Always a good time going to Pete's and seeing live music. Food is awesome just a little pricy now for what it is. That's the only thing I could eat out at a fancy restaurant for the same price as Pete's. I suggest buying the family combo meal that way you can make the sandwiches at home for a bit of a better price.

I've been going here for nearly 30 years now and I never walked away dissatisfied. Pete's smoked meat is reason alone, but the people who work there and the atmosphere put it over the top. Smoked Meat Pete is a landmark and well represents Montreal's unique smoked meat tradition. "You can't beat Pete's meat," and his fries are damn good too!

Im rarely this impressed with service, with food, and ambiance. I thoroughly enjoyed the smoked meat and the band that was playing. Our waiter, Eric, I think, was extremely polite and despite his humble beginnings was fantastic!

We had an amazing experience! The team accommodated our group of 50 people on very short notice, and everything exceeded expectations. The service was organized, friendly, and efficient, and the food was absolutely delicious. Managing a group this size isn’t easy, but they handled it seamlessly and made everyone feel well taken care of. Huge thank you to the staff for going above and beyond.

Not a large place, but you can usually get a seat. GREAT, GREAT Smoked Meat and other deli/grilled fair. The place is a local legend for a reason. Worth noting that for dine-in, you order at the counter, find a seat, and they call your name to find you in the dining room with your order.

I was very pleased with the food. I was surprised to find a smoked meat that I actually like more than what I generally find in Montreal, like Swartz's for example. However there's a little bit too much pepper in my opinion. I guess next time I'll see if I can ask for less.

Amazing smoked meat! Hidden gem for delicious Montreal smoked meat. Be prepared for a wait though. We waited for 30minutes on a Friday afternoon. The restaurant is also very crowded so it would be tough to eat with lots of kids or a group of over 6 people.

I brought my cousin from out of town here to have some promised good Montreal smoked meat. We opted to come here because it is a historic place for good smoked meat and it's closer than downtown. The prices we're reasonable, the fries are amazing, the smoked meat good but the portion seems smaller than expected and mine had too much fatty meat...which made me wonder why I wasn't asked what cut of meat I prefer? Maybe it's my fault that I forgot to ask or maybe you don't have a choice on what you get 🤷 Too bad because otherwise it was a nice venue if you like reminiscing and going back in time 😊 This is the perfect experience for an original Quebec highway casse-croute/pataterie and smoked meat venue to bring people from out of town, and also for the locals! Note that you must order and pay first and then pick a table where they will serve you the food. I will go back and try to get a lean cut next time!
