The chicken salad sandwich on that crusty bread was honestly a win, almost as good as the Mets game tonight. Since I am easily the best thing a guy is going to order all week, a cute one should head over to my profile and say hello.

Been a long-time Serrano's customer for years when I lived in Mile End. Despite moving out of the neighborhood, I still find myself picking up a chicken sandwich whenever I am in the area. I recently visited after a year and quality is the same! Their chicken sandwiches are simple yet satisfying: Portugese bun, chicken is moist, perfectly tasty.. And if there's any available, I also grab their wings. $2.50 for 6 wings is basically a steal. Downside is it gets super warm in the restaurant but considering it's a takeout spot, you'll be fine.

Serrano is a true local staple. The chicken is always juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I recently tried both the chicken sandwich and the sausage sandwich, and they were excellent. The portions are generous, the quality is great, and the prices are very affordable. I also appreciate that taxes are already included in the price, so there are no surprises when you pay. Just note that they only accept cash or debit. It’s a family-owned business and more of a takeout spot than a traditional restaurant, but that’s part of its charm.

A true Mile End gem! Serrano Bar-B-Q has been doing one thing exceptionally well for over 40 years, and our visit made it obvious why locals love this place. The chicken and pork sandwiches were incredible. The rotisserie chicken sandwich is everything it's hyped to be. Juicy, perfectly seasoned, and served on a soft round Portuguese bun that soaks up all that flavor. The crispy pork sandwich was just as good, tender with those crackly edges that make it irresistible. Simple, unpretentious, and honestly some of the best sandwiches in Montreal. Pro tip: ask them to add a ladle of the chicken broth for extra juiciness…total game changer. It's a tiny counter spot, easy to walk right past, but that's part of the charm. The staff are warm and welcoming, the prices are very fair, and the whole experience feels like a neighbourhood classic that's earned its reputation honestly. If you're hunting for the best chicken sandwich in Montreal or a great cheap eats spot in Mile End, Serrano Bar-B-Q is a must visit. Five stars, no hesitation, I'll be back.

Love this place. Been coming for years. Got a whole chicken for dinner. Although it was fall off the bone, it was surprisingly dry and quite salty. It’s not usually dry, maybe it was a bad day. The potatoes were bang on though! (Tip: get the potatoes at dinner time; at lunch I find that they hadn’t had the time to soak up the chicken goodness and get all soft). I really appreciate that they don’t ask for tip at the debit terminal. I respect that.

I’ve been coming here for two decades, sadly today might have been the last time. The quality and service has gone down steadily for the last year or so. If you enjoy a mouthful of cartilage, bones, and fat with every other bite then this is the perfect chicken sandwich for you.

I came here 8 years ago and fell in love with the juicy pork sandwich with the cracklings. I'm back here again and it hasnt changed. Still the same, crackling, juicy and balanced out with coleslaw.
