I gave this place multiple chances, and every single time I was surprised by how cold and unwelcoming the staff were even though I was the one going out of my way to be friendly. The first time I thought maybe they were just having a bad day. The second and third visit fully confirmed it: they just don’t like you. Even something as simple as not knowing where to leave my plate and cup turned into an ordeal. I asked nicely, and the response was condescending as if I had personally inconvenienced them by trying to clean up after myself. Not even a hint of a smile. I genuinely don’t understand the hype. If you enjoy being made to feel like a burden just for showing up, this is your place. I won’t be going back.

Cool concept and layout, I love seeing the hood busy and filled w people, however I think it’s a shame that some of the employees (male baristas) carry with them such condescending attitude. Not a single hello or a smile in what its supposed to be a « people person » job, but rather a very dry service where it feels like you’re bothering them, even when you’re a regular. This alone makes the place a definite miss, no matter how good the coffee it is. Definitely so many more nice and friendlier options around St Henri!

In addition to loving SavSav in its natural setting as a café, we organized our engagement party and could not have been happier! Felix and Jennet were so great at keeping the event exactly as we’d hoped, tailoring it to our request and offering professional suggestions to make the night one to remember forever. Could not recommend this place enough for any event, and/or for a day of coworking and/or a hidden gem to hang with friends!

yum matcha! staff lowkey seem kind of judgmental but maybe that's just me. i wouldn't recommend studying here if you need it to be really quiet but i had a great time and the vibes were good

Drinks are really good, the place is a bit hard to find and I couldn’t find the door loll. Parking wasn’t the best either. They do have a no laptop policy except on some tables on Sunday, which I didn’t know, and went there to work, all laptop tables were taken. So a bit annoying. But we ended up getting a table at some point after all. The place is cute. It’s like a 50-50 of good and bad things I guess !

The decor is beautiful. As soon as we walked into the place that is the first thing that we noticed. The people are also friendly. The food was great. Lots of options to choose from so all four of us are very happy about it.

Savsav in Montreal was one of the most frustrating coffee shop experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the service only got worse from there. The staff came across as rude, dismissive, and completely uninterested in being helpful. Instead of making customers feel comfortable, they acted like basic questions or requests were somehow an inconvenience. What stood out most was how unaccommodating they were. I got the impression that they had no interest in listening, helping, or even trying to understand what I was asking for. A decent café experience is not just about coffee, it is also about basic courtesy and professionalism, and Savsav failed badly on both. It felt like any attempt at communication was met with attitude rather than patience. The whole experience left a really bad impression. There is a huge difference between a place being busy and a place simply not caring about customers, and this felt like the latter. I do not expect perfection, but I do expect basic respect, and that was completely missing here. With so many better coffee shops in Montreal that actually know how to treat people properly, I honestly cannot see any reason to come back. Save yourself the aggravation and spend your money somewhere that actually deserves it. This city has dozens of coffee shops that know how to treat people properly. Savsav isn't one of them, and based on my experience, I cannot imagine any scenario in which I would ever return. Life is too short, and Montreal's café scene is too good, to waste time on a place like this. The one star was for the size of the coffee :)

Brunch at Savsav came with a bit of a mini adventure at the start. It wasn’t easy to find, there are no clear signs, and it honestly took me about 10 minutes just to locate the entrance. But once you finally step inside… it’s a whole different story. The space opens up beautifully with a really nice vibe. High ceilings, lots of natural light, and these big trees right in the middle that give the place a unique atmosphere. I ordered the bagel salade de poulet it was good. Super fresh ingredients, full of flavor, and just really satisfying. I paired it with a latte coconut milk. The place is great whether you’re going solo or with friends. There are big tables if you want to work, and couches if you just want to chill, read, or hang out. The only downside is that it can get too noisy with the music and people talking loudly, but it didn’t really take away from the experience.

Great vibes. Great music/beats. Great food. Great coffee. Easy to get a table at 12 on a Tuesday. Comfy seating. Great for working if that’s your style. Unique plates and drinks.

this space felt chaotic and unwelcoming. the staff did not greet me as a customer or indicate whether i could seat myself or where to order. after waiting patiently for 15 minutes (i watched other tables appear to get table service), i went to the bar to order food and was promptly informed their kitchen had closed 2 minutes ago. overall savsav left me feeling discouraged and frustrated from the poor service
