We are sitting here for two hours already and we still didn't get our food that we ordered an hour and a half ago...
Reviews / Ratings for SoCal Kitchen
The first time I visited Mont-Tremblant was at the beginning of February. We decided to dine at SoCal, I ordered the nacho platter and a Shirley temple. Half way through the nachos I bit down on something hard on my front tooth. I immediately had a sinking feeling in my stomach… a piece of the enamel on my tooth chipped off. We waited for the waitress to come by so we could tell her what happened. I assumed because my tooth CHIPPED they would at least remove the nachos from the bill, they did NOT. (French is not my first language so there was an definite language barrier between us and the waitress) Instead they took the nachos to the kitchen and said they would have the staff “look at the nachos to determine what chipped my tooth”. Needless to say, the attentiveness from the server was very poor. Next year when we visit again, we will be skipping SoCal when we dine out.
Better oysters than Lucille’s and cheaper!!
Delicious spot to dine here in Tremblant village. I got the sweet potato gnocchi and as an avid gnocchi lover I would rate it 8/10. My friend got a poke bowl which also looked delicious. Very well presented. Would recommend for some healthy fresh food!
While the staff seemed very nice, if this is the only restaurant in the village that has open reservations, there is a reason for that. We ordered the steak and gnocchi and received 5 cut up bite sized pieces of steak and some of the worst pasta we have ever had.
Top tier tuna poke bowl
The food was great, but the service was shocking. Everything took a very long time to come out, and by the time our waitress had taken away our dishes from the main course, she vanished. We were fully intending on ordering dessert, but she never asked us if we wanted to see the menu. After waiting for 20 minutes, I eventually decided to go for a walk around the restaurant, only to discover that she was washing dishes at the bar rather than checking up on us. If I have to ask you how I can spend money at your establishment, that's a problem. Also, the music is very inappropriate for what's supposed to be a sit-down, family oriented restaurant. Lots of more energetic club music with swear words was played throughout our meal. Really didn't fit the vibe and was offputting. You can do MUCH better than this place.
Really nice chill restaurant. Food was pretty good! It was VERY quiet when we came (nobody else around), but the food was good. Would recommend and return for a solid, not very noteworthy meal.
Imagine being back in school in the 1930s sitting on one of the most uncomfortable seats made then be put in the loudest room on earth. Thats half of what makes SoCal kitchen so horrible, and what’s worse I can’t even say the second half because after 2 hours waiting no food has been giving. If you want to be as uncomfortable as possible and want to watch people eat food first after coming in an hour later than you go to SoCal.
Burger patties is overcooked. Poke is very tasty.
This place SLAPS. Butternut Squash Gnocchi dish rules. Country music is... A choice, but overall this was one of the best spots we hit up in the village.
