Atmosphere was great. Food is really not anything special.

Stopped here for lunch and was blown away. The prix fixe menu was amazing value - would highly recommend. The food was all hearty and delicious - as one would expect. The dill pickle soup was a fun surprise and the menu debutant and stroganoff were both top notch picks. My highlight was dessert - the peach crumble with fresh cream was absolutely amazing. The real special thing here is the ambiance though. The dim lights, wooden benches, and the pianist playing really elevated the experience. Everyone moving through the space was absolutely struck by how great it was. Make sure to bring some cash to tip them!
Cozy, pleasant, warm atmosphere with interesting decor, great service. Marcos was very friendly and helpful. We went twice since we enjoyed it so much and he remembered us which was sweet. As a second generation polish/ukranian I found all the food very similar to my grandparents and very satisfying. I recommend the variety plate (debutant) to try everything. The borscht is more of a light and bright special occasion version than a hearty stew which was nice to see - I haven't seen that in a restaurant before. Great area too.
Great experience and helpful staff! Fun atmosphere that caters to locals and also visitors.
Nice atmosphere and authentic polish food :) Recommended by my polish colleague !
One of my most favorite local restaurants in Montreal, located right in the old port. It is the first Polish food that I tried and I was super impressed. The atmosphere is cozy and amazingly friendly, the food was delicious and portion is well proportional to the prices. Wether you're a local Montrealers or tourist, this place definitely will be worth checking out.
I did not have high expectations for polish food prior to going here - but the taste - we got the Debutant plate and golabki - and service (Marcos was very friendly and attentive) were incredible. Liked it well enough to go twice in 3 days!
Just went there with my friends. Honostly the experience was great, the ambiance was amazing and I loved the theme. Also, our server Laura was very helpful and knew the menu well. Great experience overall 👌
The most wonderful local restaurant in the Old Port!! Fresh ingredients cooked into delicious dishes of a great variety. Friendly service, a warm, cozy tune is often played from the piano, making the atmosphere even more comforting. All the dishes we ordered were incredibly delicious and memorable.
Thank you for worst service possible. As from “We would need this table in a hour” to endless waiting time at the “table they will need”. Staff not doing anything , looking at each other or phone. I’d like to give advice to the staff members to service more positive than side eyeing every table. We caught a waiter squinting at customers while taking an order and we were like.. wow. Famous borscht without any meat and with vinegar taste, with this recipe Cafe automatically can consider removing this dish from menu. If you’re gonna tell me that it’s “beet broth” maybe don’t call it a borscht.
Great vibe, delicious food and fair prices for Montreal
I went to this restaurant for lunch in Montreal thinking it was just a normal restaurant but the food was absolutely amazing and delicious the atmosphere was nice too I liked the lights and the piano players who was playing beautifully the only thing I did not like was the wait for the food to come but for the quality it was worth it
Delicious Polish food. Had the pierogis and kielbasa and both were excellent. The apple cobbler dessert was also very nice! They have a solid cocktail list as well!

The food at Stash Café was delicious with great sized portions that kept you full! We ordered the zurek, debutant, strogonow, croustade, and a latte. I highly recommend getting a reservation if you’re going on a Friday or Saturday as there can be a long wait, but it’s totally worth it.
A perfect find on a snowy evening. The live pianist was great. The barszcz was a great start to warm up, the pierogi and golabki were both excellent, and we finished with the krokiety crepes — a great closer to a really satisfying meal. Honest Polish cooking at a fair price. We’ll definitely be back.
A staple in the Old Port, the best (and only) Polish restaurant in Montreal. Every meal is like homemade, you will not be disappointed!
We loved the Stash Cafe! The food was so great. We had the side salad, potato pancakes and perogies. I also tried my first Polish beer. The live piano music enhanced the experience. I would definitely recommend it!
Food is excellent. Service was a bit slow but it was rush hour so its nothing out of the ordinary. Ambiance is very good thanks to their amazing pianist.
Great place for lunch with live music. We had a great time. Each of the dishes were very flavorful and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the dessert crepe with cheese filling served with fresh and tangy raspberry coulie and creamy vanilla sauce
I was disapointed by the Borsht Soup. I visited lots of Ex Soviet countries.Kazkstan, uzbekistan, poland, etc but Borsht is supposed to not be just Liquid. Patatos, cabbage or beets are supposed to be inside.... Please remove your soup form the menu. Thanks
I've come here a few times and I loved it every time. The food is delicious, especially the nalesniki and the barszcz. The ambiance is lovely, the live piano player is great.
Cosy spot with the best perogies ever…
The best dinner. In an environment that blends the new with the old, accompanied by the sounds of a wonderful piano, and with 1000 stars service from GUILHERME. Unmissable! One of the best restaurants that you can find in Old Port- Montreal.
My husband and I are traveling from the US and absolutely made a beeline for this place. We were not disappointed! One of the BEST meals of my life. Incredible wait staff, atmosphere, beverages, location. Just everything was perfect. I'm going to be dreaming about this place for a long time!
