We stumbled on this restaurant during our journey in eastern Canada. One of the best sushi restaurants that we have been to including US restaurants! Very close to authentic Japan sushi with presentation and combinations of ingredients to enhance the beautiful fresh fish arrays!

My partner and I had an amazing dinner last night . The quality of the sushi is outstanding and it shines through with every dish. Our top bite was the scallop topped with foie gras a must but leave for your last bite. Other musts are the Ora salmon sashimi and for sure the o-toro sashimi topped with caviar. Outstanding. The restaurant had a cool vibe but what pulled the whole night together was our server Ray he was very knowledgeable and passionate . Thank you for a great evening we will definitely be back next time in Montreal.

4th Time Being here and now showing this place to somebody special. Been here for a while and many times my go to place, love the bliefin tuna roll. She isn't much a sushi place but loved this place more then any place she went to toronto. Hidden Fish from the ambience to the team behind it to the sushi. Everything was done in correlations and truly amazing. First time trying Bluefin Tuna in a sushi which is categorized as one of the most expensive tuna and it was truly amazing and blessed with the caviar on top. All the rolls recommended by the waiter there were really good. I came here a second time and tried more things out of the menu, this place truly keeps a special place in my heart absolutely a must in Montreal.

Our go to place for sushi ! Food and presentation always fabulous. We always sit at the sushi bar and love the chefs (. They could use some purse hooks at the bar) Great place for a special occasion. They are great with gluten free

Hidden Fish was honestly unreal. I brought a date there and it ended up being one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. The place has a really nice atmosphere, dim lighting, good music, relaxed vibe. Feels upscale without trying too hard or being snobby. The sushi was next level. Everything tasted insanely fresh and you can tell there’s a lot of care put into the food. The fish quality was ridiculous, the rice was perfect, and even the presentation was clean without being over the top. We tried a bunch of different rolls, sashimi, and appetizers and there genuinely wasn’t a single thing that disappointed. In my honest opinion, it’s probably the closest thing to eating sushi in Japan without sitting through a 12-hour flight. That’s how good it was. Service was amazing too. Staff were super friendly, knew the menu well, gave solid recommendations, and never made us feel rushed. The timing between dishes was perfect and the whole night just flowed naturally. Me and my date both left saying we’d definitely come back. If you want a place that actually feels special for a date night while still being comfortable and relaxed, Hidden Fish absolutely delivers.

Need to mention that the service is absolutely the best! The team is super friendly and very welcoming! They explain every detail and take their time! The food is also great but the service is on another level! Keep it up! Found it a bit expensive though!

The sushi here is fantastic! Amazing presentation, amazing flavor, and you can get aged kanpachi which is one of my faves. Even though I typically just get nigiri and sashimi, we did try one of their rolls and it was also of amazing quality. However the atmosphere is not at all what we're used to in Japan and California--it's a weird mashup of European formal and Japanese. The lighting is dark and the atmosphere quiet. Sitting at the sushi bar is NOT like what sitting at the sushi bar is supposed to be. There is no interaction with the sushi chefs, even though they are right there. And we had to order from a waiter by the nature of sitting at the sushi bar, stood behind us--which makes for an odd, detached experience. All that said, it is the best nigiri and sashimi I've been able to find in Montreal so far.

Best sushi I’ve ever had, no contest. Honestly, I didn’t even realize what real sushi could taste like until this dinner. I went in telling our server, Ray, that I’m not usually a fan of raw fish, and he completely changed my perspective. He explained how they dry-age their fish to deepen and enhance the flavor, and wow… every single bite was an adventure. I’ve never experienced anything like it. Everything we tried was incredible and absolutely worth every penny. You won’t find sushi like this anywhere, unless maybe you’re in Japan. Ray made the whole night unforgettable. He guided us through the menu perfectly, was so warm and welcoming, and shared stories from his travels exploring sushi around the world. Our glasses were never empty, the food came out quickly, and he checked in just the right amount. This place has officially ruined all other sushi spots for me forever. My husband and I came here to celebrate his 40th birthday. Our server, Mila, was wonderful is helping guide us through the menu, pouring our drinks, offering suggestions, and taking away our plates before our next dish came out. This is the best sushi we have had by far. The freshness of each plate combined with the vegetables to enhance the sauces, the glazes, or to help cleanse the palate; the plating was gorgeous. If you ever want to have great sushi and splurge for a special occasion, Hidden Fish is a great option. We'll be returning again.

Amazing experience, the service was amazing. Our server and bartender were knowledgeable and attentive and great to chat with. I had the aged premium chefs choice sashimi and the chefs choice nigiri; along with a few of the premium nigiri options. Well worth the price tag, an overall exceptional experience all around. I’m a huge cocktail and sushi enthusiast; The bartender explained some of his signature cocktails and i was very pleased by the drinks provided, they were creative and delicious. Our server was helpful giving us ideas of places to explore in the city and was very friendly. The fish quality and freshness, presentation, timing of plates and courses, and atmosphere left nothing to be desired!
