Very good smoked meat and the fries are decent, but the price is absolutely ridiculous!! It cost me for two plates and two drinks almost 100 bucks!! I will never go back there ever again!

The atmosphere would have been great if I could hear my partner speak. It was a Tuesday lunch time. Twice we asked to have the music turned down. Twice the waitresses indicated that their boss did not allow them to do so. One of the girls turned it down a little anyway and the boss came back in and turned it up. This is a message for the boss “read the crowd”. There were maybe 15 people having lunch, most were over 60 and were there to have lunch and discuss. No one wants to yell at their partner while having lunch. I would also note that we were NOT the only table that complained. There were 3 of us and another table of 4 wanted the music turned down. That’s almost 50% of patrons….. get the drift?

To the kind blonde woman working at the cash; thank you for making the evening feel so special. My pregnant fiancé absolutely loved the steak meal and the boys and I had a great time drinking beer listening to blues and eating smoke meat ! I hadn’t been back in many years and was welcomed with kindness. Again thank you so much for, it meant a lot !

We hadn't been for awhile so I was looking forward to going. I ordered a smoke meat sandwich, medium fat with fries. I got a medium. Instead which I didn't find very tasty and it was dry. Tables are real crammed in without much space to pass through.

Every local know this is the best smoked meat in Montreal 🔥 the staff is the sweetest and the vibe is 10/10, the food is delicious (my mom loved the liver and she doesn’t even like that stuff usually haha)

The smoked meat was great - it's a shame about the bread, though. For $26, one would hope for a better quality rye bread (or a pickle to accompany the sandwich 😅). Would've given 5 stars if it weren't for that 🤷🏻‍♀️ Poutine was good too - no complaints there. The service was friendly and the band was FANTASTIC (it made for a lively atmosphere!)

The good: I tried their Smoked Meat/Brisket and it was great. It melted in your mouth. The atmosphere was also great with live music. Staff friendly and helpful. The bad: Their appetizer/starter pork ribs seemed dry. Although I ordered this to go, I ate it right away, and the pork ribs were room temperature and fries were not hot or crispy.

Run down, bathroom sink was blocked, smoked meat was dry, over priced and genuinely not worth the hype. I used to love this place, but unlike the water in the men's bathroom, it's gone down the drain.

Amazing quality of smoke meat. Wish the bread was a bit better as it was a bit dry and small, and just seemed to lack the quality of the meat. Other than that, what an institution this place is.
