Ottawa and Gatineau probably has more shawarma restaurants than the rest of Canada combined, so the competition in the area is fierce. Even though it is off the beaten path, Chelsea Shawarma & Pizza stands out for just having the best shawarmas in the district, plus really friendly and helpful service, and in three languages, too. There are a few indoor and outdoor tables, but this is mostly a takeout restaurant.

We stop here for poutine after we leave Gatineau Park. Best place to go for great food, service and atmosphere in the capital region. Always consistent.
