Over priced and unpalatable “banh mi”. Even authentic asian restaurants do not charge $16 for a banh mi. Save your money. Not worth it.

I was looking forward to this place opening but to be honest it's pretty lackluster. Their base sauce that they put on the bahn mi and on the bowls doesn't really work. It's too sweet. The gojujang sauce is also pretty sweet without any heat even though there's three chilies next to it. I tried a few other sauces and they really don't appeal to me. A traditional Bahn mi has pork pate which really gives a lot more dimension, texture and flavor. I'm assuming it's because every restaurant now is halal so they're omitting an ingredient like that. The baguette they use is way too big and dense, you get a lot of really plain bites of bread. They don't really fill them up that much so you're mostly eating a big baguette. It's just a really dry sandwich that is made to be worse by the sauces because they don't really go well with that flavor combination. The bowls are fine and you get a decent amount of food for your money. My issue are the sauces. Poulet rouge is a better option in terms of flavor and they also give you a ton of food. The proteins don't really have much flavor to it and they put a ton of sauce but I feel like that is counterintuitive because it ends up being less healthy even though this is supposed to be a healthy place. Overall it's not a bad place but it's just so hard to get a good Bahn mi in this area of downtown.

Really enjoyed the Bahn Mi but I expected grilled pork and it was a shredded pork. It was still delicious though!

The food is average at best. The seatings are fine. Service was fine. Chicken needs to be warmed up prior to be given but was cold. The flavours associated with the food just don’t have any impact. It’s basically a run me down poulet rouge. Good if you’re looking for something quick. The chicken though was very much lacking flavour.

Congratulations on opening this store and I’m wishing you a lot of success. I also noticed that the meal was served a bit cold.. I don’t necessarily enjoy the cool taste, this feels like it would taste a lot better as a warm meal. Me personally I felt the mango slices were a bit too large and overpowered the meal. I’m looking forward to trying the banh mi and getting points on my points card !!
