Staff were really nice and welcoming, which I appreciated. The pasta, though, wasn’t anything special and was a bit too oily. The pesto tasted more like a ready-made sauce than something fresh, so that was a bit disappointing.

Pasta was nice enough not really exceptional. As others have said I think it’s more suitable for a lunch if you’re in the area and hungry, but wouldn’t go out of my way to go there for dinner. Weird vibe and felt a bit uncomfortable there but not exactly sure why. Staff not very friendly and didn’t know answers to basic questions. Spotify or the radio was playing with a lot of ads, and decor felt a bit cheap. Would go again if in the area but think there could be improvements made.

We were group three friends and we ordered Chicken Rose pasta, Pesto and Shnoopa’s spl. Truffle oil penne pasta. They all tasted amazing!

Shnoopa is a solid dining experience. Here is what I liked: -the portion size -the sauces Here's what didn't work for me: -only rigatoni, penne and spaghetti on the menu -NOTHING else on the menu. No salad, no apps, no dessert -ambience is very condo-like -no wine, no liquor license so I drank san pellegrino Sort of disappointing but would be fine if you are in the mood for pasta for a quick bite at lunchtime.

Came here for date night on a Saturday at 5:30pm and it was not busy at all so I don’t think it’s necessary to have a reservation (although we did have one). Food was tasty, fresh and was at a good price point. Most pasta dishes are $20 or less unless you add a protein for $6-7. We were hoping for a more romantic and private atmosphere, unfortunately this place was pretty open, bright, gave off cafe vibes and we were seated right beside the only other people in the place. The host that seated us and the waitress that served us both seemed to have a difficult time remembering that we spoke English rather than French and didn’t have an easy time speaking with us which didn’t make us feel very welcome or comfortable. Food came out very quickly and tasted good. Music was quite loud and ads played a couple times. Overall we won’t be making the drive from Ottawa again to dine here as there are better pasta places closer to home with a nicer, more welcoming atmosphere.

I had the "crème de champignons" with shrimps, its was amazing. Big portions for a great price. If you're craving pasta, this is the place to go.

It's good pasta at a decent price. Nice place and good service. I don't really get though why this place is sooo popular. They've clearly done a good job trending on social media and gaining traction. But IMO it does not live up to the hype. You don't even get bread with the pasta and there's no desserts on the menu. The signature dish is good but nothing wow worthy. Mildly flavoured. The pesto dish lacked flavour. The sirloin sandwich was actually quite sad. If I was hungry in the area I might pop in but wouldn't intentionally go back.

I loved !! We went there a few months ago and met the owner. He was incredibly nice! Saw a comment that said the decor is odd, but I disagree, the decor is very charming, and at night it has dimmed light, very cozy! I loved the shnoopa pasta and shnoopi sandwich!

Food was amazing! Very flavourful and I’m already craving it again the next day. We ordered the shnoopa pasta and the minced beef pasta. Both are really good but the shnoopa is definitely a must try. It’s very unique and I can’t imagine anyone not liking it. Portions are also generous, we had enough to take home to eat it for dinner again. The atmosphere of the place is also great, not too casual not too fancy. If I had to criticize something I’d say the music wasn’t great lol but honestly everything else was amazing I’d 100% go again

Solid place to grab a quick bite in a beautifully decorated restaurant. We were a bit curious about the decision making of the waitress as we came without a reservation and we were seated on a high chair/table area meanwhile all the normal chairs and tables were empty and it was close to the end of the lunch hour. Otherwise, a very chill and relaxing place at a reasonable price point to share a meal with friends.

The pasta was really good & the portion is decent for the price. It would be nice if they had wine or a bar. The tables are not big and are close together so it felt cramped. I had a reservation but maybe they take walk-ins.

I had a wonderful experience at Shnoopa! We tried both the red sauce pasta and the creamy pesto pasta, and they were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The portion sizes were very generous — honestly, the quantity was more than expected, which made the experience even better. The quality of the food was outstanding, and everything tasted homemade and fresh. The restaurant and kitchen were very clean, which is always a big plus. Moreover, the owner Youssef was extremely nice, welcoming, and attentive. His hospitality really made us feel comfortable and appreciated. Highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great pasta and a warm atmosphere. I will definitely be coming back!

Let me start by stating this, I don't really like pasta as I have always found it bland and the sauces not well seasoned... then I found Shnoopa! ... and let me tell you... I love this place, the pasta was amazing! It was fresh, the seasoning was perfect! The portions were great! The atmosphere was comforting! The owner was very Kind and you can see the care he has for the place through the flavours!. This spot needs to be on your bucket list! You need to visit here regardless of where you are coming from! You must visit this spot and try their food!!! Thank you again! We will definitely be back, best Pasta i have ever had!

Very delicious. My friend and I got the Shnoopa and the Pink Sauce! The shnoopa was really good but the pink sauce just tasted like plain mac n cheese. It would’ve been great if we would have been able to change the sort of pasta. Other than that, atmosphere wise, there wasn’t any music so it was a bit awkward, but the decoration is very pretty and photo-worthy!

Shnoopa is such a great find in Griffintown. The vibe is cozy and clean, the staff is welcoming, and the PASTA is honestly soooo good. Everything was fresh and served fast. You can tell they care about quality. Highly recommend !!!!!
