else is pretty good too and there is a good variety. The restaurant is clean and has a nice layout. They have good options on the drink list. Service is good, although sometimes it can be hard to get their attention when it's busy. Overall one of my favorite AYCE sushi spot. Parking is a plus.

Very disappointed. Hostess was not very nice so right off, bad vibe. The food was very blah. Everything had this weird purple rice in it. It was very heavy and unpleasant. This place used to be good but it has gone down now. Not recommend at all.

I had a very disappointing experience with this restaurant. Before coming, I called three different times to make sure there was a reservation for two people because the restaurant is very far from where I live (about 1 hour and 30 minutes away). I specifically asked if there was space available, and each time I was told yes. However, when we arrived, the staff told me there was no reservation under my name. When I explained that I had called earlier, the only explanation I received was, “Oh, it’s because you made the reservation today.” That excuse does not make sense to me. If someone calls a restaurant and asks if there is space and is told yes, they should not arrive and then be told there is no reservation and that they must wait 30 to 60 minutes. We came all this way because we really wanted to try this restaurant, and it was extremely disappointing to be treated this way. The staff were not helpful and did not try to accommodate us or solve the issue. I have never experienced something like this at a restaurant before. Overall, this was a very frustrating and disappointing experience.

We made a last-minute reservation for Sunday at 5:00 pm for 6 people, and it was my first time at Taketa Sushi. Everything was amazing! The food was very fresh and delicious — I can definitely say this is now my new favorite sushi spot. The service was also very fast and friendly. I would highly recommend it!
