The food was great, the service very disappointing. Half the table was halfway done eating before the other half got their food, no mention of delays from the waiting staff and had to remind the waiter I ordered a drink that took forever to come. I would have given this place a 5 if it wasn't for that.

Reserved for our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, 10/10. However our waiter made a comment about how he doesn’t speak English. He spoke very low, could barely hear him. 4/5 items came all at once and with the small tables, it barely fit. The ramen came way later, it was a big gap from all the other food. Once we got our ramen we never saw our waiter again. He was busy chatting with the table behind us. We were not offered a dessert menu. We had to call over another waiter (who was very pleasant) so we could pay the bill and leave. We waited for a long time trying to get our waiters attention with no success.

Visited the place for lunch. It was a nice experience. We ordered a few items including the Ube iced Lattee, Karaage, Fluffy Omlette Pancake, Porc Katsu Sando, and their Shoyu Duck Ramen. The Karaage was smaller sized with a bit too much flour coating rather than light and flakey, but the portion itself was a good size. Would not recommend personally. The fluffy Omlette Pancake was exactly as expected, great to taste but very heavy to eat, felt a bit sluggish afterwards. Delicious nonetheless, though I would share this with another person or 3 people. Great flavors and well done. The Porc Katsu Sando was one of the favorites. Light, fluffy toast, porc was a bit dry, and heavy of the sauce (too much for our liking). But this dish was nicely crafted and I would order again with less sauce. The Shoyu Duck Ramen, now this was the "piece de resistance", I can only describe it as having a cool spring breeze pass through while taking in the scenery of budding flowers and just the still beauty of life itself. Having tasted this, I would recommend it to everyone. Easily the best dish served that afternoon. The broth was flavorful, light, and not overbearing, the noodles were excellent and thing, and the duck was perfectly tender, every single bite.

Today was my second time at Shushuto and they did not miss (again). The food, the ambiance , the service : Amazing ! I highly recommend the Creamy Udon with chicken Katsu for first timers, it’s my favorite. Will definitely come back!✨

Great food and great service. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall experience was excellent. The food was delicious and well worth the visit. The only downsides were that parking was a bit difficult to find, and it took about 15 minutes to receive the bill at the end of the meal. Other than that, everything was great.

There’s just one thing that isn’t right about the food and it’s the meat. I love me some good meat. The meat here is the only thing that isn’t good, they don’t even put salt, like come on that’s the bare minimum :( and it’s so hard and chewy to eat (specially the steak and katsu). Very flavorless, bring salt if you come. If you get thick noodles they might come cold and hard. Positive is that the broth is absolutely delicious, so I guess it makes up for the other mediocredy. The drinks are also good.

Let me de- influence you. I went to this place following a ton of amazing tik tok reviews and was so disappointed. My ramen really felt like ingredients tossed together with no connecting flavour. A very rushed at home meal. The noodles were really not good- sorta hard spaghetti-style and not the soft ramen noodles. I ate the veggies and some tofu and left this oversized mess of bad/hard noodles. I specifically pointed to a smaller well put together saucy bowl and said that’s the size I would like and I was brought a massive bowl that just felt cheap and not a real meal. The place had just opened and almost no one was there. I had asked to seat by the window but because I was alone they sat me at the bar and insisted that every single seat was booked. It was not at all. No one cane to check on my meal until I left. I feel like they have solicited influencers for tik tok but the actual food served daily and the service is lack lustre in real life. I asked for a matcha with cold foam and they couldn’t make it because that was a brunch item. If they were slammed or special machinery is required - I get it. It was really slow with a lot of staff and I make cold foam at home it’s not difficult. No need for specialized machines that require prep. There are soooo many good places in Montreal to eat - this is one to avoid. I actually went elsewhere after to grab a small bite as I left hungry

What a gem. Amazing food. Their Shushuto tartar was amazing, fresh with a great mix of textures and flavors. Duo Beef Tsukemen is a well balanced but so flavorful dish. It's what I had the first time and couldn't resist having it again She has the udon carbonara and it was rich and velvety and again packed with flavor. The udon noodles was a great twist to regular carbonara 2nd time over there and this is fast becoming one of my favorite restaurants in Montréal!

Lovely brunch place! We tried their ube menu - ube matcha was good but lacks matcha flavor. Ube cream was really good though! Pain à dore was amazing and ramen was full of flavor!

Amazing experience at Shushuto Bar à Ramen + Tapas for Mother’s Day brunch! Our group of 7 had a wonderful time. The French toast with the omelette was absolutely exquisite, the mocktails were refreshing, and the service was impeccable from start to finish. Highly recommend for a fun and memorable brunch spot! 💐🥂

i had noodles with duck confit and it was good, but not exceptional. service was indifferent. price was high for what is on the plate. noise level on a Thursday night was loud and the music unpleasant but "hip". the restaurant restaurant occupies the site of Magnan, but has been renovated and is unrecognizeable.

Went to Shushuto today after seeing some content on Instagram and TikTok. The place is easy to access, close to Charlevoix station. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff provides good service (at one point they forgot to bring the mayo and ketchup, but no big deal). The food was tasty and the portions were a good size. We ordered the chicken katsu sando and the French toast with pork and a soft egg yolk — both were really good. The dessert French toast was also good, although the flavor felt a bit generic. My only small complaint: the orange juice is tiny. I honestly felt bad for my friend who ordered it 😅 Overall, I recommend it!

Have a whole plant based/vegan menu. Had this pizza which wasn't really a pizza BUT it was better than one. I don't even know how to describe, wish I took a picture, but it was phenomenal. So were the Udon noodles with mushrooms. Both so yummy and very affordable!

The atmosphere is cozy and stylish, perfect for a chill night out. Food was ok but though a bit on the pricey side for what you get. Overall, a nice place to hang with friends if you don’t mind spending a little extra.

Food was so so good even though I eas really hoping for soufflé pancakes, but the menu had changed. Would go back to try all the things. Service was very odd with server joking about how many questions I was asking, but would have thought he’d be happy to explain since it was the first time there.

Food was fine. Good value for the area. Very Westernized take on Japanese sandos/ramen. Service could have been better. 2/6 orders kept being forgotten about the entire meal, with ZERO apology or measure to make up for the length of the wait.

Tried it out for the breakfast menu and it was pretty good. Had the omelet as well as the original pain doré. The omelet is a bit weird but good and the original was delicious. Ube latte was really good
