What guests say about Sapristi Champlain
Sapristi Champlain seems to be especially appreciated for its pizzas and pastas, with several customers mentioning good quality, tasty dishes, and good value for money. The service is often described as warm, quick, and attentive, although a few reviews mention very disappointing experiences with certain staff members. The atmosphere is generally pleasant, but some find the place noisy or the dining room a bit hectic at times. A few comments also point out dishes that are too salty, sometimes lukewarm, or inconsistent depending on what is ordered.

The food, ambience and the service all made the experience a great one!
We had an amazing experience at Sapristi during our visit to Quebec from Miami. From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent. Since we don’t speak French, we were relying on a friend to translate for us, but then the waitress heard us speaking Spanish and introduced herself as Virginia, letting us know she also spoke Spanish. That immediately made us feel welcome and comfortable. Virginia’s service was truly 5 stars — she was kind, attentive, professional, and made our experience even more special. The food was phenomenal, full of flavor, fresh, and beautifully prepared. Every dish exceeded our expectations. If you’re visiting Quebec and looking for authentic Italian food with outstanding service, we highly recommend this place. Thank you, Virginia, and the entire team at Sapristi for such a memorable evening!
The service was disappointing—the server was unfriendly and didn’t even crack a smile. The French onion soup arrived lukewarm, and the calamari was cool with an overly thick batter, while the squid itself tasted fishy. The cheese pizza was mediocre, at least it was hot, but it was watery and soggy, though the crust was decent. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Delicious pizza!!! Me and my husband just shared one pizza as we are having a dinner in an hour. My second time in this restaurant and will def be back!
Nice pizza
Very quick takeout pizza on a weekday evening. I loved the 1608 pizza, and the chorizo & fig was decent (though sweeter than I'd prefer due to the candied pecans--I'd order it again with fewer pecans).
We ordered a margarita pizza and a mushroom pasta. We asked for no pine nuts on the pasta, the pasta came with pine nuts (I’m severely allergic) and we decided to let it go and my wife had the pasta. The pasta has too much Parmesan in its base sauce and was very acidic. The pizza’s crust was super nice and thin but it lacked a bit of pizza sauce and felt bread-y.
We were in town for a brief stop. Although we couldn’t dine inside because we had a dog they made our to-go meal quickly and our server, Anthony, was a pleasure to deal with. He was very friendly and provided great service. Dix sur dix!!
Five stars for this restaurant Came in as a group of 14-year-olds treated us like normal and gave us amazing food with amazing service
Dined at the restaurant Jan 3, 2026. Had gone for a short getaway in Quebec City. After spending the day at a mall with a built in amusement park, 4 adults and two young children went looking for a restaurant. It was bitterly cold, restaurants were busy….we came upon Sapristi, one of our party went in and was somehow able to get us seating, with the assistance of Isaac. The restaurant was very busy. The staff were lovely. Eve, our server was so nice! The food was very good! Price overall was not bad considering the food and a bottle of wine. The atmosphere was very good, we were not rushed at all. Will definitely return when next in Quebec.
We liked the food the first night, and went back the second night just to make sure. The food was so good I would recommend this place to anyone. Thanks to the staff, they were amazing.
Prime pizza spot! We had the Fantasia and the Four cheeses pizzas. The dough is really airy and the best pizzas we've had ever! The Fantasia is really loaded with prosciutto, and the Four cheeses had a nice cheese mix. We also splurged on a chocolate cake at the end, which was not too sweet, perfect and rich. The service was really good and we felt really cared for throughout the meal. It was a bit loud as we were in rush hour, but i see it more as a sign of great success and happy customers.
Food was decent but came a bit on the cool side. Service was fabulous.
Food is fine, service is bad
Exceeded expectations!
Were we sat next to screaming kids who consistently kicked at our chairs and table. Our server was passive aggressive and rude.
